00:30locations will earn an additional 21 cents in Bitcoin for every hour worked.
00:35According to a recent statement posted on X, the bonus will vest after two years, meaning
00:40workers must remain employed to receive the accumulated amount.

00:45The hourly Bitcoin reward amounts to roughly 2.9% of the federal
00:50minimum wage.
00:51It will be distributed through a partnership with fintech platform Fold.
00:55which will handle the tracking and payout of the cryptocurrency.

01:00Steak and Shake's announcement last week that it added $10 million worth of Bitcoin to its

01:06The company began integrating Bitcoin into its operations in 2020.

01:15lightning network, executives have previously stated that the move was driven by cost saving
01:20earnings as well as customer behavior.

01:35quarter of 2025 following the rollout.

01:41The company has also leaned into Bitcoin-themed branding.
01:45In October of last year, it introduced a limited Bitcoin meal, which includes
01:50a small contribution to open-source Bitcoin development.
