00:05CBI has questioned Vijay for over six hours in the Karoor Stampede case now.

00:11He also dismissed rumours against Vijay.
00:14TVK actually did that and also Vijay came just for the probe is what the party is saying.
00:20No summon has been issued again.
00:21We are cooperating in the investigation and we want justice to come to the point.
00:30Alright, remember Vijay is in town, is in the national capital today
00:35to answer all those questions by the CBI at the CBI headquarters.
00:39That's his car leaving the CBI headquarters now.
00:41It started at early in the morning.
00:43Some six hours have gone into that questioning
00:45and now this is, like we said, round two of that.
00:50Munish Pandey joins us for more on this.
00:53Munish, what can you tell us more about what happened inside?
01:00Well, Sonal, this was the second day when actor turned politician,
01:04TVK chief Vijay was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation
01:07in connection with the Karoor Stampede case.
01:10Today's questioning was for almost six hours
01:13and what we have been given to understand is that
01:15he was confronted with some documentary evidence
01:17which was not only the video footage of that particular event
01:21where he was seen throwing water bottle when the crowd was painting
01:26but also there were some documentary evidence and statements
01:29which were earlier recorded by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
01:33Sonal, as far as CBI's line of questioning is concerned,
01:36it was mostly focused on why there was a delay of almost seven hours
01:41by TVK chief Vijay on that day
01:42because of which the crowd swelled, you know, from 10 a.m. till 7 p.m.
01:48There was a crowd of almost 25,000 to 30,000.
01:51Also, he was questioned on the lines that there was violation from the organizers
01:56which is the TVK party leaders, there was violation by them.
02:01So, on these lines, the statements have been recorded.
02:03We have been given to understand is that so far
02:06no more summons have been sent by the CBI.
02:09He has not been asked to appear before the CBI for questioning once again.
02:13So, it appears to us that his questioning by the CBI in connection with this case is over.
02:23Apart from Vijay, there are at least five TVK functionaries
02:26who have been earlier questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
02:30There are at least six officers from Tamil Nadu Police
02:34who have been questioned by the CBI.
02:35And there are two individuals, you know, the key individuals
02:42who might be called again by the CBI for questioning in this case.
02:46And later on, the CBI will file a charge sheet
02:49that who exactly was responsible, you know, for Karur Stampede.
02:54But as far as Vijay is concerned,
02:57he has alleged that he has not violated any of the agreement or any law.
03:03It was Tamil Nadu Police's responsibility
03:06and they failed to discharge their duty.
03:09That is why this stampede happened.
