Jessica Pegula a éliminé la tenante du titre Madison Keys 6-3, 6-4 ce lundi 26 janvier en huitièmes de finale de l’Open d’Australie 2026. Sur la Rod Laver Arena, Pegula a livré un match très “propre” pour éteindre l’élan de Keys, championne en titre, en 1h18. Keys a payé cash une partie irrégulière : 28 fautes directes, malgré 26 coups gagnants. De son côté, la native de Buffalo a été très sereine en ne concédant que 13 fautes directes (pour 14 winners).
