00:3052-year-old John MacDonald was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court after admitting causing death by dangerous driving.

00:37Suzanne Cherry died in April 2023, the day before her 63rd birthday,

00:43after she was struck by a van at Aston Wood Golf Club in Staffordshire.

00:47The court heard MacDonald was driving erratically while being pursued by police

00:51after he and others defrauded elderly victims out of tens of thousands of pounds in a roofing scam.

00:58As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it entered the golf club grounds where Suzanne Cherry was walking with friends.
