00:00There are moments in history when a single day concentrates decisions capable of echoing for eternity.
00:06Even before the sun rose over Jerusalem, a choice had already been made in the shadows.
00:12And that choice would forever change the destiny of humanity.
00:15What appeared to be just another Roman execution, quick and brutal like so many others,
00:23It carried an invisible weight, impossible for the human eye to perceive at that moment.
00:30In that silent early morning, men believed they were eliminating a political threat.
00:36Silencing an inconvenient voice, preserving their power and influence.
00:40They didn't know that, by raising a cross, they were opening the way for something that could never be stopped.
00:48Two thousand years have passed, but the impact of that day still pulsates.
00:52The name of Jesus of Nazareth has transcended empires, overthrown ideologies, withstood the test of time, and continues to provoke extreme reactions.
01:02Deep love or absolute rejection, adoration or scorn, there is no neutrality when it comes to him.
01:11And perhaps the most unsettling thing is realizing that all those who directly participated in his conviction
01:17They believed they were in control of the situation.
01:20Each one had their reasons, their fears, their interests, and their justifications.
01:28Nevertheless, the scriptures and historical records reveal a striking pattern.
01:35None of them escaped unscathed from the consequences of their choices.
01:39There is a silent law that governs reality, a truth that transcends centuries and cultures.
01:46This is neither superstition nor chance.
01:49It is a spiritual principle stated directly.
01:52No one mocks God without reaping the fruit of what they have sown.
01:56This truth doesn't always manifest itself immediately, but it is infallible.
02:01Sometimes it takes years, in other cases, decades, but she always finds her way.
02:06It all begins with a man whose name has become synonymous with betrayal.
02:12Judas Iscariot was no stranger, he was not a declared enemy,
02:16It wasn't someone from the outside observing from afar.
02:19He was inside.
02:20He walked alongside Jesus, shared meals with him,
02:24He listened to teachings and witnessed miracles that defied any human explanation.
02:30Their eyes witnessed blind people seeing for the first time.
02:33Their ears heard the cries of hungry crowds being silenced as loaves of bread multiplied in ordinary hands.
02:43Their feet walked along dusty roads alongside the one who calmed storms with a single word.
02:49Still, something broke inside him.
02:52Judas' betrayal did not happen suddenly.
02:54She matured slowly, fueled by hidden desires, by a greed that grew silently.
03:01While the other disciples were learning about service and humility,
03:05Judas was attached to money.
03:07He managed the group's funds, but his heart was no longer pure.
03:12Minor deviations, internal justifications, moral concessions.
03:16Until the moment arrived when 30 silver coins seemed enough to betray the one who claimed to be his master.
03:23The value of a slave is less than the price of a common animal.
03:28This is how the savior of the world was evaluated.
03:31That night, in Gethsemane, the darkness was not only all around, but within.
03:36Judas led soldiers and temple officials to Jesus.
03:40He didn't point, he didn't shout her name, he used a gesture of intimacy, a kiss, a sign of friendship transformed into a weapon.
03:47The shock of that moment has endured through the centuries.
03:50Jesus' question still echoes, laden with pain and mercy.
03:55With a kiss, you betray the son of man?
03:58When the weight of reality finally fell upon Judas, it was too late.
04:03He saw Jesus condemned.
04:04He realized he had crossed an irreversible line.
04:08He tried to return the money, confessed that he had betrayed an innocent person,
04:12But the same leaders who used it, discarded it without hesitation.
04:17Remorse took hold, but there was no repentance that sought grace.
04:23Pure despair.
04:24Alone, rejected, consumed by guilt, Judas ended his own life.
04:30His body fell into a field that became known as the field of blood.
04:35His name has been lost to history as an eternal warning.
04:38It's possible to be close to the truth and still get lost when your heart never truly belongs to it.
04:47While Judas fell, others believed they were at the height of power.
04:52Caiaphas, the high priest, wore the robes of the highest spiritual authority in Israel.
04:58He knew the scriptures, conducted sacred rituals, and represented the people before God.
05:04But that night, when Jesus was brought before him, there was no room for truth.
05:09What was at stake was not faith, but control.
05:12Jesus threatened the established structure, challenged the established order, and attracted crowds.
05:19For Caiaphas, it was more convenient to sacrifice a man than to risk losing political stability.
05:26The trial was a farce, hastily conducted overnight, violating the very laws it was supposed to protect.
05:35False witnesses contradicted each other; nothing held up.
05:40Nevertheless, Caiaphas forced the decision.
05:45When Jesus affirmed his identity, he declared what the scriptures had been announcing for centuries.
05:51Caiaphas tore his clothes, not in reverence, but in feigned indignation.
05:55The sentence was sealed.
05:58He deserved to die.
06:00For a brief moment, Caiaphas won.
06:03Jesus was handed over to the Romans and crucified, but the power that seemed so solid began to crumble.
06:09Some years later, the high priest was removed from his position by Roman order.
06:15His influence evaporated.
06:17The man who had positioned himself as judge of the Son of God ended his days without honor, without authority, and, according to ancient traditions, plunged in shame and disgrace.
06:29The guardian of the law rejected the one who was the very embodiment of the law, and his name became known not as a defender of truth, but as a symbol of spiritual corruption.
06:39Behind Caiaphas, there was someone even more subtle.
06:44Annas did not officially hold the position at that time, but he was the one pulling the strings behind the scenes.
06:51A former high priest and patriarch of a religious dynasty, Annas transformed the priesthood into a family empire.
06:59When Jesus was arrested, he was not taken first to the official leader, but to him.
07:09The initial interrogation did not seek to understand, but to find loopholes, words that could be used as accusations.
07:18Jesus responded calmly, reminding them that everything he taught was public.
07:24There was no conspiracy, there was no secret.
07:27This frustrated Annas. Unable to make any progress, he sent Jesus to Caiaphas.
07:32The rest of the story was already written.
07:34Decades later, Jerusalem would descend into chaos.
07:38The city would be surrounded, the temple destroyed, and the priestly elite annihilated.
07:43Annas, who tried to control the sacred, lost everything in the flames of history.
07:48Its influence dissolved into the ruins of a city that did not recognize the time of God's visitation.
07:54Meanwhile, on the Roman side, one man was trying to balance political expediency and conscience.
08:01Pontius Pilate governed an unstable province.
08:04He was known for his harshness, his cruelty, and his disregard for local traditions.
08:10Even so, when he came face to face with Jesus, something disturbed him.
08:16He interrogated, questioned, and listened to answers that didn't fit into common categories.
08:22He repeatedly stated that he found no fault in that man.
08:26Pilate knew.
08:27That's the most unsettling part.
08:29He acknowledged his innocence, understood the motives of his accusers,
08:34He felt fear when he heard about the Son of God.
08:37But the greatest fear was not spiritual.
08:40He was a politician.
08:41The threat of being seen as an enemy of Caesar outweighed justice.
08:47Faced with pressure from the crowd, Pilate tried to wash his hands as if a symbolic gesture could erase an eternal decision.
08:54The cross was erected.
08:55Jesus was executed.
08:57Pilate maintained his position for a while, but not for long.
09:02Years later, he was summoned to Rome to answer for his abuses.
09:05He fell from grace, lost his position, and was exiled.
09:08Old accounts claim that he ended his life in despair, taking his own life.
09:13His name, however, was never forgotten.
09:16To this day, he is remembered not for his political achievements, but for that single choice.
09:22The truth was before him, and he hesitated.
09:25Another ruler also came face to face with Jesus.
09:28Herod Antipas, accustomed to luxury and intrigue, saw in that prisoner a curiosity.
09:35I was expecting a miracle, a spectacle.
09:37When Jesus remained silent, Herod responded with mockery.
09:42He dressed him in a robe, laughed at the idea of his royalty, and sent him back to Pilate.
09:48Another missed opportunity.
09:51Herod's end was as humiliating as his attitude.
09:54Accused, betrayed politically, he lost titles, land, and influence.
09:59Exiled, he died far from power.
10:01The man who ridiculed the true king ended his days without a crown, without honor, and without a legacy.
10:09In the midst of all this, there were anonymous men.
10:12Roman soldiers hardened by violence.
10:15For them, it was just another execution.
10:18They mocked, beat, spat on, stuck nails in them, and divided their clothes.
10:22But something different happened that day.
10:24The earth shook.
10:26The sky darkened.
10:29An eerie silence hung in the air as Jesus gave up his spirit.
10:34A centurion, accustomed to death, looked at the cross and declared something that changed everything.
10:40That man was the Son of God.
10:42We don't know the fate of all those soldiers.
10:45Some, according to ancient traditions, died in battles or revolts.
10:50Others disappeared into the machinery of the empire.
10:55But at least one person came out of that place transformed.
10:58For him, the cross was not the end of an execution, but the beginning of faith.
11:03And there was the crowd, ordinary people, men and women who had seen miracles,
11:07I heard teachings, I felt hope.
11:11When confronted, they chose Barabbas and shouted for his crucifixion.
11:14They took on a responsibility that would resonate for generations.
11:19Decades later, Jerusalem fell.
11:22Hunger, violence, destruction.
11:25The temple in flames, cross after cross on the hills.
11:29But even there, grace found its place.
11:32In the same city that cried out for Jesus' death, thousands converted after the resurrection.
11:39The cross revealed something profound.
11:42God's justice is real and inevitable.
11:45But His mercy is offered until the very last moment.
11:49Even wounded, Jesus prayed for those who crucified him.
11:53This prayer has stood the test of time and continues to resonate.
11:56Did some priests believe?
11:59A centurion confessed.
12:00A thief found salvation in his final moments.
12:03Nothing that happened that day was an accident.
12:06Men tried to silence the truth, but ended up fulfilling the eternal plan.
12:11Empires have come and gone.
12:13Rulers have fallen.
12:15The name of Jesus remained.
12:16He still calls, still offers grace, still confronts consciences.
