00:00We also have with us Mr. Praveen Khandelwal, he is a Lok Sabha MP elected from the seat
00:06of Chandani Chowk in Delhi. Mr. Khandelwal, thank you for taking the time out.
00:11Mr. Khandelwal, generational shift in the BJP. Now, Nitin Nabeen Ji is appointed as the BJP
00:16president. And by looking at, you know, what I was speaking with Ms. Sarangi as well,
00:21there seems to be a strategy affecting and blooding in the new line of leadership or the second
00:28generation of BJP leaders.
00:58Well, Mr. Khandelwal, the Congress is now
01:27saying that you made so much noise. I mean, your party made so much noise during the elections
01:32of the Congress president, where you said that it was undemocratic. They are saying,
01:37look at your own party. Nitin Nabeen Ji has been appointed completely unopposed.
01:41Where is the democracy in your party?
01:45Let me clarify, this is not a nomination. It is a democratic process enshrined in
01:52constitution of BJP, which has been duly followed. And the Congress, because it is a one family party.
02:01So therefore, they are habitual, they have become habitual in making allegations and offenses.
02:09The reigns of BJP has been given to an ordinary karakarta that is not digestible for Congress to go.
02:19So this is the only reason why Congress is accusing like this.
02:24But Mr. Khandelwal, they are saying that at least they had an election, even if it was a Shashi Tharoor,
02:30you know, facing off with Mr. Malik Arjun Kharge. They are saying BJP didn't even hold that election.
02:36There is a democratic process. The field was open to everybody to file nomination. Only one
02:44nomination of Shri Nitin Nabeen Ji was filed. And he was elected leader as unopposed. What is the
02:52problem of the opposition parties? The only problem is that in other parties, there is a family rule.
03:00But in Bharti Janta party, even as ordinary people can make letter to the highest office in the party.
03:11So why they are worried? I am totally, I can't understand that.
03:16So that's a good point. Very good point, Mr. Khandelwal, that you're making that any ordinary person can become the party president.
03:22And I think that has been, you know, shown in not just the appointment and the elevation of Nitin Nabeen Ji,
03:28but on multiple other appointments. Now, I'll go back to the other charge of the Congress and the opposition,
03:34which is that ultimately it's the high command who will be taking decisions. Nitin Nabeen Ji will just be a rubber stamp.
03:42This is a rubbish argument. The same argument was levelled when Shri J.P. Nadeen Ji was made the,
03:48was elected the president of BJP. And we have seen how J.P. Nadeen Ji has led the BJP to its next level.
04:01And same thing is expected from Shri J.Nateen Nabeen Ji. So, labelling that is a rubber stamp is
04:08merely a false allegation of the disgruntled opposition elements.
04:16Fair point. We're going to try and get in somebody from the opposition as well. But thank you,
04:19Mr. Khandelwal, for taking the time out and joining us.
04:21And we're going to try and get in somebody from the responsibility of the President's
