00:09From Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida, welcome to GUT, the action sports show that's gonna make you sweat.
00:20Do, do you have a, and now to these fearless players wearing a banner blue from Glenridge Middle School.
00:27It's Ronnie Killer So.
00:34In the rocking red from Southwest Middle School, it's Justin Doberman.
00:40Do, do, do, do, do, do, roll.
00:45And in the face setting, purple from Maitland Middle School, Jennifer the Jaguar Kindle.
00:57Hello, everyone. I'm Mike O'Malley. Welcome to the Extreme Arena, home of Nickelodeon Guts,
01:02the action sports show where kids live out their greatest sports fantasies. Today, our players
01:07once again competing in four fantastic events. And after that, they'll get a chance at tackling
01:12our radical rock, the Aggro Crag, where almost anything can happen. The player with the most
01:18points at the end of all of our events is the winner. And he or she will be able to take home
01:23a glowing piece of our most awesome rock. Now, remember, folks, all of our events here
01:29on Guts are specifically designed with our players' safety in mind. Our players will be
01:33wearing safety equipment, and we'll have a professional stunt director and stunt spotters
01:37with them at all times. So please do not try this at home. Now, our first event is called
01:43Off the Wall, and it makes you feel like Ricky Henderson knocking down home runs from the
01:48outfield wall. Big. And you don't even need a glove. But you do need an elastic cord here
01:53on Guts. An elastic sports fantasy about to take place. Let's go to our referee, Moorquirk,
01:59for the rules. Moe.
01:59Hey there, Mike. Our players will have 45 seconds to knock as many balls off the wall as possible.
02:05Our players must stay in their designated space, and the player who knocks down the most balls
02:09wins. Mike.
02:10All right, so our players up on the aerial bridge and ready to compete. 45 seconds on the
02:14clock. Let's go. On your mark, get set.
02:18All right, back, back, back, back, back up and off the wall. Our players go. Let's just take
02:24a look. They're just flying into that wall. Justin Doberman draw in red. Looks like he
02:31may be in the lead. Also, there's a shot of him up close and personal. Ronnie Killer Soles
02:37getting his foot soles back up on the aerial bridge. There's Jennifer in purple also attacking
02:43that wall as we look at Jennifer in purple. That's Justin in red. Jennifer using her feet.
02:49Kicking as he evens. She goes back. That's Doberman sticking his teeth. And now a couple
02:53more baseballs. That's Jennifer going back up. There's Justin again. Oh, folks, looks
03:00close. All of our players with a lot of space. Oh, and right before the buzzer, the Doberman
03:07Justin in red. As you take a look at Ronnie getting off the aerial bridge, he had knocked
03:12off like four or five baseballs right at the buzzer. And with all of our players competing
03:18in that last event, they all did some nice work, but that may have been the turning point
03:22in this event. We have, take a look at the replay. Jennifer, she jumps off. Nice form.
03:28Powerful as she goes up and knocking baseballs up on the way up and on the way back down.
03:35And so we have our results right now. And let's go to Mo and get, get a Mo.
03:40Well, Mike, Justin in red came in first, knocking down 47 balls in second place. Jennifer with
03:4538 and third place, Ronnie with 23. All right. So we got Justin right here getting the extreme
03:52arena to applaud for him. You don't need to get any extra applause, man. You did a great job
03:56on that. Only three baseballs left on your wall. Was there any fear factor going into
04:00the wall? I mean, crashing into that for you. Not really. I just kind of like came out here
04:05and just knock as many as I can. All right. Let's take a look at the replay and you can
04:09describe for us what happened in this last event. You're jumping off the aerial bridge
04:13right here and going up on the wall. What was your strategy? Basically, I just tried to
04:17get as much air as possible and on the way, get up, get as many as I can and on the way down
04:22and do the same thing. All right. So getting back up on the aerial bridge, 47 out of a possible
04:2850. That means first place points for him. Let's go to Mo and check out our leaderboard.
04:33Mo. Mike, first place in our events is worth 300 points. That goes to Justin in red with
04:37200 points in second place. Jennifer in purple with 100 points in third place. Ronnie in blue.
04:44Well, folks, so far so good. Our first event, Elastic Sports. And now it's time for a segment
04:50we call Spill Your Guts. Ronnie, killer souls, always assassinates the competition,
04:56especially on the baseball field. For Ronnie, that's equals enthusiasm.
05:02Oh, our players' enthusiasm is going to come in here in our next event. Wild pitch, which
05:07our players, the pitches are coming out one after the other. They're just a match for Roger
05:12Clemens pegging a fastball at your head. That's what our players are going to experience in
05:15this next event. Let's go to Mo for the rules. Mo.
05:17Well, Mike, each player will have 45 seconds to hit as many balls as possible. Once again,
05:22our players must stay in their designated areas, and the player with the most hits wins. Players,
05:27on your mark, please get set.
05:30All right, so 45 seconds to hit as many balls as possible. Another baseball event here on
05:36Guts, showing our players' batting ability right here. And there's Ronnie Killer in the
05:42bunting position. Jennifer's swinging away right there in purple. And there's Justin with the
05:47Doberman. He's getting some good wood on the ball in this event. Those pitches are coming. Oh,
05:52Justin with good work right there. From the batting gauge cam, you saw him and Ronnie squared away,
05:59not having success right there in the bunting position. It's Jennifer fouling away a pitch right
06:06there, but that counts because she hit it. Looking for hits right there. It looks like purple's in the
06:11lead. 13 for... Oh, it's right... All right. It's right there on that last event. Justin with a smile
06:22on his face, getting some good wood on the ball in that last event. And our judges have tabulated the
06:27scores. We're going to throw to Mo and find out what the results were.
06:28Well, Justin came in first with 15 hits in second place. Jennifer in purple with 13 hits in third
06:34place. Ronnie in blue with nine hits, Mike. All right. Let's take a look at the replay right here
06:39as Jennifer with a nice second place finish with 13 hits. Missing those right there, but keeping
06:45squared away and getting some good bat on the ball right there. Getting hit by that one. But she got 13
06:51in 45 seconds. And then here's a look at Justin who just edged out Jennifer in this event.
06:57Aggressive in the batter's box. Those pitches were flying right in there, Adam. He was ready for the next
07:03pitch. That one went a little bit low, but he took 15 in that event. Great work for him. And let's go to
07:09Mo and check out our leaderboard standings now. Mo. Well, right now, Justin is still in the lead with
07:14600 points. In second place, Jennifer in purple with 400 points. In third place, Ronnie in blue with 200 points.
07:20All right, so a perfect score for Justin so far. You stick around. More events, more action. Coming up.
07:29Guts!
07:35Guts!
07:36Welcome back to Guts, the action sports show that asks, do you have it?
07:40Guts!
07:41The Extreme Arena getting ready for our next event, but right now it is time for Spill Your Guts.
07:46Justin Doberman-Drawl is a 14-year-old baseball star. When the Doberman isn't ripping apart the competition on the field, he's doing things normal people wouldn't.
07:56For Justin, Guts, of course, unique.
07:58Well, unique is certainly what our next event is. It's called Mad Max, and it is a dash through a post-nuclear terrain, folks.
08:08That blinking yellow right there usually means costing, but not for our players right here.
08:13Their players are going to be making through the junkyard, and then after the junkyard, they're going to go right into the speed bumps.
08:19After that turn, they'll come through the pothole pass, and then a final crash finish through the dead end.
08:26Let's go to Mo for the rules. Mo.
08:28Well, Mike, at the sound of my whistle, each player will race around the track.
08:32Players must go through or over every obstacle, and time penalties will be added for any violations.
08:38Best time wins. On your mark, get set.
08:41All right, so Ronnie, the killer, off the ramp, and into the second turn.
08:48He needs some good finish right here, keeping control through the speed bumps.
08:53Goes into this event with 200 points. He makes it through the pothole pass, and bumping all around.
08:58Just maneuvering his vehicle past the third, fourth turn, and then across the finish line.
09:05Right there, and so we will go to Mo and find out what Ronnie's official time was.
09:10He did some excellent work on that one, and across the finish line, out of the bike.
09:15And it looks like Mo is ready with the results.
09:17Mo.
09:18Ronnie clocked in at 27.5 seconds, and he accumulated three penalties for going off the track.
09:24All right, so control, extremely important in this event.
09:29He slips right off the track right there, just slightly going off the track.
09:34And as he continued his run around the track, a couple of other penalties.
09:40So as Justin gets into his bike next, he goes into this event with 600 points.
09:45He has a perfect score.
09:47We will see if he will be able to take first place in this event and hold on to that perfect score.
09:53And also control, we'll see if he can control his bike and not fall off the track.
09:58So it looks like he's ready and raring to go.
10:00We're ready now, Mike.
10:03On your mark, get set.
10:05All right, so that whistle means down the ramp and into the first turn.
10:09And it doesn't look like he slipped off the track right there.
10:12Seven seconds as he goes into the speed bumps.
10:14Will the bumps slow him down?
10:15It doesn't look like it.
10:17Justin Doberman barking his way through those potholes.
10:22Coming around the final turn, he's going through the crash finish.
10:24He's going to need to generate some speed across.
10:27Oh, and slips off the track there at the end, folks.
10:30So we'll find out whether or not he will be assessed a penalty.
10:34Mo will be talking with the judges and find out what it is as he gets out of the bike right there.
10:39So 22, it was about 22 seconds that he crossed the finish line in, but I do believe he slipped off the track at the end.
10:45Let's go to Mo.
10:47Justin clocked in at 24.5 seconds.
10:49That includes one off-the-track penalty.
10:51All right, so take a look right here as he makes it through the potholes.
10:56Heading good time because it shows you what the penalties will do.
11:01Ronnie, without the penalties, would have beat Justin right there.
11:06And he came across the finish line and through the dead-end finish, slipping off the track right there with the cinder block in tow.
11:17And so they are talking over that last event with Mo and one of our judges, and it looks like Jennifer is set and raring to go.
11:25On your mark, get set.
11:27All right, so Jennifer up next.
11:30She's taken 400 points into this event and goes crashing right into the tires, having trouble off the ramp, steering her vehicle.
11:39This three-wheel vehicle, mastering the three-wheel bike, extremely important because you're steering with your body, folks.
11:46No handlebars or steering wheel in this event.
11:50And not only that, you've got to generate your own speed.
11:54This isn't electrical or gas-powered.
11:58This is kid-powered and crashing into the wall.
12:01Jennifer right there, having some trouble with the stunt spotters, ensuring that she has a safe finish as she gets into her Mad Max vehicle,
12:12crashing through the dead-end finish.
12:14And she must come across the finish line for the clock to stop.
12:17We will go to Mo and find out what the official results are.
12:20I do believe that she was assessed a few penalties on that.
12:23Let's go to Mo.
12:24Mo.
12:25Jennifer clocked in at 54.6.
12:27She also accumulated three off-the-track penalties.
12:30So that puts Justin in first place, Ronnie in second place, Jennifer in third place.
12:35All right, so there's our place standings on that last one, and we have Jennifer right here.
12:39Jennifer right here, have you ever been through a race like that?
12:42No, definitely not.
12:43Let's take a look at the replay.
12:44I want you to describe what happened.
12:46You were going through the potholes, and what happened right here?
12:49Well, I guess it's just, it's really hard to steer, and I guess I just didn't have the power of my legs for the steering part.
12:55So, it was really hard.
12:57And you went off the track right here, but excellent competitor.
13:01Let's go to Mo and find out what our standings are now.
13:03Mo.
13:04Justin is in the lead with 900 points.
13:06In second place, Jennifer in purple with 500 points.
13:09In third place, Ronnie in blue with 400 points.
13:12All right, so Justin's got a perfect score.
13:16That's right, the Doberman barking his way to 900 points.
13:19And right now it's time for Spill Your Guts.
13:22Jennifer the Jagger Ginther is an 11-year-old softball star.
13:26When Jennifer isn't practicing her swing, she's jumping on a trampoline.
13:29But the Jagger, Guts equals skill.
13:32Skill needed in our next event, another Elastic Sports event called Jump and Jump, folks.
13:38Elastic Sports Fantasy about to come true, and no, I am not lying down on my couch at home, folks.
13:44I am on the aerial bridge that our players are going to have to jump down, up, and over these hurdles.
13:49Let's go to Mo for the rules. Mo.
13:50Well, Mike, each of our players will jump off the aerial bridge and over two hurdles.
13:54They must climb to the top of the opposite bridge and touch the railing before coming back, and also to end the race.
13:59Time penalties will be added for any hurdles that are knocked down.
14:03The best time wins.
14:05I think we're ready. On your mark, get set.
14:08Okay, and so that whistle means, Ronnie, begin your climb over those hurdles and getting over the first two hurdles with no problem.
14:14Pulling himself up on the aerial bridge.
14:17And now for his return, he's keeping his momentum and having trouble right there, but makes it over the hurdle.
14:23Just knocking it down and pushes himself back to the hurdle so he can get near the aerial bridge and pull himself back up.
14:30He's at 23 seconds right now and back in.
14:33So we will go to Mo and find out what his official time was.
14:38Mo.
14:38Ronnie clocked in at 28.8 seconds.
14:41That includes a five-second penalty for knocking the hurdle down, Mike.
14:45So some trouble for Ronnie right there as you see him going over the last hurdle, making it over, but hits it with his knee and it falls off right there.
14:56And that's where he got the penalty as he went back towards the hurdle and trying to push himself back up the aerial bridge to clock in.
15:03But Justin looks ready to go right now.
15:06On your mark, get set.
15:08This young man has a perfect score and jump, jump, the name of the game.
15:12He's jump, jumping over, but knocks over a hurdle, folks.
15:15His perfect score definitely in jeopardy right now.
15:18He's going to have to hustle back on the second aerial bridge.
15:21He's over the first hurdle.
15:22No, he's knocked another one down.
15:24Having trouble on these hurdles, folks.
15:26This event, extremely different from our first Elastic Sports event.
15:30You're not looking just for height.
15:32You need the momentum to propel yourself over.
15:35He's knocked down three hurdles right now.
15:37That's going to be a lot of penalty time and frustrated as he continues to climb up the aerial bridge.
15:43He still has to get a lock in for a final time right here, folks, because you never know how our third player will do.
15:50Our third player could possibly have the same problems.
15:53And Justin definitely frustrated after that last event.
15:56Let's go to Mo and find out what his official time was.
15:58Mo?
15:59Justin clocked in at 57.2 seconds.
16:01That includes two two-second assistance penalties and three five-second penalties for knocking the hurdle down, Mike.
16:07Okay, we're going to take a look at the replay right now.
16:10And Justin goes over the first hurdle.
16:12No problem.
16:13Second hurdle.
16:14Comes bumping right into that.
16:16And knocking in.
16:17That's where he incurred a five-second penalty and has some trouble with some other hurdles right there.
16:21He's waving it off.
16:22No problem.
16:23He's ready for the aggro crack.
16:24Jennifer is ready.
16:25On your mark, get set.
16:27Okay, so Jennifer goes into this event with 500 points.
16:32And if she can beat Ronnie and Justin in this event.
16:37And she knocks over that hurdle.
16:39But no trouble on that hurdle.
16:41And the second one sits on that, knocks it over.
16:43She's going to have to hustle.
16:44She has two five-second penalties.
16:46And locking in.
16:47So the time to beat was 28.8 seconds.
16:51We will find out what her official time was on that.
16:53Mo?
16:54Jennifer clocked in at 28.7 seconds.
16:57That includes two five-second hurdle penalties.
17:00That puts Jennifer just in first place.
17:03Ronnie in second place.
17:04And Justin in third place.
17:06So one-tenth of a second, ladies and gentlemen, between Jennifer and Ronnie.
17:11Look up close and personal with Justin as he goes over the hurdle.
17:18And knocking it down right there.
17:21Having some trouble.
17:22And excellent work on that last event.
17:25We'll go to Mo and check out our leaderboard standings now.
17:27Mo?
17:28Well, Mike, Justin in red is still in the lead with 1,000 points.
17:31In second place, Jennifer and Purple with 800 points.
17:34In third place, Ronnie and Blue with 600 points.
17:37All right.
17:38So a couple of hurdles to knock down.
17:39And now we've got a mountain to climb, folks.
17:41The Agrocrack.
17:42The big challenge coming up.
17:44Our players haven't seen anything like what they're going to see coming up next.
17:48Stick around.
17:49The crag.
17:50The crag.
17:51Hey, all right.
17:52Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for coming back.
17:53You're going to be happy you came back.
17:54Because we've got our best event coming up.
17:55The Agrocrack event, folks.
17:56Points have skyrocketed in this event.
17:57But first, let's go to Mo and check out where we stand.
17:58Mo?
17:59Well, Mike, after four events, Justin in red is in the lead with 1,000 points.
18:14Jennifer and Purple is in second with 800 points.
18:17And in third with 600 points, Ronnie and Blue.
18:20So that's a look at where they stand.
18:21Now, let's take a look at how they scored to get where they are.
18:25And then off the wall, Jen with a fantastic leap off the aerial bridge.
18:31And off the wall, she took second place in this event.
18:34And quick thinking as she turned around, get back up to jump again.
18:38Justin was in first place.
18:40Look at his great form as he goes up.
18:43He goes up, attacking the wall, back up on the bridge.
18:47And then we take a look at him in wild pitch where he also took first place.
18:51And laughing because those balls are coming in so hard,
18:53he didn't think he'd be able to hit any maybe.
18:55But no, he took first place in wild pitch also.
18:59We go into Mad Max as we take a look at Ronnie going over the speed bumps.
19:04Pounding his body as he steered that three-wheel bike over that.
19:08He took second.
19:09And then in Jump Jump, Jen coming back with a first place finish.
19:15She knocked that hurdle off but composed herself and got back up the bridge,
19:20taking 300 points.
19:22It was a perfect scoring line before we went into that event.
19:25Her first place finish in that event.
19:27Forget the perfect score.
19:29We're going in the Agro Crag now and our players a lot of surprises.
19:33Now beginning at our six-foot rock ledge, Boulder Canyon.
19:37Our players can trigger obstacles like slime floods, avalanches, snowstorms, loose ledges, rolling rocks, smoke.
19:46All while they try to climb to the top of that peak and lock in on their color flag first.
19:54What flag will light up first?
19:56First, let's go to Mo for the rules. Mo.
19:58Players will start at the sound of my whistle.
20:00Each player has an identical side of the mountain to climb and may not cross into another player's path.
20:05Now during their climb, our players must light up each of eight targets located on their side of the crag.
20:11The first player to activate all of the targets, including the final one at the peak of the mountain,
20:16will receive first place points. Mike.
20:18Alright, so the thumbs up from our players as they get ready to climb the Agro Crag.
20:22Let me remind you that the points have skyrocketed as we go into this event.
20:26Third place being worth 375 points. Second, 550 points. And first, a whopping 725 points.
20:36Who will take home the gold medal? Who will take home a piece of that rock?
20:40We're about to find out. Mo, kick it off.
20:42Players, on your mark, get set.
20:45Alright, and that whistle begins to climb up Boulder Canyon as you take a look at Justin, our leader,
20:50going into this event with 1,000 points. There in purple, it's Jennifer.
20:54And she locks in on her second actuator. And Justin in red.
20:59That's Jennifer in purple. She's having some trouble seeing through the snow.
21:04That's Ronnie in blue. Ronnie in blue is in the lead.
21:09Jennifer and Justin right behind. Look it, it's Justin. Ronnie.
21:14Look at this finish, folks. All three of our players. Purple, red and blue.
21:18It's got, oh, red. Looks like red first. Folks, I couldn't tell.
21:23Who locked in second or third. What a finish there on our aggro crag event.
21:30All three of our players neck and neck at the top of the mountain.
21:33What a finish. Let's go to Mo and find out our results. Mo.
21:36Very close, Mike. In first place, Justin in red. In second place, Ronnie in blue. In third place, Jennifer in purple.
21:43So our players once again proving how provocative this final event can be as Ronnie hitting his actuators.
21:52Snow everywhere. Good patient hustle as he climbed up the mountain. The rocks came tumbling down on him first.
22:00He was in the lead. But Justin and Jennifer catching up on our final section. Look how close they are right here, folks.
22:07As Justin locks in first. Then Ronnie. Then split second right before Jennifer.
22:13What a finish here today on Guts. Fantastic aggro crag event. All of our players proving the athletes that they are.
22:20Let's go to Mo and check out our final leaderboard standings. Mo.
22:23Well, in third place today, Mike, Ronnie in blue with 1,150 points. In second place, Jennifer in purple, 1,175 points. Our winner today, Justin in red, 1,725 points.
22:38And so Ronnie, who got up to the crag, just seconds behind Justin, gets the bronze, ladies and gentlemen. The silver medal going to Jennifer.
22:54And the gold going to Justin, ladies and gentlemen. Our first place finisher today. The gold medal goes to him. And with that gold medal, a glowing piece of our most awesome rock.
23:07A most awesome performance by all of our players here today. Go ifs, ands, or buts. These kids got Guts. Do you have it?
23:16All Guts players compete in Reebok athletic shoes who remind you that on Planet Reebok, there are no rules.
23:22Guts. Chats.
23:34timeframe we have to wait.
