The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained a senior officer serving at an army camp for alleged bribery.

A six-day remand order until Feb 2 was granted by Magistrate Uthman Abd Ghani after an application by the MACC at the Ayer Keroh Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday (Jan 28).

00:2512.15 p.m. on Tuesday when he turned up to give his statement at the state
00:30M.A.C.C. headquarters in Alai. According to a source,

00:35investigations revealed that the suspect, who was the commanding officer of the
00:39camp,
00:40reportedly committed the offence two years ago, the suspect is believed to
00:44have received payment
00:45amounting to approximately 150,000 ringgit in cash.
00:50From five companies as an inducement for awarding raw material supply works for
00:54them.
