00:20A man was fatally shot by a federal immigration enforcement agent in Minneapolis on Saturday,
00:27heightening already existing tensions in the city.
00:31The victim has been identified as Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident and intensive care unit nurse.
00:39After the shooting, hundreds of people took to the streets to protest against the presence of agents in their state,
00:46with top Democrats calling for ICE to leave Minnesota.
00:50Right now we are focused on getting ICE out of the state.
00:53And of course we will use every lever that we have.
00:58But I do remind people that Donald Trump runs the White House.

01:14Homeland Security said agents fired defensive shots after a man with a handgun
01:20approached and resisted attempts to disarm him during an operation.
01:24But videos filmed by bystanders showed Pretti holding a phone with no clear sign of him wielding a weapon.
01:32Minnesota Governor Tim Walls said he had no confidence in federal officials
01:36and the state would lead the investigation into the shooting.
01:40The incident marks the second fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen
01:43by immigration enforcement officials in Minneapolis this month.
01:50French President Emmanuel Macron says he wants to speed up the process to impose a ban on social media
01:58for under-15s starting in September.

02:05Macron also said that mobile phones will be banned in high schools.
