00:00Now I am joined by Minister of Energy from Sudan, Mr. Ibrahim. Sir, I want to know your take for
00:11India energy sector as Sudan is the most you know influential country for producing oil. So what is
00:17your take on India and Sudan ties on this oil? Of course, first I want to mention that there
00:25is a historical relationship between India and Sudan. Even that might also pertain to the oil
00:37industry and energy industry in general and it was still ongoing the cooperation between us and
00:46is going to go forward. We came here also to participate in the Indian Energy Week which is
00:55a gathering of a group of the top professionals in the energy sector. Of course also I need to
01:05mention that Sudan is a producing an oil producing country. It also has its own minerals and resources
01:15but needless to mention that during the last three years there is a bit of a conflict. There is a
01:25conflict ongoing which has also affected the infrastructure especially the energy infrastructure
01:34and the production of the oil in the Sudan was before was quite a considerable amount and now
01:41because of the militia attacks on the oil infrastructure and oil producing blocks we are a bit short in
01:53in our production. So we are now our priorities to rebuild those in that infrastructure and of course we came
02:06here and we are going to meet his excellencies the minister of energy and the companies who are already
02:12involved in our oil production and energy sector like electricity and renewables and different types
02:25of energy. We are looking forward to have some agreements and on the way forward and settling some issues you
02:37know which was the outcome of the war. We hopefully look forward for a fruitful and beneficial
02:49relationship with India who is always now our partner and we always look forward for them to help in
03:01help in this difficult time. Can you shed some more light about the you know Sudan and EU relationship and ties on this energy sector?
03:10We are not far from relationship with all the parts of the world because we are not involved in any conflict with somebody
03:22but mostly we are not shy of saying that we we are asking all the all the blocks to stop interfering in the in the affairs of Sudan and
03:38stop refueling that conflict which is now affecting the whole country and the humanitarian issues which are resulting from that conflict.
03:52Any MOUs or any agreements you are planning or any ties or strategic partnership with India you are planning or are about to do sir?
04:02We are dealing with the current agreements which are ongoing between India and Sudan especially in the oil production and oil transportation and we have a lot of intersections
04:20regarding the regulations regarding the oil production and pipeline pipeline oil transportation.
04:28Those agreements are in place that are still in place but we are looking for them further to reinvest in the production
04:36the production the production the producing blocks now and also invest in the future blocks you know which are still have the potential to produce oil.
