00:06discovery at the Montu Temple in Southern Ebge's renowned Karanak Temple complex,
00:12renowned for its monuments. The newly uncovered sacred lake lies west of the
00:17Maath Temple, dedicated to Maath, the ancient Egyptian goddess of harmony,
00:22justice and truth. The lake is more than 50 square meters and is well preserved.
00:26The lake is in the early archaeological archives, according to the Joint Mission Archaeologicals.
00:32Jia Xiavin, the Chinese head of the project, said the discovery forms a unique layout of two
00:38sacred lakes along north and south within the Karanak enclosure walls.
00:42The new finding fills a gap in Egyptology and Egyptian archaeological history. It is not
00:53only the discovery of a second sacred lake but also the only sacred lake uncovered through systematic
