00:45escaped. For 34 days, Caroline searched tirelessly, helped by the people of Albi, and yet-

00:50every night, Fiona would return to lie outside Caroline's door, always just out of reach.

00:55Until, at last, a humane trap made it possible to bring her to safety. Weak and feverish-

01:00Fiona was rushed to the vet. Sadly, they discovered a tumor in her abdomen, and feared the cancer-

01:05had spread. Fiona underwent surgery, and then, a miracle. The biopsy revealed it wasn't-

01:10cancer at all, but a rare infection accompanied by internal bleeding. After everything they had been

01:14through-

01:15they were finally able to begin working with a behaviorist, who confirmed that Fiona had suffered severe-

01:20abuse. Today, thanks to Caroline's patience, Fiona is learning to trust. She can finally relax-

01:25and look into the eyes of the woman who saved her-
