00:17In the Maho area near Indore, at least 22 people fell ill after consuming contaminated
00:22drinking water with symptoms like vomiting and jaundice-like sickness and several patients
00:26rushed to hospitals for treatment.
00:28Out of the 22, nine have been admitted to the hospital.
00:32Authorities said the number of affected people could rise beyond 25 as additional cases have
00:37been reported from nearby areas.
00:39This fresh outbreak has reignited fears about water safety in what is often touted as India's
00:44cleanest city.
00:45The matter has already reached the Madhya Pradesh High Court, where activists and residents are
00:49demanding accountability and real solutions to prevent this crisis from repeating.
