Three people have experienced breathing difficulties after a cylinder containing ammonia gas sprung a leak.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the incident happened near the Seremban toll plaza along the North South Expressway at around 2.40pm on Thursday (Jan 15).

00:12A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the incident occurred at about 2.40 p.m. and
00:17involved a lorry transporting 15 ammonia cylinders.
00:21The lorry driver, a female Toll Plaza employee and a security guard, experienced shortness
00:26of breath after one of the cylinders began leaking.
00:30A contractor was later called in to transfer the gas from the damaged cylinder into another
00:34container.
00:36Firefighters also covered the leaking cylinder with absorbent materials to slow the release
00:40while mitigation works were carried out.
