00:00What has really gotten into the defense this postseason?

00:02Were they waiting all year to unleash it?

00:04Were they playing possum?

00:05Has it been matchup specific against two jittery quarterbacks?

00:08Like, what is it with the defense all of a sudden?

00:10Well, so the defense, I think, overall, all season,

00:12actually has been really good.

00:14Look at the number.

00:15Like, they're sixth, fifth or fourth in points allowed.

00:19Like, so that alone, that's really good.

00:22And there were times where, like, early in the year,

00:25they'd give up that opening drive touchdown all the time,

00:27and we would talk about it.

00:28But then at the end of the game, like,

00:30they allowed 14 points, or they allowed 10 points or whatever.

00:32And it was just, like, really strange that they would allow

00:35whoever it was to get the ball, move 75 yards down the field,

00:38and score.

00:39You're like, what is happening?

00:39Strange is the perfect word for it.

00:40It was very odd.

00:41But once you clean that up, okay,

00:44now you kind of go into the rest of the game.

00:46Plus, some of the games in which they got run on this year,

00:50Milton Williams wasn't there.

00:51Robert Spillane wasn't there.

00:53Maybe both weren't there.

00:54It's something that Hunter Henry talked to us about last hour, too.

00:57He's like, all the guys are there.

00:59So if you tell me Milton Williams and Christian Barmore are going to be out there for over 50% of the snaps,

01:04and that's the other thing, is you can up the snap count for those guys, your best players.

01:09We already like the secondary, right?

01:11And then the linebackers are playing pretty well.

01:13Christian Ellis, we have called his name a few times, smashing guys around.

01:17He plays physical.

01:18And the pass rush, which has been one of these, that they don't have the 14 sacks right next to their name.

01:25Talking about Landry and Chasen.

01:27But Chasen seems to, we always mention his name, I feel like, or on the call during the game.

01:31He's always getting in the backfield.

01:33Maybe it's not a sack.

01:34Maybe it is.

01:34Or maybe he's tipping a ball or whatever else it is.

01:37So he's the one making the pressure that leads to the Jones pick six.

01:40So yeah, he's been a nice find for them.

01:41So I give them full credit.

01:43I think they're putting it all together.

01:44They are healthy.

01:45They had shown, I would say, more than flashes of it all season long.

01:49And now they are living up to it.

01:51I mean, this defense has been fantastic.

01:54Defense has been incredible so far through two rounds.

01:56And I'd expect it to look pretty good against Jarrett Stidham.
