00:00We go to Mexico, where the government extradited 37 prisoners to the United States as part of its
00:05cooperation agreement on security with Washington. During her morning press conference, President
00:10Claudia Sheinbaum affirmed that the extradition was a sovereign decision and was part of the
00:16agreements on security between both nations after evaluating a request by the U.S. Department of
00:22Justice. Sheinbaum reiterated that her government takes sovereign decisions which are part of public
00:28policies based on the protection of the national sovereignty. The Mexican leader also informed
00:33that the agreements include the training of Mexican soldiers in the United States on issues
00:37of security.
00:42Well, it was the decision of the National Security Council. They have their reasons to send people
00:52to the United States for training.
00:58We have made the decision, or rather, I have made the decision, let's put it that way,
01:04that when the training takes place, it's very important. The trainings are approved by the
01:10National Security Council.
01:14It is not just an institution that makes individual decisions. It's better to use a Mexican plane to
01:23take our trainees and having a U.S. plane come to pick them up.
