00:00I like a certain bar of soap.
00:02You travel with your own soap?
00:04Well, you never know, because certain bars of soap can really drive me.
00:07That's quite specific. I like it, though.
00:09I don't know. I don't know that I have something like that.
00:11Did you want to name the brand?
00:12No, no.
00:13No, I'll tell you afterwards.
00:15I'll tell you afterwards.
00:16I am curious.
00:20What does everyone do to, like, be on, stay awake, be energized when you're, like...
00:27Drink.
00:27You kind of set us up for that. What did you think it was going to be?
00:33Candy?
00:34I like night shoes. Most people hate night shoes.
00:36But to me, it feels like... I know, believe me.
00:38Because you're young.
00:39Well, not that young. Listen, thanks, man. I'll take it. You heard it.
00:43You got to see the sunrise, though. That's nice.
00:44That's true.
00:45You have no kids. That's why you think like that.
00:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:48You have kids like night shoes.
00:50That's what it is.
00:51No, I feel like it's like summer camp. It's like fun.
00:53Like, everyone's a part of something.
00:55It's like when, like...
00:55I never went to summer camp.
00:56Everyone is kind of...
00:57We're all struggling together.
00:57Everyone's miserable. It's like when, like, there's a snowstorm and all the power goes
01:01out and you're all in it together.
01:02And it also helps that you have no choice.
01:04That's right.
01:05So you're like...
01:05That's right.
01:06I never went to summer camp.
01:08It was like shooting a movie.
01:10Yeah.
01:10Okay, okay.
01:11That's right.
01:12Yeah, I would say, you know, anytime you're shooting a movie in a place where no one's from,
01:16you have a little bit more of connectedness.
01:19But this group definitely did actively pursue, you know, group activity, which is far more
01:26common in your 20s when you're kind of new and excited and careless.
01:30But this group really had a good vibe.
01:33And it was just a group of people that were looking to have fun while we were making something
01:38we believed in.
01:39That's what we paid for.
01:40I want to ask a follow-up and say what were the group activities, and that is not a setup.
01:44So please.
01:46You went on a hike without me?
01:49He will never live this down.
01:52So basically we were working in a place called Drama in Athens.
01:57And we were kind of like looking at things to do around there.
02:00And I read this article that was definitely burying the lead.
02:02And Mount Olympus is like a real place and you can hike it.
02:06And Leen was very late to our Mount Olympus trip.
02:09No, no, no.
02:09I had to leave one day and I had to go to Iceland and do a show.
02:12This is true.
02:13So I'm doing the film and then I had to do a show.
02:16And when I come back, you're all on, you know, this amazing hike.
02:20We waited for you for three hours.
02:23Leen!
02:24But yes, we climbed Mount Olympus and it was fabulous.
02:28And Leen did not.
02:29Yeah.
02:29I'm sorry, buddy.
02:30This is when you realize that actors have a lot of time.
02:34I was...
02:35There's so much activity going on.
02:36Yeah, okay.
02:37This is the weekend.
02:38I believe you've talked about getting the idea for this, starting from kind of going to like charity events, galas, kind of seeing this like dichotomy of what's all happening.
02:47Was that the first place the idea for this movie came?
02:49No, the theme came from different spaces where I've always wanted to throw a lot of people in volcanoes since I'm very young.
02:56Like, and then it escalates.
02:59You end up in a gala and you want to throw more people in a volcano.
03:03And then we did research with Will where we went to some galas like this and we wanted to throw more people in, you know, like it's never ending.
03:11Did you go to any galas that felt authentic?
03:14Or was it all the kind of vibe that we see here of like...
03:17No, it was worse than the vibe that you see in the film.
03:20Okay.
03:20So you toned it down for the film.
03:21Yes.
03:22We toned it down, yes.
03:23Interesting.
03:24Did you base the billionaire?
03:27He's a compilation of many billionaires.
03:29But did you take anything from any particular billionaires we might know?
03:33I guess from a few, really.
03:34I mean, the boldness, we all know where it comes from.
03:37The sporty wannabe from a nerd background.
03:42I'm sure we can identify with other people like that.
03:46But it's a mix.
03:47I mean, it's not somebody in particular, you know, I'm not trying to impersonate.
03:50But I think, you know, the audience might relate with people we see on TV.
03:57Did anyone have any questions when they got the script or when they got pitched this movie?
04:04Yeah, I think my questions were more rooted in logistics.
04:07Yeah, as opposed to, you know, story or structure.
04:09It was more about, are we going to shoot in a volcano or is this going to be green screen?
04:13And I'm realizing I had absolutely no questions, which I probably should have done.
04:18I was just like, yeah, sure, great.
04:20Obviously, duh.
04:21Well, also, like, the first volcano that we were supposed to shoot at erupted.
04:25Erupted.
04:25So we could not shoot there.
04:27And then the second volcano that we actually shot at, they evacuated the entirety of Santorini like a few months later because they thought it was going to blow.
04:36We pissed it off.
04:37So, yeah, we should have had more questions.
04:40Some locations were so, like, beautiful that it felt like, like, what more could you do on a vacation?
04:47Yeah.
04:47Just, like, sit down versus, like, standing on a marble mine looking out onto the great countryside.
04:54What was the cave called with the eyes?
04:56The devil's eyes.
04:56The devil's eyes.
04:57Or the eyes of God, depending on who you are.
04:59Or the eyes of God, exactly.
05:00And someone said that there was, like, a pre-Christian sect that were there.
05:05Yeah, pagans.
05:06Really?
05:06Yeah, real, like, a pagan Greek sect.
05:08Love it, pagan.
05:08They were, like, outcasts.
05:10Love it, pagan.
05:11Love it, pagan.
