Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has departed from Chennai for Delhi to attend a second round of questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the Karur stampede tragedy. The incident, which resulted in the loss of 41 lives, has seen the CBI summoning Vijay as a witness rather than an accused. During the first round of interrogation, which lasted over seven hours, Vijay reportedly stated, 'I am not responsible for the stampede,' and explained that he left the venue early to avoid further chaos. His statements reportedly align with those provided by other senior TVK leaders, including Bussi Anand and Adhav Arjuna. While the CBI is currently matching his testimony with Tamil Nadu police records, Vijay was seen putting on a brave face at the airport, gesturing to supporters before his flight. The investigation continues as authorities seek accountability for the tragic event following the deployment of special SIT teams and the subsequent CBI takeover.

01:06And we are also getting to learn that in the 7 hours, the CBI officials had asked him questions relating to the Karoor stampede tragedy that took place during the TVK's speech that had been given.
01:18And with this, now the second round of questioning is all likely set to begin tomorrow as Vijay attends the CBI questioning at Delhi.
01:28And let's try and explain to you what exactly happened in that deposition that they had sought from Vijay.
01:36And CBI, when they grilled in the round 1, what exactly did Vijay say to them?
01:42Firstly, this claim that Vijay made was that he is not responsible for the stampede.
01:47Remember, he is being questioned not as an accused but as a witness.
01:53So he clearly, even despite that, has said that he is not responsible for the stampede.
01:58In fact, he has, we will try and explain to you how he has said that Vijay's statement actually is matching with whatever the TVK nethas have been saying.
02:07Their statements and what Vijay is stating in terms of what the sequence of events has been, what kind of permissions were sought, all these are matching.
02:15Now, third point is that Vijay said that he had to leave the venue to avoid the chaos.
02:20He was asked, why did he left the venue when he saw that something like this was happening?
02:25Well, his claim is that he left to avoid any sort of a chaos that could be created further.
02:30Now, the fourth thing is that CBI is yet to match Vijay's statement with what the police of Tamil Nadu has been saying or what they recorded or what their admissions are.

03:05Well, that's right.
03:06In fact, what we are getting to learn, in fact, we also saw the visuals there of TVK chief Vijay who has left from Chennai airport.
03:13He had departed by a chartered flight there.
03:15And when he had gone inside, you know, inside the airport as well, he had showed on camera, he had showed his fans, you know, a heart symbol there saying that, you know, he is going ahead and, you know, sending his love to his fans, to his supporters, to the party cadres there.
03:31And that's the visuals that we can see of TVK chief Vijay as well as he departs.
03:36Remember, this is the second summons that has been issued to him by the CBI in relation with the Karoor Stampede tragedy that took place.
03:43In the Karoor Stampede tragedy, earlier on as well, just last week, we saw Vijay was grilled for almost over seven hours by the CBI officials at the headquarters there in Delhi.
03:54Even as he had come out last time as well outside, after the questioning, he had, you know, shown, put on a very brave face and all smiles as he exited from, you know, the CBI headquarters there in Delhi as well.
04:07And much like that today, as he has been summoned for the second time for the questioning there today, as he departs from Chennai, you know, TVK Vijay there going ahead and showing the heart symbol for, you know, depicting his love for his fans and for the TVK cadres as well.
04:21A brave face that has been put on by Vijay as he goes ahead for the second round of questioning.
04:2641 people had unfortunately lost their lives in this Karoor Stampede tragedy and the blame has only continued on since the loss of lives then, you know, with no accountability that has been held either by the TVK, the organizers of the event or from the, you know, ruling government that the DMK or the police themselves.
04:45Because there's been, you know, special, you know, groups that have been deployed for investigation, special SIT teams that have been deployed.
04:54But post all of that, scratching all of that, the CBI had picked up the inquiry there and the questioning as well.
05:00Earlier on, TVK's other, you know, senior leaders and Vijay's close aides, including Busi Anand and, you know, Adhav Arjuna and others were also recorded their questioning and statements at the CBI offices in Delhi.
05:13And much like the other leaders as well, we are now seeing Vijay who has gone in for the second day of questioning at the CBI headquarters in Delhi.
