European governments should not retaliate against any measures taken by the United States in their dispute over Greenland, said US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos on Jan 19.

Bessent urged Europe not to doubt the US administration's intentions to buy Greenland for its national security in the Arctic.
