00:08to not only direct a live-action movie,
00:11but to be jumping back into a world that I frankly miss.

00:19I miss these characters. I miss this world.
00:21And I love movies that have a really poignant message
00:26buried deep within a moving spectacle.
00:30Adventure.
00:31Wonder.
00:33And that's what this movie really packs.
00:38It's about a regular kid who gets to bond with a powerful animal.
00:42And there is something that's universally wish-fulfilling about that.
00:47But at its core, this is really a story about finding your voice
00:51and being brave enough to follow your own convictions
00:54in a world that wants you to become like everyone else.

01:02has been such an important lesson for me in my life
01:05that I love to carry that forward.

01:27When it comes to Nico and Mason,
01:29these two just sort of came alive in the room.
01:33And suddenly, I felt that they both embodied
01:35the core character of Hiccup and Astrid live
01:38in a way that nobody else could.
01:40Gerard Butler is stoic.
01:44He is the co-creator of the role.
01:46To watch him step right out of the animated movie
01:49and here he is in front of you, stoic the vast,
01:52it's such a treat to watch.
01:54My hope is that those who had seen
01:57and loved the How to Train Your Dragon films
01:59will be keen to see what we've done
02:02because it comes from a place of love
02:04and it comes from a place of respect.
02:06This whole thing is just one big, giant adventure
02:10and I wake up every day feeling so thankful
02:13that I get to do it.
