Nigel Farage MP, Reform UK Leader, says at his weekly press conference that the Government "doesn't have a patriotic bone in its body". Farage also heavily criticised the decision to hand over the Chagos Islands, while paying Mauritius around £100m a year to lease back the Diego Garcia military base currently on the islands. 00:00We have a government who, whilst they talk about defence,
00:04frankly, are doing little about it.
00:09Apart, of course, from not just giving away the Shagos Islands
00:17and the military base at Diego Garcia,
00:21which for our vital American allies
00:24is their single most important base anywhere in the world
00:29outside of America.
00:31No, he's not just giving it away.
00:34He's paying them to take office what is rightfully ours.
00:42We have a government led by human rights lawyers,
00:49a government prepared to bow down
00:50to some vague concept of international law
00:54administered by foreign courts,
00:56and a government that I believe
00:59doesn't have a patriotic bone in its body.
01:04These people are not with us.
01:06I look forward to watching out with the war of security,
01:09and I think it's important to do with no support.
01:13We'll be looking forward to seeing where it happens as the nation's
01:16project,ה
01:22being able to do so.
