00:39creatives create from Africa you know Afrima is a reflection of who we are as

00:44Africans talents tenacity of purpose never say die but most importantly

00:54expression of of what God has given to us eyes in it I think what Afrima stands

01:03for is a unity of purpose and ideas it's the maturity edition for Afrima from

01:10north to south west to east we are here to celebrate African music oh it's a

01:18celebration of African culture music entertainment and honestly I think it's

01:24huge how much it's grown people like me can embrace it and enjoy it and it's

01:28become global now so it's really really exciting it's about music and it's about

01:32Africa and it's about all talented around Africa being the first Madagascar woman

01:38here in Africa it's a is already a win it's already a victory for me so I'm so

01:44happy and I'm here to represent my country also Madagascar here I am I'm here and

01:49it's such a privilege to meet lots of artists from around Africa so it's such a

01:57privilege and honor I'm like part of the Afrima family to be honest more than like

02:03one decade and some so I started I came I started to come to Lagos at the Afrima in

02:092014 so I won awards in here I saw the event I saw the the the award grow and now I'm looking at

02:19maybe my sister from Morocco jail and to win the North African category so always a

02:24pleasure to be here and I really am blessed because I'm part of this and I saw it's

02:29like a little song that grows and I really enjoyed this this this year's Afrima award long life Afrima

02:592026 where African music culture and excellence took center stage from powerful performances to

03:12inspiring conversations with Africa's finest creatives and tonight reminds us that African

03:19music isn't just being heard it is being celebrated globally I am Timmy tire or Luma fair for Guardian TV
