00:10MTV has announced that LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and First Class rapper Jack Harlow will MC the 2022 VMAs slated to air live on August 28th at 8pm.
00:20According to MTV, the trio will announce the show's big moments, like the lineup of performers and presenters,
00:31while taking a quote, more innovative and unique approach to the traditional hosting gig.
00:36LL Cool J took to Instagram to share the news, writing, hip-hop is on top.
00:40The three MCs bring a variety of VMAs' experience to the gig.
00:44VMA winner LL Cool J received the 1997 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award,
00:49while five-time VMA winner and super-freaky girl rapper Minaj is up for the best hip-hop video again this year
00:55and receiving this year's Video Vanguard Award.
01:01Plus, Harlow is tied for the most nominations this year with Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X with seven nods.
01:07Doja Cat and Harry Styles are just behind with six nominations.
01:11Artists up for five moon persons include Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd.
