Tensions rise in Crowborough, UK, as approximately 2,000 residents march in protest of plans to house several hundred migrants in a former military barracks.

Protesters chanted slogans like “Stop the boats” and expressed concerns about local safety and resources. Residents such as Ellie Anderson insisted, “We’re not racists at all, but many people commit offences here — we’ve already got enough to deal with.”

The march covered 4.5 kilometers over two hours, highlighting the growing debate in the UK over migrant housing, integration, and local community concerns.

Watch the full coverage of the protest, and hear from local residents.

02:03What we need to be doing with our communities is that we need to be supporting each other.
02:13A bit more detail. So the main point I wanted to make today is you guys are amazing for coming out week after week.
02:24We will not be bound down. We will not be defeated. We will come out week on week and tell this government and our council that we're not accepting what they're doing.
02:36It's an old town. We're not a country. We're taking it back.
02:40We want a country back. We want a country back.
02:46What government is doing right now, establishment, they're dumping all illegals in the peaceful communities.
02:59And the safety of our kids, our ladies are in danger.
03:03So I'm here to raise the voice that these marches are not about racism. It's about safety of our future. That's why I'm here.
03:11I'm doing it from last two years. I'm going to a lot of marches, rallies with all my English friends.
03:16I feel very comfortable because the thing is this country gave me shelter. This is my time now to stand with them.
03:24Because they need me now. When I came here, they helped me. Now they need me. I need to stand with them and show people it's not about racism.
03:31It's about the safety of our kids. That's why I'm here.
03:34We're a small island and we can't afford to have too many migrants in this country.
03:40We haven't got enough capacity. Our NHS is filling up. It's going to take in hours for English people to get a doctor's appointment.
03:50Our taxes are going to waste. Our police force are getting overstretched. It's going to cause a riot soon.
03:57I've showed up to every single one of these marches apart from one when we were away for the weekend because this is absolutely crazy.
04:05I don't blame the migrants. I blame our weak, faux authoritarian government which is imposing this on us.
04:11There are people that commit offences in every community but that's why we don't need any more here.
04:15We've already got people that commit offences, men that commit offences. We don't need any more here.
04:20We've already got enough to deal with. So that's my argument, you know.
04:24We're not racist at all in the slightest. We're all mothers, fathers, grandparents that are petrified for our safeties and our children's safeties.
04:33That is all it comes down to. It would be exactly the same if it was unvetted British men in there.
04:38It wouldn't matter. They're unvetted men. We don't know who they are. That's the argument. That's, you know, as simple as that, wouldn't it?
04:46The crime rates will go up big time. Let's face it, they've come from countries that don't feel that us as women have rights.
04:58So, yeah, I'm scared for my safety and my kids' safety.
05:03I'm somebody who deeply cares about the immigration of this country and the effects it's having on the social fabric.
05:10You know, it's, look at some of the behaviour, not all of them, of course, but there is behaviour amongst a significant minority who is totally antisocial
05:18and a lot of them do not have any respect for women and girls, which, you know, I'm sorry, you have to learn our culture.
05:24And if you don't like it, you should go home.
05:27Yeah, stop the boats. Don't make it a third world country.
05:31That's why the third world countries are like they are, because of what's being imported.
05:40They're like you.
05:50So, yeah.
05:53We're just trying to talk to them.
05:56We just dropping two countries afterwards.
05:58So, these are, you know,
