00:00On a hot summer day, a tourist in the south of France found a dog wandering the streets alone.

00:05She was skinny, thirsty, hungry, and terrified of humans. She was brought to the police station

00:10but could not be identified. While waiting to be transferred to the pound, an animal shelter named

00:14Ponsonquinou-Ecu received a call, and upon seeing her photos, they immediately fell in love with

00:19Vaya. They decided to take her in and care for her until she found a family. At the time, Vaya

00:25weighed only 42 pounds. She was afraid of public places and strangers, but her rescuers were not

00:30afraid of the road ahead. As the days went by, no one came to claim her. So, they got her vaccinated,

00:36microchipped, spayed, and above all, they restored her confidence. Little by little, everything changed.

00:43Vaya discovered the beach, long walks, cuddles on the sofa, and even the comfort of a warm bed.

00:48A new world was opening up to her. After taking care of Vaya for a month and a half, her rescuers

00:53made a decision. Vaya would stay with them forever, and most importantly, she would be

00:58safe forever. Today, Vaya weighs almost 53 pounds. She still has a way to go, but she has found

01:04what matters most. Trust, love, and a forever family.
