00:00And Freddie, it's really interesting because the German leader is urging India to reduce its reliance on Russian energy and arms.
00:09Obviously, we've seen the U.S. do this in a very different way.
00:13Is there something the Modi government, you think, is actually considering seriously?
00:18Because Vladimir Putin actually visited him in December, which was just basically last month.
00:25Well, India is a huge country and a very powerful economy, but it's resource poor.
00:31And so the Russian oil has been very important for them.
00:35And as the Ukraine war is going on, India has been a country that has sort of which Russian gas and oil has gone through to be sold to other parts of the world.
00:43And Trump's very angry about this, has been very angry about this.
00:46And there were real tensions between America and India over that issue.
00:51I think Germany and the EU have taken a much more softly, softly approach.
00:57And they've said to the Indians, look, we are concerned about this, but we're not going to bully you because that's not what we do.
01:03And I think that is that has proved to be more.
01:07I think we're seeing with this possibility of this deal that has proved to be more successful because Modi doesn't take very kindly to being bullied.
01:15I think another very interesting aspect of this on the European side is farming.
01:18Europe's about to sign this Mercosur deal, well, has signed this Mercosur deal with South American countries, which has really angered a lot of EU farmers who are already very angry and feel mistreated by their governments.
01:32If you throw in an India deal on agriculture into that equation, you're going to get European farmers who have, you know, look at the farmer protests in Paris over the last few years.
01:44They are seriously furious because they feel they are being throttled by a European Union that doesn't take them seriously.
01:51You throw India or Indian agricultural exports into that and you can see some real rage in Europe.
