The artist and VMA presenter tells THR on the VMAs 2023 red carpet that she brought her 19-year-old daughter to the show to celebrate the milestone.

00:00I have to say, this is the first year that all of the artists of the year that are nominated are women.
00:05How does that feel for you as an artist?
00:08I love it! When I saw the list, I was thrilled.
00:10And I brought my 19-year-old tonight, and it's like, I can't wait to sit with her and watch all these powerful women perform.
00:16Whether it's Shakira, or Carol G, or Anita, or Megan Thee Stallion, or all of these women.
00:22And the list goes on. I am a fan, and I am excited to be just watching all the creativity tonight.
00:31And presenting an award with Timbaland for Song of the Year, so I'm excited about that.
00:36Speaking of Timbaland, I wanted to ask your collaboration with Timbaland and JT.
00:40How did that come about, and how did it feel to be reunited?
00:42Okay, so Timbaland and JT and I, we are pinching ourselves, because we can't believe we have a song together.
00:49Because it felt so good. It just felt like family reunion, coming back together.
00:54And we're going to make more. We're going to make more.
00:56Very quickly, I heard there was an NSYNC reunion that may be happening tonight.
01:00Do you know anything about that?
01:02I might have seen Justin floating around the hallway of my hotel, but maybe it wasn't him.
01:07And maybe it was with some other guys, and maybe they kind of matched.
01:12Okay, well, we're playing it coy. I see, I see.
