10:03Gentlemen, this is a match that is absolutely defined what it means to be in the main event of the Tokyo Dome.
10:10Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada will do the dance one final time here tonight.
10:18Fourth and final, as much as we can say clearly the advantage in singles matches going to Kazuchika Okada.
10:24The Tokyo Dome, a different animal.
10:26And it is here that Tanahashi is 2-1 over Kazuchika Okada, the last being 10 years gold to the day.

10:55It's a feeling that you never want to end and it's certainly one that we are going to soak in for its duration.

11:03Chris, a long standing history and it was, well, Okada who made his first big play, his big first name,
11:09won his first championship over the back of Tanahashi.
11:12I was right here in the Tokyo Dome Wrestle Kingdom 6.
11:15I was up in the cheap seats when Kazuchika Okada came down after, well, I mean, let's not face it.
11:20Not a great match against Yoshihashi.
11:22And then instantly stepped to Tanahashi and said, well, I'm going to take over from now on.
11:27And nobody could believe it.

11:33It was then in Osaka, the Rainmaker Shock that changed the world.
11:37And the trajectory of the Rainmaker started there.

11:45I think there's so much that happened over the course of that career.
11:49It was a career turning point, not just for Okada, Rob, but for Tanahashi as well.
11:53Because for a full year, he was unbeaten.
11:57He was just the unstoppable beast.
12:00And there was a moment where Tanahashi, in losing to Okada, he had to confront to a sense his mortality as a competitor.
12:07It set him up for the next 14 years to still be one of the best wrestlers in the world.

12:23And it's interesting, Tanahashi was 35 when he lost to Okada.
12:27When Shinsuke Nakamura was 35, he left to pass his mute.

12:35When Kazuchika Okada was 35, he did the same.
12:37It's almost like there was a moment where those men, faced with the same mortality that Tanahashi had,
12:43chose to take a different path in their careers.
12:46But Tanahashi always, from day one to day final, right here in New Japan.
12:55In a world of a lot of debate, who goes where, who goes what, what professional wrestling canvas that you see covering any sort of ring, Hiroshi Tanahashi has been New Japan Pro Wrestling through and through.
