00:00And on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas
00:05during his official visit to Moscow to discuss issues of bilateral interest.
00:11During the meeting, the leaders discussed economic, commercial, cultural and humanitarian development,
00:16as well as the situation in the Middle East and the Gaza Strip specifically.
00:21Russian head of state Vladimir Putin emphasized his willingness to allocate at least $1 billion
00:27from funds blocked by the White House to U.S. President Donald Trump's Peace Council
00:33for the reconstruction of the Palestinian enclave.
00:36In this scenario, Putin also highlighted that trade between Russia and Palestine continues to grow every day.
00:52You already heard that we are prepared to allocate a billion dollars to this new structure.
00:57The peace council, primarily to support the Palestinian people and to use this fund for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip
01:04and, more broadly, for resolving the Palestinian province.
01:09As I've already said, with the asset frozen in the United States under the previous administration,
01:14I think this is entirely possible.
01:16We've discussed such options previously with the representative of the U.S. administration
01:20and a meeting and discussion on this topic is planned in Moscow today.
01:28Also in this context, the Palestinian president highlighted the resilience of his people
01:33amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.
01:36Mr. President, we suffer a lot within the Palestinian land.
01:47You know this very well.
01:51During the Israeli occupation, which carried out a great deal of destruction
01:56in the Gaza Strip, as well as in the West Bank of Jerusalem.
02:06The Palestinian people insisted that they would not leave their country, no matter the cost.
02:12The people of Gaza are now living in tents.
02:16These tents are subject to rain, destruction, and flooding.
02:20Yet, people are determined to remain in their land.
02:26We will not leave it.
02:28What we want is peace.
