At least 18 people are dead with several dozens missing after a ferry sank off the coast of Basilan past midnight on Monday, January 26. Basilan Governor Mujiv Hataman says about 223 passengers have so far been rescued and brought to the Isabela City Port.

00:27Commercial vessels are also helping rescue operations being done by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and local authorities.
00:34This is the second major incident involving a vessel owned by Allison Shipping Lines.
00:39In March 2023, the MV Lady Mary Joy III caught fire near Balok Balok Island while also sailing to Holo from Zamwanga City.
