At least six people have been killed and more than 20 injured after a fire tore through a multi-storey shopping mall in central Karachi on Saturday (Jan 18) night.

00:11The blaze broke out on the ground floor of Gul Plaza on M.A. Jinnah Road and quickly
00:16spread upwards, engulfing several floors of the building.

00:53Police confirmed six bodies were brought to Karachi's civil hospital and 11 people were

01:02Local media reported that most shop owners had already left when the fire broke out,
01:07but the blaze spread rapidly.
01:09The cause of the fire is not yet known.
