00:09We're keeping you informed with the nation's biggest developments tonight and topping our stories for this hour.

00:15The deathfall from the Binalo Sanitary Landfill Trash Slide has risen to 22 with 14 others still missing,

00:23as rescuers continue to race against time amid difficult conditions.

00:27Search and retrieval efforts are in full swing, with the Philippine Air Force and other agencies working hand-in-hand,

00:34leaving no stone unturned to recover and identify all victims.

00:39At least 18 injured individuals are receiving medical care,

00:43as authorities stress that safety comes first to avoid adding fuel to the fire during operations.

00:49Meanwhile, the DENR has ordered a closure of the landfill and vowed to bring those at fault to book following thorough investigation.

00:57into the incident.

00:58With Cebu City placed under a state of calamity, local officials are pulling out all the stops.

01:05The Department of Social Welfare and Development has placed itself on blue alert,

01:10as tropical cyclone ADA enters the Philippine area of responsibility,

01:15signaling that preparations are in full gear.

01:18With no time to lose, the agency has pre-positioned more than 2.7 million family food packs nationwide,

01:24and placed disaster response assets on standby to ensure aid can roll out at a moment's notice.

01:31ASPAG ASA reports that ADA may strengthen or has trended into a tropical storm while closing in several areas,

01:39coordinating with local governments and port authorities is being tightened to leave nothing to chance.

01:45Several provinces have raised tropical cyclone wind signal No. 1,

01:49prompting local officials to activate emergency protocols and impose safety measures as a precaution.

01:56Authorities continue to urge the public to stay on their toes and heed official advisories as the weather disturbance unfolds.

02:33Well, that beacon for immigrants to come to America has been flickering,

02:37especially over the last two decades,

02:40with stricter and more tightening rules to enter the United States

02:44and intensified search and deportation on those overstaying their non-immigrant visas

02:50or under undocumented illegal alien status.

02:54But under the Trump 1.0 and 2.0 presidencies,

02:58that policy to go after immigrants, both legal and illegal,

03:03has ramped up several notches.

03:05The latest of which is a freeze order on immigrant visa applications

03:09on 75 carefully selected countries

03:12at high risk for social welfare and public benefits usage and abuse.

03:17Most of the countries in this rogues list come from the African, Asian, and South American continents,

03:23such as Egypt, Afghanistan, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Uruguay, Russia, and among others.

03:32There are also four countries in the ASEAN bloc which unfortunately wound up in the list

03:38like Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand.

03:41This visa-free order does not cover current or valid visas

03:45and non-immigrant visas like those issued to tourists.
