European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen भारत पहुंच चुकी हैं।वह 77वें Republic Day समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर शामिल होंगी।उनके साथ European Council President Antonio Luis Santos da Costa भी भारत दौरे पर हैं।यह दौरा India–EU संबंधों के लिए बेहद अहम माना जा रहा है।Republic Day के बाद India–EU Summit आयोजित होगी।इस दौरान लंबे समय से अटके Free Trade Agreement पर चर्चा होगी।Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal ने इसे “Mother of all trade deals” बताया है।Global trade tensions के बीच यह डील काफी अहम मानी जा रही है।यह दौरा भारत और यूरोप की रणनीतिक साझेदारी को नई दिशा दे सकता है।
