00:07iaitu kepaduan dan hormat menghormati

00:11serta kerjasama erat antara negeri-negeri dan kerajaan persekutuan.

00:20Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim today urged MPs

00:24to return to the original spirit of the Malaysia Agreement 1963

00:28and warned them not to stir up tension between East and West Malaysia.

00:33He said MA63 formed the basis of Malaysia's formation

00:36by uniting Malaya, Sabah and Sarawak as a single federation.

00:41In opening the 2026 session of parliament, Sultan Ibrahim told MPs

00:46to be careful not to incite tension between the regions of West and East Malaysia,

00:51saying differences should be settled in a mature manner, not through hatred or suspicion.

00:57The Agong also said the rights of the Bornean states must be respected,

01:02but that the country's shared interests must come first.

01:05He also reminded MPs that every debate and vote in the Dewan Rakyat

01:09would shape the country's future,

01:12urging them to carry out their duties with wisdom

01:14and a sense of responsibility for all citizens.
