00:00Stupid people buy them. They're shocked that people continue to buy those damn things.
00:04Donald Trump has claimed that China make windmills, but they don't actually use wind energy.
00:10They're smart. China's very smart. They make them, they sell them for a fortune.
00:14They sell them to the stupid people that buy them.
00:16Now this isn't true, so let's set this record straight,
00:19but also explain to you why this kind of narrative is so dangerous.
00:23The more windmills a country has, the more money that country loses,
00:27and the worse that country is doing.
00:29Now Trump has long attacked renewable energy,
00:32and always favoured coal, oil and gas, which is non-renewable.
00:36Drill, baby, drill.
00:39Perhaps the greatest hoax in history.
00:41The Green News scam, windmills all over the place, destroy your land.
00:45But here's the reality.
00:4616% of China's electricity generation came from wind energy.
00:51Now given that 1.4 billion people live in China, that 16% counts for a lot.
00:57Data actually shows that China uses twice the amount of wind energy than the US or the EU.
01:03Renewable energy comes from natural sources like wind, light, water, and they replenish themselves.
01:09So this makes it cleaner, it reduces pollution, and it also reduces our dependency on fossil fuels.
01:17So Trump claiming that China doesn't use wind energy despite making a lot of windmills,
01:24windmills. Well, that's completely false. And it also undermines the efficacy of renewables.
01:30They put up a couple of big wind farms, but they don't use them.
01:33They just put them up to show people.
01:35Facts matter. Wind energy is real, and China is using it.
