00:20Northumbria police said Bello fled, rammed a police car and left Hunter injured.
00:24Bello, 52 of no fixed address, later pleaded guilty to wounding with intent
00:28and was jailed for four years, also receiving a two-year driving ban.
00:33PC Hunter, who's now returned to work, received the bravery and life-saving award.
00:38Assistant Chief Constable Steve Wykes praised his courage and professionalism.
