00:00Oh, look at that!
00:02Absolutely phenomenal!
00:04Rooney Alcorn!
00:06Welcome to Match of the Dead.
00:30Evening, it may be Christmas week, but the Premier League doesn't stop.
00:52Two games for you on tonight's Match of the Day, as well as all the goals from the festive period.
00:57Just like myself, Joe Hart and Danny Murphy, I have no idea what day it is.
01:01We begin with Sunderland against Leeds.
01:03The first time these two have met in the Premier League since Boxing Day 2002.
01:08Steve Bowers at the Stadium of Light.
01:14The managers that day, 23 years ago, were Howard Wilkinson and Terry Venables.
01:19Both clubs now are more than on course to ensure this fixture happens again next season.
01:24Sunderland have only one of two unbeaten home records left intact.
01:29They play their second match without their six players away at AFCON.
01:33And they've suffered a further blow today with an injury to Dan Ballard.
01:37So there's a Premier League debut for Dennis Serkin in a reshuffled back four.
01:42Brian Broby has two goals in his last three games here.
01:46Leeds have just four points away from Mellon Road so far.
01:50But their switch to a back three has changed their fortunes dramatically.
01:54They're unchanged from the side that beat Crystal Palace 4-1.
01:58Dominic Calvin Lewin aims to score for the sixth successive Premier League match.
02:07Prior to kickoff, Captain Granit Xhaka carries a Sunderland shirt
02:11in honour of club director Patrick Truer, who passed away on Christmas Day.
02:16and there will be a moment of remembrance prior to kickoff.
02:21Boulding under good pressure.
02:44Boulding under good pressure.
02:50good pressure, and there he goes to press, so too did Brian Brobick, and Roden has stayed
03:06down after that challenge from the Dutchman, more the way his right ankle went over, and
03:16he felt it straight away, which is right after he's played the ball there, goodness,
03:34and Ampadu, initially, with the poor touch, still recovered, the foul by Le Fay,
03:43Sunderland's turn to have everybody back, floated in by Stack, Odorate beaten in the air,
03:54still haven't got this clear, that was Ampadu in towards Calvert-Lewin, Okafor, reflected on the way through,
04:00and that was an uncomfortable one for Sunderland, this ball was bouncing and bobbling around,
04:10and eventually, Okafor's effort, hit Mukuehli,
04:15and Dingre, with the closing down, and Roden's in wall pain, and I think it's the same right ankle,
04:35from the previous challenge earlier on, and the look of concern on Daniel Farker's face says it all,
04:41it is
04:43he's rolled it again
04:48Madinga
04:56Salikin
05:02Roden in the way
05:11as he pushed off then he winced with pain
05:17Mukiali's throw
05:23Calvert-Lewin jumping
05:26Xhaka
05:28lovely ball
05:29Odingra
05:30liftoff for the Stadium of Light
05:36Simona Odingra's first Sunderland goal
05:41and the team with the unbeaten home league record
05:49are in front
05:51and no surprise
05:54that this was all created by Granit Xhaka
05:58awareness
05:59pace of pass
06:01and then Odingra opened his body
06:03and did the rest
06:05first touch controlled it
06:07and a beautiful
06:09second one finished it
06:12and the man overlooked by the Ivory Coast which is why he's still here in the Premier League
06:18has his moment
06:20and his team have the lead 29 minutes in
06:26and Joe Roden's day understandably is done
06:34to lead six defeats in their eight away games
06:43one down in this one
06:46deal
06:49Bion
06:50Calvert-Lewins touches an excellent one
06:54Aronson
06:55what a save
06:56I think it was the defender behind the goalkeeper
07:02that cleared that
07:02and it stopped a certain goal
07:06but let's have a look at this
07:08because
07:08the American must have thought he'd equalised
07:12Trey Hume it is who gets back
07:15brilliant defender
07:17to prevent it being 1-1
07:19and he couldn't believe it
07:22Alderete
07:24comfortable for Bion
07:29first of a touch on Lafayne
07:33in the ring trying to set Broby away
07:35goalkeeper hesitated
07:36Broby's effort cleared in the end by Bion
07:41the big question is whether there was any connection
07:45between Pires the goalkeeper
07:47and Broby the striker
07:48it looked minimal on first viewing
07:52certainly the interpretation of
07:55Tony Harrington the referee
07:56Lafayne
08:02and here goes Odinger
08:04and look at the room
08:05he's got to run into
08:06Broby's pulling away
08:09and he knows he should have done better
08:14Leeds were wide open here
08:18oh
08:20that's a let off for Leeds
08:22Brian Broby with two goals in his last three games at the Stadium of Light
08:26off the crossbar when it should have been under it
08:30and this has been checked and cleared
08:33and you would say correctly so
08:36and to do for Leeds
08:44so compressing
08:53Leeds did that well though
09:00stack super ball from him and to Aronson
09:05numbers forward here Leeds
09:09Aronson
09:09Calvert-Lewin
09:10it's taken them less than two minutes
09:15of the second half
09:18and who else
09:19but Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Leeds
09:22he scores
09:24for the sixth league game in a row
09:27and the first player
09:28for Leeds United to do that in the top flight
09:31for 65 years
09:33and it all came
09:35from that move from the back
09:37and watch the movement of Calvert-Lewin here
09:41in between the two defenders
09:42beautifully found by Aronson
09:45it's a fabulous team goal
09:47and Calvert-Lewin's incredible streak
09:51in front of goal continues
09:52six in a row
09:54seven goals in that time
09:57and he's got Leeds back
09:59to 1-1
10:01just the second touch of Dominic Calvert-Lewin
10:05in the Sunderland penalty area
10:07don't worry about that
10:08that's where it's ended up
10:11Okafor
10:13flicked on by Aronson
10:16over Calvert-Lewin
10:17in came Bogle
10:18it wouldn't quite fall for him
10:22he almost chested that goal with Jadon Bogle
10:25who's never ever scored a Premier League goal
10:28look at this
10:30it wouldn't quite sit down
10:31and he couldn't believe that
10:34that wasn't on target
10:3510 leads
10:40make their domination count here
10:42with another goal
10:43here goes Goodman
10:45Cern
10:45and Perdue
10:48his effort
10:52blocked by Serkin
10:53and it is a point apiece
10:58Sunderland's unbeaten home record
11:00is still intact
11:01Leeds extend their unbeaten run
11:03to five games
11:05Sunderland won
11:06Leeds won
11:07I'm a bit in between
11:11if I'm honest
11:12because
11:12we were by far
11:13the better team
11:14have dominated
11:16each of these statistics
11:16and should have
11:17probably won this
11:18with game
11:19missing a bit
11:20the clinical edge
11:21in their box
11:23and for that
11:24yes definitely
11:25good point
11:25can't complain too much
11:27again great mentality
11:28to come back
11:29but
11:29could have been
11:31could have been three
11:31and for that
11:32I'm not dancing
11:33on the table tonight
11:34yeah tough game
11:35as expected
11:37because we knew before
11:37that Leeds were a good side
11:40in good form
11:41and they are still in good form
11:42so they showed
11:43great quality
11:44on the pitch today
11:45we started well I think
11:46we scored
11:47even at the end of the first half
11:49we had the opportunity
11:49to score the second goal
11:50I think
11:51it was a key moment
11:52because after that
11:53I think
11:54when they changed
11:55their structure
11:55we struggled a bit
11:56to find our references
11:57for the build up
11:58for the high press
11:59so they were dominant
12:00at that time
12:00we found the energy
12:02to switch the momentum
12:03sometimes
12:03even at the end of the game
12:04we had the opportunity
12:05to
12:06to be a bit more dangerous
12:08but I think
12:08it's a fair result
12:09at the end
12:10what about the goal
12:10what a team goal
12:11every single outfield player
12:13touched the ball
12:13in fact no
12:14every single player
12:15touched the ball
12:15because it started
12:16with a goalkeeper
12:16yeah I think we've shown
12:18that we can mix our game up
12:19over the past few weeks
12:21you know
12:21we can be direct
12:22we can play football
12:23which is good versatility
12:25within the team
12:26so a good goal scored
12:28six in a row
12:30you've scored in now
12:31the last Leeds player
12:31to do that
12:32in the top flight
12:3265 years ago
12:33I mean
12:34how good a feeling
12:35is that
12:35yeah it's always
12:36a good feeling
12:37to just be scoring
12:38regularly
12:38you know
12:39I'm in a good moment
12:41at the minute
12:41you know
12:41my timing's good
12:42and I think
12:44as a team
12:45we're gelling a bit more
12:46and things are going
12:46well for us
12:47both teams scored good goals
12:50let's start with the Sunderland one
12:51which had an element
12:53of Joe Rodon's injury
12:54playing into it
12:55though
12:56yeah he certainly
12:56he took a few good hits
12:58in the first kind of
12:5820 or so minutes
13:00but Joe Rodon
13:01he's such a warrior
13:03you know
13:03he's not missed a game
13:04for two years
13:05he's got a great mentality
13:06exactly what you want
13:07from your centre half
13:08you want him playing
13:09no matter what goes on
13:11in the game
13:11and that was really tested
13:12for him in the first half
13:14you see
13:14on the front foot
13:16Sunderland looking to set the tone
13:17making the stadium the light
13:18an awful place to play
13:19unfortunate
13:20but he really gets hit hard there
13:22Broby doing his job
13:23a dinger again
13:24closing down
13:25wins the ball
13:26but look
13:27Joe Rodon
13:27takes a really good hit there
13:29and you can see
13:29he's in a real lot of pain
13:31on the same ankle
13:31to get that hit twice in a row
13:33that's when you think to yourself
13:34you come off
13:35and you're chatting with your physios
13:36can you play on
13:37yes I can
13:38just give me a minute
13:39this is two minutes
13:40after coming back on
13:41doesn't really challenge
13:42for the first one
13:43but this from
13:44Granit Xhaka
13:45beautiful pass
13:46into a dinger
13:46and look
13:48of course
13:48Joe Rodon
13:49doesn't quite get up
13:50with his team
13:50he's the one
13:51playing him onside
13:52beautiful touch
13:53and he can't quite get out to him
13:55if he's fully fit
13:56does he get to that
13:56I don't know
13:57but look
13:57I've got to celebrate this goal
13:59this is an absolute bit of genius
14:01Xhaka
14:02beautiful reverse pass
14:03disguise on it
14:04this touch
14:05a dinger
14:05sets it
14:06makes it unsavable
14:07outside the post
14:09curling back in
14:10brilliant goal
14:11and that was the tempo
14:12that Sunderland set
14:13in the first half
14:14I think it's worth saying
14:15as well with Rodon
14:16as a manager
14:18and as a teammate of his
14:20you want that attitude
14:21somebody's desperate
14:23to stay on the pitch
14:24to try and play through
14:26because hindsight
14:26is a wonderful thing
14:28isn't it
14:28oh well maybe
14:29but you are right
14:30I suppose everybody
14:31wants somebody
14:32to try and play through it
14:33they'll get more benefits
14:34from that
14:35throughout a season
14:36than they will get hurt
14:37yeah if you've got
14:38a group of players
14:40with that same mindset
14:40you've got a good group
14:41the other thing
14:43that that injury
14:43did was
14:44it deprived Leeds
14:45of one third
14:46of their back three
14:47which has been
14:48really successful
14:49for them
14:49over recent weeks
14:51Daniel Farker
14:52deserves great credit
14:53for the decision
14:54he made
14:55he changed the system
14:56when the substitute
14:57happened
14:57from a 3-5-2
14:58to a 4-3-3
14:59and it completely
15:01changed the momentum
15:01of the game
15:02in Leeds' favour
15:03it's a system
15:04that didn't work
15:05initially
15:05at some stages
15:06early in the season
15:07and he's had a lot
15:08of credit
15:08for getting a strike
15:09partner
15:09like the Calvert-Lewin
15:10but this was
15:11exactly the right
15:11time to do it
15:12against the way
15:13Sunderland set up
15:14they kind of matched up
15:15here you can see
15:16the run from Arison
15:17he joins Calvert-Lewin
15:18he's playing to the right
15:19of him
15:19Okafor to the left
15:21and Sunderland
15:22back four
15:22were now occupied
15:23completely occupied
15:25and they should have
15:25equalised with this chance
15:26and then the attacks
15:28just came
15:28time and time again
15:30Okafor actually
15:31seemed to enjoy it
15:32more on the left
15:33he got more of the ball
15:34he could see the pictures
15:34ahead of him
15:35he's running at people
15:36which he's good at
15:37he had runners off him
15:38and all of a sudden
15:39Leeds were in control
15:40they looked like
15:41their home team
15:41I know Sunderland
15:42have got players
15:42missing etc
15:43it's unfair enough
15:44but there's the system
15:45change
15:46there's the 4-3-3
15:47and as you can see
15:48the front three there
15:49occupying that back four
15:50stopping Sunderland's
15:51full backs
15:52having plenty of the ball
15:53which they did before this
15:54I think Arison
15:55Arison
15:55if he goes a bit ahead
15:57of the full back
15:58he gets himself in
15:59Arison again
16:00in that inside right position
16:01in between the centre
16:02half and full back
16:03chance at the back post
16:05for Okafor
16:06if he anticipates
16:07the cross
16:08second half
16:09more of the same
16:10wonderful goal
16:11brilliant move
16:12good passing
16:13crisp
16:14stack as well
16:15what performance
16:16he had as well
16:17playing in the middle
16:17of the pitch
16:18and we talked about
16:20final product
16:21or end product
16:22final pass
16:23I should say
16:23that was a brilliant ball
16:25and a great finish
16:25from Calvert-Loon
16:26the Cavaloon
16:27was on fire
16:27at the moment
16:28and then just after that
16:30they had the best chance
16:30to go and win it
16:31when the ball comes in
16:34you can see
16:34the full backs
16:35are occupied
16:36by the wide men
16:37the two forwards
16:37either side
16:38so Bogle gets in
16:39tries to stomach it
16:40into the back
16:41of the net
16:41but credit to that man
16:43because he's
16:43he's had
16:44his doubters
16:45in the past
16:45and even been talked
16:46about lack of
16:47tactical awareness
16:48today
16:49bang on
16:50and these numbers
16:50represent the change
16:52that's a real dominance
16:53against a team
16:54who are good at home
16:55just the thing
16:56on that front three
16:57is the key to it then
16:58that even if one of them
16:59is wide
16:59the other one
17:00is close to Calvert-Lewis
17:01yeah they both
17:02played close to him
17:03sometimes I think
17:04when you play a 4-3-3
17:05if they stay really wide
17:06the forward gets isolated
17:07but what it did
17:08with the full backs
17:09of Sunderland
17:10coming in
17:10with the danger
17:11it also allowed
17:12the full backs
17:13to bomb on
17:14it was
17:14it was perfect timing
17:16to do it
17:16and a brave decision
17:17from it
17:18Daniel Farker says
17:19he isn't going to be
17:20dancing on the tables
17:21although I think
17:21if my team had scored
17:22a goal like this
17:23I'd be on that table
17:24and dancing
17:25you've never danced
17:26on a table
17:26it was a long time ago
17:28a long time ago
17:30Joe
17:30all serious though
17:31this is a brilliant goal
17:33and this is a team
17:34that's absolutely
17:35brimming with confidence
17:36good turnover
17:381-0 down
17:39no panic
17:40looking to build
17:41into the second half
17:42obviously had that
17:43tactical rejig
17:44that Danny's touched on
17:45but at no point
17:46are they forcing anything
17:47making angles
17:48for the goalkeeper
17:49they all look comfortable
17:50in possession
17:50pass here
17:52into Okafort
17:53little bit of spice
17:54on it
17:54and then stack
17:55this ball here
17:56brilliant
17:56that's every player
17:57apart from Calvert-Lewis
17:58touched it now
17:59Aronson attacking
18:01Calvert-Lewis
18:01getting into the area
18:02where he's been so good
18:03this season
18:04finishes it with a plum
18:05absolutely brilliant
18:07team goal
18:07and that's a team
18:08brimming with confidence
18:09and we will all have seen
18:11I am sure
18:12the graphic
18:14that has done
18:14the rounds
18:15this week
18:15of Dominic Calvert-Lewis
18:17this season
18:17only being able to score
18:18in a straight line
18:19that's where all his goals
18:21have come from
18:22the one today
18:23is that one
18:23that's just on the right
18:25of that straight line
18:26but we also had a look
18:28at where he scored
18:29his goals
18:29in his most successful
18:30season at Everton
18:31and whilst it isn't
18:32a straight line
18:33Danny
18:33it is still
18:35with the exception
18:36of two
18:36two and a half
18:37all within the frame
18:39of the goal
18:40yeah it's intelligent runs
18:41knowing where to be
18:42anticipating the crosses
18:43but simple messaging
18:46isn't it
18:46for any young
18:47forwards out there
18:48stay central
18:49don't go wandering
18:51when you're not in the game
18:52stay in that position
18:53and also the other thing
18:54I think is important
18:55as well is
18:55that the team you're
18:56playing in knows
18:57your strengths
18:58where you want the ball
18:59the ball goes in early
19:00from Leeds doesn't it
19:01yeah exactly
19:02and I think it's a dream
19:03for a wide man
19:04you know you can just
19:04beat your man
19:05and get it in
19:05you've got someone
19:06who's looking dominant
19:07looking dangerous
19:08in the middle
19:08and that threat's
19:09always there
19:09just one
19:10because we've done
19:10a lot of praising
19:11of Leeds here
19:13maybe understandably so
19:14just one on Sunderland
19:15because they are
19:16depleted by AFCON
19:17they've got six players
19:19away
19:19they didn't have
19:20Ballard today either
19:21who's been integral
19:22this season for them
19:23and they've still
19:24come away with a point
19:25they are going to have
19:26to dig in at times
19:27through this period
19:28aren't they
19:28they're still unbeaten
19:29at home
19:29they can be very proud
19:30of that performance
19:31they had players today
19:31who haven't played
19:32many minutes
19:33Odinger was a threat
19:34the whole way through
19:35they've got a really
19:37good squad
19:37they've got players
19:39who are match winners
19:40Xhaka's still leading
19:41the team
19:42they had moments
19:43in the game
19:44but what they've done
19:45this season
19:46and what they continue
19:47to do is a breath
19:48of fresh air really
19:48right Spurs have only won
19:51once in the league
19:52in the last two months
19:53they travelled to a
19:53Crystal Palace side
19:54who did the double
19:55over them last season
19:56Jonathan Pearce
19:57was there
19:57those two Palace wins last season
20:01those two Palace wins last season
20:01were as many as they'd achieved
20:03in the previous 22 meetings
20:05both of these needing to end
20:06their end of year slumps
20:08Palace thumped at Leeds
20:09and then dumped out of the league
20:10up on penalties at Arsenal
20:11Spurs with two league defeats in a row
20:13and just 36 points in 2025
20:16Oliver Glasner makes four changes
20:19to the side beaten at Arsenal
20:20Dean Henderson of course returns in goal
20:23maintaining his league
20:24ever-present record
20:25Kline replaces Kampo
20:26at right wing back
20:27Liveni is preferred to Nketiah
20:29and with Richards injured
20:30Hughes comes into midfield
20:32and Lerma slots back into defence
20:34Tottenham are forced
20:35into their two changes
20:37with Romero and Simmonds
20:38both sent off against Liverpool
20:40Danso and Richarlison
20:41start for them
20:42Porro
20:49can get it over the top
20:51for the run of Bergbauer
20:53springs back to Kudus
20:54Bergbauer
20:55Kudus with the run
20:58Porro
21:02good work by Tottenham
21:04Richarlison
21:04against Toronto play
21:06Tottenham lead
21:06with a very good goal
21:07they've hardly had a kick
21:10of the ball
21:11and with 16 minutes gone
21:13Richarlison puts them ahead
21:15just see if Bergbauer
21:19is on or offside there
21:21I think he looks offside
21:22in the build-up
21:23it's going to be checked
21:24comes out to him from Kudus
21:26gives him the return
21:28Porro comes into the line
21:31it's a lovely cross in
21:32Richarlison might be offside
21:34well taken goal
21:38well taken goal
21:38naked eye shows to me
21:39that Bergbauer is offside
21:41it is being checked now
21:43goal is rolled out
21:49there's a lovely move by Tottenham
21:52but it won't count
21:53and it would have been harsh
21:55on Crystal Palace
21:56Mateta
22:01real handful for Dancer
22:04and he's got away from him
22:05and into Devaney
22:06there's a little spin
22:08he was hoping for contact
22:09from a Spurs player
22:10Lerma to Wharton
22:11cool under pressure
22:12Mateta
22:13goes for goal
22:14through the legs of the defender
22:15and why
22:16what a clever effort this
22:18really is up for it today
22:21Jean-Philippe Mateta
22:22Thomas Frank
22:24already under pressure
22:26three wins
22:28in 12 in all
22:29Crystal Palace
22:32drummers
22:33behind the goal
22:34to the left hand side
22:35beating out a frantic
22:37to two at the moment
22:38Colonel Mouane
22:41is holding his face
22:42Spencer's got involved
22:43Hughes wanted to get
22:45on with the game
22:46I think there was
22:49an accidental
22:50bash in the face there
22:51for Colin Mouane
22:53as he falls
22:54he just gets
22:55knocked in the face
22:57with the side of
22:58Will Hughes' knee
22:59as he comes in
23:00to try and get the ball
23:00back off him
23:01a bit of something
23:02and nothing
23:03Jeremy Pinot
23:05now it goes to Wharton
23:08what's dangerous
23:10he's headed back across
23:12goal
23:12and it's a chance
23:14for Mateta
23:15really
23:15that he should have
23:16buried
23:16a lovely header
23:18back across goal
23:19by Maxence Lacroix
23:20looks for Mateta
23:22couldn't get over
23:23the ball
23:24and this is what
23:26Crystal Palace fans
23:27will tell you
23:27they've been creating
23:29chances for weeks
23:30and weeks
23:31but they haven't been
23:31taking them
23:32Bergfell
23:34Colin Mouane
23:35getting away from
23:36Lerma
23:37Gay's there with him
23:38good intervention
23:39Gay
23:39Tottenham appealing
23:41that he hit his hand
23:42big claim
23:43we are having a look
23:45the ball did strike
23:49an arm
23:49but it's a supporting
23:50arm supporting
23:51his body
23:51as it fell
23:52according to the
23:53VAR
23:54James Bell
23:55correct decision
23:56I think most people
23:57would agree
23:57Porra with the
23:59corner kick
24:00I think it's
24:00Tottenham's first
24:01of the game
24:01swing into the
24:03far post
24:04it's dangerous
24:05needs to be
24:05clear
24:05with Charlotten
24:06and nodded in
24:07by Gray
24:08and this time
24:10surely the goal
24:11will count
24:11and Tottenham
24:12will lead
24:12Crystal Palace
24:14undone
24:15at a set piece
24:16where their
24:17defending
24:18was scruffy
24:19at best
24:19and for Archie
24:21Gray
24:22it's a first
24:22Tottenham goal
24:23lots of defenders
24:26back in there
24:26but they can't
24:27deal with it
24:28the header down
24:29wasn't dealt with
24:29Richarlison nodded it
24:30on
24:31and Gray
24:31with a simple
24:32glance
24:33the three
24:35Palace defenders
24:36there that could
24:36have dealt
24:36with that
24:37far better
24:37than they did
24:38and Gray
24:40flicked it on
24:41and Tottenham
24:42Hotspur lead
24:42but Crystal Palace
24:44will feel hard
24:45done by
24:45they've bossed
24:45the game
24:46Tottenham hold on
24:49and get the win
24:49here
24:49it will buck
24:50a trend
24:50really
24:51because
24:51when they faced
24:53opponents
24:53start of the day
24:54above them
24:54in the table
24:55they've only won
24:55one of their
24:55last 19
24:57London derbies
24:57away from home
24:58Crystal Palace
25:00were above them
25:00in the table
25:01this morning
25:01Pina
25:04takes it back
25:06from Mitchell
25:06spins across
25:07it
25:07it's a good
25:08set up
25:08Diveni
25:09over the bar
25:10big chance
25:11really big chance
25:13for the youngster
25:14lovely work
25:18down the left
25:19hand side
25:19Pina
25:19and Mitchell
25:20the cross
25:21was a beaut
25:21spun in
25:22clever headed
25:23down by
25:23Clyde
25:24Diveni
25:24first touch
25:26took it
25:26away from
25:27goal
25:27so he had
25:27to spin
25:28and then
25:29over it
25:29went
25:30one or two
25:34Tottenham players
25:35are looking
25:35tired
25:36Pina
25:38couldn't get
25:39there
25:40Lama
25:47will take
25:47it
25:47long
25:48up in the
25:56air
25:56by
25:56Spence
25:57Mateta
25:57oh
25:58she pushed
25:58there
25:59by
25:59Richarlison
25:59was there
26:01enough
26:01contact
26:02to worry
26:02the referee
26:02or the
26:03VAR
26:03bit of
26:08pushing
26:08and shoving
26:09going in
26:09there
26:09Mateta
26:10and Spence
26:10in comes
26:14the resulting
26:14corner
26:15Lama's
26:16headed back
26:17across
26:17good touch
26:18from Pina
26:19sensible
26:20ball wide
26:20Wharton
26:21head across
26:22in second
26:23time of
26:23asking
26:24it's come
26:25up to
26:25Lama
26:25clever
26:26head
26:26and just
26:26one
26:27big chance
26:29fell
26:29to
26:30Maxence
26:30Lacroix
26:31it's been
26:33another game
26:34in which
26:34Crystal Palace
26:35have created
26:36opportunities
26:36and haven't
26:38taken them
26:39there he's
26:46downward
26:46header
26:46only carries
26:47to Gray
26:48on the run
26:48now
26:49Takuda
26:50spins
26:50across
26:51in far
26:51post
26:52Richarlison
26:53is there
26:53and Tottenham
26:54lead
26:542-0
26:55in terms
26:57of possession
26:58they've been
26:59second best
27:00in terms
27:01of chances
27:01created
27:02they've been
27:03second best
27:04but they
27:04lead 2-0
27:05and it's
27:06all about
27:06goals
27:07Richarlison
27:11ooh
27:12is he on
27:12or is he
27:13off
27:13this one
27:17is being
27:17checked
27:18for offside
27:18from there
27:19he looks
27:19offside
27:20to me
27:20is Richarlison
27:22going to have
27:23a second
27:23one ruled
27:23out
27:24will it
27:25be a
27:26lifeline
27:26for Crystal
27:27Palace
27:28Richarlison
27:35offside
27:36when he's
27:36scored
27:36again
27:37it will
27:38not count
27:39I can't
27:40believe
27:40his fortune
27:41they didn't
27:43time it
27:43with perfection
27:44as they
27:44should have
27:45done
27:45go go go go
27:51go go go go
27:52Wharton
27:53Wharton picks it
27:53up again
27:54Ucce
27:55they've knocked
27:56the course
27:56the corner
27:57Tottenham this
27:59season have been
28:00cursed by
28:01conceding goals
28:02at set pieces
28:03and by
28:04conceding late
28:05goals
28:05Wharton in it
28:09comes
28:09over by
28:10Gahing and it
28:11would have
28:11counted
28:11that's a
28:13massive chance
28:14goodness me
28:16they've had
28:16some
28:16amounts to
28:19be a free
28:19header really
28:20from there
28:20just checked
28:23his watch
28:23it's a victory
28:24that would take
28:25Spurs up
28:25to 11th
28:27going to be on
28:2825 points
28:30which would be
28:31a couple of
28:32points
28:32above
28:33the number
28:34they had
28:35after 18
28:35games last
28:36season
28:36here comes
28:38Tottenham
28:39Odderberg
28:40Michalasson
28:40back to him
28:41can he wrap
28:41it up here
28:42Odderberg
28:42with a shot
28:43off the post
28:44and that
28:44would have
28:44done it
28:45good crisp
28:47drive
28:47because it
28:47was at an
28:48awkward height
28:48for him
28:48and off
28:49the woodwork
28:50Tottenham
28:51close to
28:52a second
28:52Odderberg
29:02gets beyond
29:04S8
29:04takes the
29:05return
29:05low crossing
29:07fishes all the
29:08way through
29:08Porro in
29:09space
29:09back it
29:11comes
29:11Bentancur
29:12good save
29:13and away
29:15by Lerma
29:15too much
29:18space here
29:19for Porro
29:19really
29:20from a
29:20Palace
29:20point of
29:21view
29:21and Henderson
29:23that's a
29:23fine save
29:24because I
29:24think he
29:24saw it
29:24late
29:25from behind
29:25players
29:26and Tottenham
29:28win it
29:28a welcome
29:30victory for
29:31Thomas Frank
29:31but for
29:32Crystal Palace
29:33now
29:33it's their
29:34worst run
29:35of league
29:36defeats
29:36in a row
29:37under Oliver
29:38Glasner
29:38and their
29:40season
29:40is beginning
29:41to look in
29:42danger
29:42of being
29:44undermined
29:45as Tottenham
29:46win this
29:47by a goal
29:48to nil
29:48first ever
29:50senior goal
29:51how does
29:51that feel
29:51yeah
29:52it's
29:52incredible
29:53after
29:54I can't
29:54remember
29:55how many
29:55appearances
29:56I've won
29:57now
29:57but after
29:57112
29:58I'll give
30:00myself
30:01a little
30:01bit of
30:01leeway
30:03because I've
30:03been playing
30:03centre-back
30:03and left-back
30:04but to be fair
30:04I should have
30:05got a goal
30:05before this
30:05so
30:06yeah
30:07it's just
30:07an incredible
30:07feeling
30:08to get it
30:08so
30:08yeah
30:08you have
30:09been under
30:09pressure
30:10the team's
30:10been under
30:10pressure
30:11but
30:11they did
30:12fight
30:12and they
30:13did
30:13battle
30:13for you
30:13they fight
30:14for each
30:14other
30:14they fight
30:15for the
30:15club
30:15they fight
30:15for staff
30:16they fight
30:16for me
30:16the fight
30:17for everyone
30:17the fans
30:18most importantly
30:19I like the
30:20character
30:20and the
30:20mentality
30:21in the team
30:21today
30:21that so much
30:23we need to
30:23improve
30:23but I like
30:24that discipline
30:25we had
30:25because you
30:26need to have
30:27that in the
30:28Premier League
30:28there will be
30:29difficult games
30:29especially away
30:30from home
30:30very disappointing
30:31result
30:32but it's a
30:34little bit
30:34like many games
30:36this year
30:37that if you
30:38don't score
30:39you can't win
30:39and it's not
30:40that we don't
30:40create the chances
30:41we just miss
30:42them right now
30:43and then we get
30:44punished with a
30:45set play
30:45and that's a
30:46little bit
30:46the story
30:47that happens
30:47more or less
30:48every game
30:49I see the effort
30:50but to be honest
30:53the finishing
30:53quality was not
30:54there today
30:54well it was a
30:56good afternoon
30:56for Archie Gray
30:58as he gets his
30:59first senior
31:01goal
31:02for Spurs
31:04there
31:05great feeling
31:05for him
31:06best feeling
31:07I would never
31:08know
31:08but it wasn't
31:11a go
31:11it wasn't a
31:14great game
31:14was it
31:15but as
31:16Thomas Frank
31:16said
31:17maybe the
31:18quality
31:18could improve
31:19but they
31:19had a bit
31:20of something
31:20today
31:21no it really
31:21wasn't a
31:22great game
31:22and it wasn't
31:22necessarily
31:23a top
31:24performance
31:24you know
31:24they were
31:25lacking a
31:25little bit
31:26of identity
31:26you find
31:27with Spurs
31:27but when
31:28you're lacking
31:28identity
31:28and you want
31:29people to just
31:29roll their
31:30sleeves up
31:30and play
31:30for you
31:31that's where
31:32people like
31:32Richarlison
31:33come to the
31:33fore
31:33now look
31:34there's no
31:35doubt about
31:35it
31:36if Zolanky's
31:36fit he's
31:37leading the
31:37line
31:37but this
31:38season
31:38he's just
31:39been a
31:40pest hasn't
31:40he
31:40and he's
31:41got good
31:41numbers
31:41he's a
31:42real threat
31:42when he
31:43gets in
31:43he makes
31:44it difficult
31:44Lerma filling
31:45in this
31:46afternoon
31:46for Richards
31:47just pulling
31:48onto him
31:49and if it's
31:49not for
31:50Bergfeld
31:50just being
31:50slightly
31:51offside
31:51they can
31:51get
31:51themselves
31:52off to
31:52a really
31:52good
31:53start
31:53here
31:53his
31:54movement's
31:54good
31:54he's
31:55alive
31:55he's
31:56just
31:56ready
31:56off the
31:57back
31:57caught
31:58them
31:58sleeping
31:59and
31:59not
32:00ideally
32:00they
32:00go
32:00on
32:00the
32:00lot
32:01there
32:01but
32:01here
32:02I know
32:03what he's
32:03trying to
32:03do
32:03as a
32:03goalkeeper
32:04he wants
32:05Henderson
32:05to slide
32:05at him
32:06that's how
32:06he is
32:07that's his
32:07sort of
32:07mentality
32:08he wants
32:08to win
32:08those sort
32:09free kicks
32:09but look
32:10tough game
32:11scrappy
32:11he's really
32:12strong there
32:12flicks it on
32:13for Archie
32:13Gray
32:14and he gets
32:14his big
32:15moment
32:15now look
32:16Palace
32:16absolutely
32:17battered
32:17them
32:17possession
32:18wise
32:18they had
32:19lots of
32:19chances
32:19but if
32:20Tottenham
32:20were going
32:20to wrap
32:21this game
32:21up
32:21he was going
32:22to be
32:22involved
32:22in it
32:23just
32:23can't
32:24quite
32:24hold
32:24his
32:24run
32:25here
32:25an
32:25excellent
32:25ball
32:26from
32:26Kudus
32:26but like
32:27I say
32:28towards the
32:28end of
32:28the game
32:29Tottenham
32:29are just
32:29hanging on
32:30look at
32:30that kick
32:30from
32:31Vicario
32:31but his
32:31awareness
32:32as Lacroix
32:32comes into
32:33him here
32:33this is
32:34really
32:34really
32:35good
32:35play
32:35sharp
32:36Odebert
32:37little
32:37one
32:37two
32:38it's
32:39not
32:39conventional
32:40but at
32:40the end
32:41of the
32:41day
32:41you've
32:41got to
32:41try
32:41and win
32:42yourself
32:42the game
32:42it's
32:43a lovely
32:43pull
32:43into
32:44his
32:44stride
32:44unlucky
32:46effort
32:47but here
32:47we just
32:47see a
32:48beautiful
32:48flip
32:48around
32:48the
32:49corner
32:49of
32:49Brennan
32:50Johnson
32:50like I
32:50say
32:50if Tottenham
32:51were going
32:51to wrap
32:51this game
32:52up and
32:52make it
32:52a little
32:53bit more
32:53comfortable
32:53he was
32:54going to
32:54be involved
32:54in it
32:55and that's
32:56Archie Gray
32:56saying thanks
32:57for the
32:57assist
32:57and that's
32:58the difference
32:59for him
32:59this season
33:00and how much
33:01Thomas Frank
33:02has used
33:02him
33:02compared
33:03to last
33:04is it a
33:05case of
33:06digging in
33:06for them
33:07this season
33:08is that what
33:09Thomas Frank
33:09was saying
33:10well I think
33:11for now
33:11the next few
33:12weeks
33:12they've had such
33:13extremities of
33:14performances
33:14some really
33:15good ones
33:15some awful
33:16ones
33:16when you're
33:17not playing
33:18well as Joe
33:18said the
33:19fans
33:19all they want
33:21to see is
33:21you fight
33:22for everything
33:23even the
33:24defeat against
33:25Liverpool
33:25with a man
33:26down
33:27they showed
33:27character
33:28they showed
33:28some guts
33:29and the fans
33:30walk away
33:30going okay
33:31something to
33:31work on
33:32which was
33:32actually the
33:32big criticism
33:33of the Arsenal
33:34game
33:34and Chelsea
33:35they just
33:36sat there
33:37and waited
33:37to be beaten
33:38was the
33:38criticism
33:39Tottenham
33:40with the
33:40quality
33:40they've got
33:41they need
33:43to be
33:43more composed
33:44more creative
33:45more on the
33:46front foot
33:47you can't
33:48play like that
33:48every week
33:49Palace had
33:4962% possession
33:51and dominated
33:51them for large
33:52parts of the
33:52game and
33:53deserve some
33:53credit too
33:54even though
33:54they lost
33:55yeah and
33:55you'll go
33:56look at that
33:56because as
33:57Joe says
33:57they sort of
33:58battered them
33:59in every way
34:00bar actually
34:00scoring
34:01yeah they
34:02were
34:03completely in
34:04control for
34:05long periods
34:05because they
34:06played really
34:07good football
34:07they controlled
34:08the midfield
34:09areas
34:09it was just
34:11lacking in the
34:11final third
34:12which when
34:13they look at
34:14these highlights
34:16post video
34:16tomorrow
34:17whenever it
34:17is
34:18they'll feel
34:18a bit better
34:19about themselves
34:19because if you
34:20keep getting in
34:20these good
34:20positions
34:21you're going to
34:22score goals
34:23Mateta we know
34:24is more reliable
34:25than that normally
34:26he's just having
34:26a little spell
34:27this from
34:28Devaney is a
34:29chance really
34:30should be ready
34:31and should be
34:31taken
34:32I know they're
34:32missing Sarr
34:33who's at
34:33AFCON
34:34who's a big
34:34player for them
34:35and they kept
34:35probing
34:36they kept
34:36getting in
34:37the right
34:37areas
34:38we've seen
34:40Palace this
34:40season have
34:41really good
34:41spells
34:42they're just
34:43going through
34:43a little bit
34:44of a bad
34:44one at the
34:44minute
34:45and it's
34:45only because
34:46when they're
34:47getting in
34:47the final
34:47third
34:48they're not
34:48playing with
34:50this
34:50they're not
34:50got the
34:51same killer
34:51instinct
34:51the same
34:52conviction
34:52this is a
34:53wonderful
34:53chance from
34:54Lacroix
34:54they've got to
34:55be scoring
34:56that really
34:56and they did
34:57deserve something
34:58out of the
34:58game
34:58you've got to
34:58be honest
34:59about it
34:59Gaye who
34:59scored the
35:00winner at
35:00Fulham
35:00from a very
35:01similar position
35:02there gets
35:02a chance
35:02late in the
35:03game
35:03I know
35:04he's frustrated
35:04I know
35:05he's angry
35:05and their
35:06squad at
35:06the moment
35:07is thin
35:08he hasn't
35:09got
35:09the bench
35:10was inexperienced
35:11he hasn't
35:11got an
35:11abundance of
35:12options
35:12so they'll
35:13get through
35:14this stuff
35:14it's just
35:16a slightly
35:17strange state
35:18I suppose
35:18for them
35:19at the
35:19moment
35:19they're 9th
35:20in the
35:20Premier League
35:21which maybe
35:21ordinarily
35:22they would
35:22have taken
35:23but they're
35:25coming off the
35:25back of a
35:26great season
35:26last season
35:27they've lost
35:28three on the
35:29spin now
35:30having had a
35:30good start to
35:31the season
35:32do you sense
35:33there's a bit
35:33of frustration
35:35100%
35:36absolutely
35:37undoubtedly
35:37because they
35:38had such a
35:39good finish
35:39to the end
35:40of last season
35:40they've actually
35:41started well
35:42they've got
35:42silverware
35:43and you felt
35:43like they were
35:44ready to kick
35:44on going into
35:45Europe
35:45and it just
35:46felt like the
35:47conversation was
35:48always going to
35:48be when those
35:49European games
35:49kicked in
35:50would they be
35:50able to
35:51would they have
35:51the squad
35:51capable to
35:52manage the
35:53Premier League
35:53and Europe
35:54Oliver Glasder
35:55has made
35:56noises saying
35:56that he's not
35:57necessarily happy
35:57with the squad
35:58he doesn't feel
35:58like they've
35:59backed it up
35:59and look when you
36:00put that out
36:01into the universe
36:01and then you
36:02start losing
36:02games
36:03ultimately
36:03you're going
36:04to have a
36:04negative spin
36:04around it
36:05I heard a fan
36:05on Five Live
36:06earlier saying
36:07that they were
36:08worried that
36:09they missed the
36:10opportunity in the
36:10summer to really
36:11go for it when
36:12it came to
36:12strengthening
36:13and now they're
36:14going into a
36:15six month period
36:16where they didn't
36:17really strengthen
36:18Gabe more than
36:20likely will go
36:21and their managers
36:22only got six
36:23months left as
36:23well
36:24they've got a
36:25chance of still
36:25being cute and
36:26clever in January
36:26maybe a couple of
36:27loans and some
36:28players who are out
36:29favour elsewhere
36:30they can get in
36:31because everyone
36:31wants to play in
36:32the Premier League
36:32the problem we
36:33were talking about
36:34earlier is that
36:34a manager who's
36:35got an uncertain
36:37future how's he
36:38going to persuade
36:39someone to come
36:40and join the
36:40journey that
36:42Palace are on
36:42but Joe made a
36:43good point
36:44we talked about
36:44some players who
36:45are just desperate
36:46to play first team
36:47football at a club
36:47like Palace
36:48you'll get some
36:48through the door
36:49if they don't get
36:51any players through
36:52I think they
36:53probably need at
36:53least three
36:54then it's going
36:56to be difficult
36:56to see how the
36:57season can be a
36:58success
36:58would you worry
36:59about signing for
37:00a club where the
37:01manager had six
37:02months left and it
37:03was a bit unclear
37:04what was happening
37:05depends on the
37:06wages
37:06depends on what
37:07your career
37:07never
37:09I find a lot of
37:10you say that
37:11to be honest
37:12I was joking
37:13plenty of
37:15positives points
37:16you know they're a
37:16club that obviously
37:17they're on the back
37:18of a bad run but
37:18they're in Europe
37:19they know that when
37:20they play well and
37:21they get their team
37:21back they can be a
37:22real threat in the
37:23Premier League so
37:23you definitely want to
37:24join that party
37:25he is that guy
37:28there's another match
37:29of the day on
37:30Tuesday night so
37:31you can join Kelly
37:32for that
37:33the most salad
37:34documentary
37:34never give up is
37:35available now on
37:36iPlayer if you've
37:37lost track you can
37:38catch up with every
37:39match of the day
37:39and individual match
37:40highlights on iPlayer
37:42clever ball around
37:50the corner Reinders
37:50is in and Reinders
37:52scores it hasn't
37:54taken Manchester
37:55City long
37:56clever ball
38:02here goes Jesus
38:03Hutchinson and
38:04Mark Backpost
38:04here he is
38:051-1
38:06that was a
38:10brilliant goal
38:10Foden to try
38:13again
38:13again goes deep
38:16but this time it
38:17does find the head
38:18Cavani Olt
38:18driven in
38:19Scherke scored
38:21City in front
38:23this Frenchman is
38:25having quite an
38:26impact on
38:27Manchester City
38:28this season
38:29tricky one to
38:33defend
38:34and Villa
38:35haven't defended
38:35it
38:36and Chelsea
38:37have the lead
38:38Chelsea have just
38:40looked a bit ropey
38:41in the last few
38:42minutes
38:42Rodgers
38:43great ball
38:43Watkins
38:441-1
38:45it's Oli
38:47Watkins again
38:48at Stamford Bridge
38:49there's Watkins
38:56Filler have done
38:59it again
39:00Oli Watkins
39:03sends the away end
39:04at the bridge
39:05into Delirium
39:07Primpong
39:10fits away from
39:12Giao Gomez
39:12and takes an
39:13Hugo Bueno
39:13and pulls it back
39:15for Gravenberg
39:15Liverpool lead
39:18double
39:19Dutch
39:19Primpong's
39:21assist
39:22for Gravenberg's
39:23finish
39:23Necateke
39:27Necateke
39:31through the
39:31Florian
39:32Vierks
39:33there's the
39:35moment he's
39:36been waiting
39:36for
39:37Alisson
39:42can't get
39:42through
39:43makes the
39:44first save
39:44but the
39:45follow-up
39:45is put in
39:46by Santiago
39:47Bueno
39:48Wolves
39:49have a
39:50glimmer
39:50of light
39:51here is
39:54Saka
39:54and
39:56Odegaard
39:57that's a
39:59really good
39:59finish by
40:00Martin
40:01Odegaard
40:02and the
40:03skipper
40:03scores his
40:04first goal
40:04of the
40:05season
40:05Price
40:09another pace
40:09on that
40:10I think
40:10it's an
40:10own goal
40:11Jorginho
40:12Ruta
40:13has got
40:13the final
40:13touch
40:14on that
40:14Ruta
40:18on the
40:19half turn
40:19Ayari
40:20through the
40:21crowd
40:21and off
40:21the post
40:22and the
40:23follow-up

40:26makes it
40:262-1
40:27lovely little
40:30flick
40:30that's
40:31Minty
40:31what a
40:32save
40:32that is
40:33that
40:34looked like
40:34a goal
40:35all day
40:36long
40:36so on
40:39last night's
40:39match of the
40:40day
40:40Gabby said
40:41that if they'd
40:42had a goalkeeper
40:43in the studio
40:43they'd have done
40:44four minutes
40:45on that save
40:46and we have
40:47four minutes
40:48of chat
40:49left
40:50we just need a
40:51goalkeeper
40:51Danny
40:52who is this
40:54could you
40:55fill your boots
40:57go on
40:57right let's do
40:58this
40:58let's do
41:00this
41:00right okay
41:01so I want
41:02to point out
41:03the Davare
41:03doesn't just
41:04make that
41:04save out
41:04the blue
41:05he's not
41:06all game
41:07he's got
41:08he's making
41:08these movements
41:09especially in
41:09the second half
41:10when they're
41:10pushing
41:10readjusting
41:12from cross
41:13to shot
41:13that's very
41:14simple
41:14but the
41:15movements
41:15are the
41:15same
41:16here he is
41:16we see him
41:17highlighted
41:17he's set
41:18for the cross
41:19and there's
41:20Minter
41:20puts it
41:21into the
41:21middle
41:21readjust
41:22resets
41:23little micro
41:24movements
41:24you'll see him
41:25highlighted
41:25all right
41:26it's not a
41:26good shot
41:26he's set
41:27for it
41:27that's the
41:28point I'm
41:28making
41:29here we see
41:29his positioning
41:30nice and
41:31high
41:31ready to
41:32help his
41:32defense
41:32is the
41:33cross
41:33coming in
41:34this actually
41:34is the
41:35goal
41:35but you
41:36can't judge
41:36him for
41:36that
41:36look at
41:37the movement
41:37all the
41:38time
41:38he's always
41:38getting as
41:39sharp as
41:39he can
41:40making it
41:40as difficult
41:40as he can
41:41this is the
41:42moment
41:42make it
41:42difficult
41:43great spring
41:44I'm telling
41:44you if that's
41:45on target
41:45he makes a
41:46brilliant save
41:47and that is
41:47the reason why
41:48when it comes to
41:49the big
41:49moments
41:49he's ready
41:50here we see
41:55into the box
41:56doesn't happen
41:57if it goes
41:59into router
41:59beautiful touch
42:01around the corner
42:02now you've got
42:02to readjust
42:03okay it's now
42:04going to be a
42:04shot I've got to
42:05make it as
42:05difficult as I
42:06can
42:06little check
42:07of the post
42:08gets himself
42:09in line as
42:09quickly as he
42:10possibly can
42:10you're not
42:11beating me near
42:11post you've
42:12got to go
42:12across me
42:13geez what a
42:14brilliant save
42:15now look you
42:17can have all the
42:17technical movements
42:18you want in the
42:19world get yourself
42:19in the right
42:20position but have
42:21you got that
42:21world-class power
42:22have you got that
42:23spring have you
42:24got the elasticity
42:25through your body
42:26to make every
42:27single part of
42:27your body count
42:28David Rea has
42:29look at this
42:30sets readjusts
42:32every single
42:33fibre in his
42:34body is making
42:35that save
42:35absolutely brilliant
42:36save a massive
42:38moment and that
42:38is why Arsenal
42:39still stop at the
42:40Premier League
42:40because of that
42:41man right there
42:42but isn't it
42:43like to the
42:44layman to the
42:45non goalkeeper
42:47right when that
42:48last one from
42:49behind the goal
42:50as you see the
42:51shot about to
42:52come in you
42:52know you sort of
42:54know which way
42:54it's going to
42:55go yeah and
42:56yet Rea has to
42:57take a step the
42:58other way first
43:00before he then
43:01goes that way
43:02right so often
43:02you'll see Rea's
43:03movement here
43:04he's not quite
43:04sure as it goes
43:05that's that
43:06movement can he
43:07get set where
43:08is he going to
43:08go right it's
43:09going to my
43:09right hand side
43:10he'll quickly
43:11assess that
43:12through his body
43:13you'll see him
43:14splay his legs
43:15because he has
43:15to get set as
43:16we run it on
43:17here and you've
43:18got to create
43:18that momentum
43:19that left foot
43:20into the right
43:20foot which
43:21allows him to get
43:22the momentum
43:22to fly into that
43:24save make an
43:25unbelievable stop
43:26because it feels
43:27doesn't it to you
43:28as well that that
43:29slightly goes
43:31the opposite way
43:31it slightly goes
43:32against instinct
43:33to take one step
43:34that way
43:35it's taking everything
43:36for me not to get
43:37up right now and
43:38fly across this
43:39room but you've
43:39got to
43:40you've got to
43:45create that
43:45momentum so I'm
43:46set I'm moving
43:47okay I'm going to
43:48my right so I've
43:49got to load up my
43:49left leg to then
43:50fly into my right
43:51hand side because
43:52you can't just
43:53you can't just
43:54drop into your
43:55right do it at
43:56home you'll see
43:56it okay maybe
43:58tomorrow
43:58the other thing
44:00as well and this
44:01is a lot from
44:02work with you and
44:02Rob and Shea as
44:04well you do spend
44:05a lot more time
44:06don't you look at
44:07the really small
44:07steps that goal
44:08keepers make all
44:09the time on all
44:10of those clips that
44:11Joe showed rise
44:12making two three
44:13four five little
44:14steps before doing
44:15anything and it's
44:15actually all the
44:16stuff from years of
44:17training seeing the
44:19keepers over doing
44:19that footwork that
44:21doesn't come by
44:21accident it's just
44:22years and years of
44:23practicing but having
44:24a goalkeeper like
44:24him with the
44:26presence and just
44:27the trust they have
44:28in him yeah it just
44:29spreads throughout
44:30doesn't it yeah
44:31they do realize
44:32Arsenal so difficult
44:33to get through and
44:34then as a as a
44:35defender I'm sure it's
44:36a great feeling to
44:36know if someone does
44:37get that chance
44:38you've got someone
44:39that power that
44:40elasticity to make
44:41those big saves
44:41massive okay next
44:43time you're on I
44:44will get you flying
44:45across the street I'm
44:46ready I'm so ready
44:46I know you are
44:47quickly move on here
44:49are the rest of the
44:50goals from Christmas
44:50week well done
44:52it's good
44:52what a memorable way to
45:05score your first
45:06Manchester United goal
45:08Thiago plays in Thiago
45:12plays in Sharder too strong
45:16for Diakite Sharder a
45:20brilliant Brentford goal
45:22five upfield and that's turned
45:27into a really good pass for
45:28Igor Thiago
45:29Thiago
45:31oh it's in
45:34well not sure if that will go
45:38down as his goal but the
45:40score line now reflects
45:41Brentford's dominance
45:43and they have a three on two
45:48Sharder making good ground
45:50Thiago picks it up
45:52Sharder
45:53devastating
45:56from one end to the other
45:59form of the punished
46:00with ruthless efficiency
46:03Jimenez
46:07are we still going
46:10Semenyo
46:12Bournemouth have one back
46:17Damscott
46:18Heath Henderson
46:21back in for Damscott
46:24Sharder
46:25game set
46:28match
46:29and a hat trick for Kevin
46:31Sharder
46:32nicely done
46:36Wilson sending it across
46:38get a second a chance to do
46:41so
46:41and it's Raul Jimenez
46:43again
46:44with five minutes to go
46:47right place
46:48right time
46:491-0
46:49Fulham
46:50Irabunum for Dwight McNeil
46:55Irabunum
46:57oh so clever from Beto
46:59and it's taken
47:00exceptional reactions
47:01from Dabranca
47:02to turn the ball aside
47:04Jadon Anthony
47:08there's a chance here
47:11for Burnley
47:12Zian Fleming is in
47:13and has come as close
47:17to scoring
47:18as it is possible
47:20to come
47:20and before we go
47:24let's just take a look
47:24at the Premier League
47:25table
47:26Sunderland
47:26stay seventh
47:27after missing the chance
47:28to climb into the top five
47:30but they do have
47:31their highest points total
47:32at this stage
47:33of a Premier League season
47:34for 15 years
47:35Palace remain ninth
47:37Leeds are seven points
47:38clear of the relegation zone
47:40now
47:40and Tottenham
47:41have risen
47:42to 11
47:43that's it from us
47:44thanks to Danny
47:45and Joe
47:46Match of the Day
