00:45This of course in the wake of the killing of ICU nurse Alex Petty by border patrol.
00:50officers on Saturday the agency's commander then Greg Bovino he basically
00:55spent the weekend lashing out at critics on TV and online.
01:00One interview with CNN he said it was actually the border patrol agents who were the true victims.
01:05In Saturday shooting something he also repeated online where he replied to many
01:10comments which led to Homeland Security officials removing his access to his social media.
01:15media accounts. That, again, according to CNN. Well, Bovino's claims that Pretti
01:20wanted to, quote, massacre law enforcement. Well, of course, undercut by the video evidence
01:25of the shooting that then came out online, and the White House pulled back from the heated
01:29rhetoric.
01:30That other high-ranking officials have also engaged in. That includes the Department
01:33of Homeland Security.
01:35Secretary Kristi Noem, who called Pretti a domestic terrorist. Caroline Levitt on Monday said
01:40that the president hadn't characterised the 37-year-old nurse for veterans in the same
