00:00We went out to dinner last night, Ruby had gymnastics, and then there's a sushi restaurant
00:06right next to it, the gymnastics place, and I said to Amanda, let's just go and get sushi,
00:11and they're like, she's like, the kids won't eat it, but like, they'll do chicken and rice.
00:14I was gonna say, is there other things for them to eat?
00:16Yeah, yeah, so we went, and great food, I love the sushi, we've been there before, they're
00:21usually not open on Monday, but for some reason they were open last night, and so the bad
00:29thing is, is that we got a waiter, and I appreciate his honesty, but he's like, hey, just to let
00:36you guys know, my name is blah, blah, blah, and it's my first night here, and we're like,
00:39okay, so I ordered edamame and miso soup, and so did Amanda, and we ordered our drinks, well
00:46it took a while for our drinks to come, but they eventually came, but then like, I had
00:50to go tell him that we wanted our edamame, and we wanted our soups before the meal, because
00:57he was just kind of sitting there, waiting for the kitchen, and so I said, hey, if you
01:04don't mind, can we get the edamame and the soups before the meal, and he goes, oh yeah,
01:07absolutely, and he walks back to the kitchen, and that takes like 10 minutes, then he comes
01:11back and he goes, I'm sorry, I didn't know that I had to put the edamame and the soups
01:16together myself, I thought the kitchen did it, so then he walked away, and Amanda and I
01:20are like, wow, he's completely untrained, like he's a waiter, and he probably has experience,
01:25but maybe he's never served there, in a sushi restaurant before, right, and because I think
01:31all sushi restaurants are pretty standard, you get your edamame first, you get your miso
01:35first, right, yeah, it's like an appetizer, well, sometimes they'll ask you like, do you
01:39want it as it comes out, or do you want those first, do you want it all together, yeah,
01:42he didn't, and I just assume that that's what happens, and so then Ruby, so then the, I know
01:49the sushi chef, great guy, he came over, and he, because I always kind of, I take what's
01:54on the menu, but I'll be like, hey, can you add this, can you take that away, and Amanda,
01:58my wife, thinks that's a pain, but I go, no, these sushi chefs like doing that, I know
02:03that, I know a few sushi chefs, okay, try and say that word, sushi chef, that is hard,
02:09yeah, so I know a few sushi chefs, and they like making custom orders, so anyway, and it's
02:14not crazy, I'm just like, hey, take out the cream cheese, add this, add tuna instead of
02:17shrimp, right, so then I got my sushi, and it was great, but the kids still hadn't gotten
02:22their chicken and rice yet, and I mean, that should be quicker than, than the chef making
02:28four different rolls for us, yeah, then the rice comes in a bowl for Dean and Ruby, and
02:35it's still in a plastic baggie, like that it was cooked in, what, yeah, so it was everybody's
02:40first day, chefs included, it sounds like, no, I'm guessing that like, again, he probably
02:47has to, they probably tell him, heat up the rice, the rice I think is made, it wasn't
02:52like in a, it was like just in a Ziploc bag, so I think the rice is made by the chef, and
02:56then the, maybe the waitress, or the waiter heats it up, and puts it in the bowl, but he
03:01kept the bag in there, this is the most bizarre, like, experience of eating at a restaurant
03:08I've ever heard, and do you know, like, we don't eat out very often at all, if this happened
03:14to Dallas and I, when we took the kids somewhere, he would, he would be like, never again, we're
03:18never going to eat again, yeah, I don't want to punish the place, though, I like the place,
03:22the owners are super, no, I would get punished, it's not about going to that specific restaurant,
03:26he'd be like, yeah, eating out just isn't for us, yeah, and then Amanda's like, should
03:30you tell him, maybe you're going to say something, like, the rag, the bag, the rice should be
03:34out of the bag, and I, I go, yeah, I'll tell him, but I didn't tell him that, when he came
03:38back finally with the check, he's like, how was everything, I go, good, I go, just a heads
03:41up, we've never had the rice in the bag before, and he goes, yeah, yeah, I know, I, I'm, it's
03:45all just, like, it's all new to me, you know, okay, yeah, he seemed a little out of it,
03:50but he'll do all right, maybe at a different restaurant, I hope that one was for him, he said
03:56he got fired from medieval times, I wonder why, I'm joking.
03:59The Northeast, and their favorite, um, hotels, they said hotels, my buddy Big Perm, to go
04:08to the bathroom, you guys are sharing in a text string, your favorite places to stop
04:13off and go number two, it doesn't make sense for me, I'm all the way down here, yeah, yeah,
04:18uh, and my buddy Big Perm's like, yo, you gotta go to any of the Marriott's, the Marriott's
04:22bathrooms are right off the lobby, and nobody questions you coming in or out, he says, be
04:27careful of, like, the comfort inns, because those bathrooms are further back, and once
04:29you start walking down the hallway, they might ask you.
04:32Be careful of the comfort inns.
04:33Thank God.
04:35But the Marriott's lobbies are, uh, the bathrooms are right off the lobby, bang, bang.
04:38Well, that's good to know.
04:39Yeah, and he's like, they're always clean, nobody's ever in there, because, like, a fast
04:44food place, you might think twice about some of those quick mark, uh, you know, the gas
04:48stations.
04:48Gas station, and a little rinky-dink, you'll find yourself in some stuff.
04:52How's a QT gas station?
04:55It can be quite hood, depending on which one you go to.
04:59They keep them clean or not so much sometimes?
05:02It depends.
05:03The only way I'm stopping at a gas station to use the restroom is if I'm on a road trip.
05:09Okay.
05:09Like, if I had to go between here and my house, I'd probably stop at a fast food restaurant
05:16first.
05:17You use the toilet at work.
05:19Yeah.
05:19You don't mind using the toilet at, let's say, like, you know, a mall.
05:23No.
05:24A store.
05:25No.
05:25No issues, right?
05:26Big Al, no issues for you either, right?
05:29No.
05:31Wait a minute.
05:31I'd be strict, but I'm also like, uh, your stomach ain't never, like, if your stomach is
05:36hurting enough, then you'll go anywhere, but I try to be strict.
05:38Your stomach was hurting yesterday.
05:40Why would you tell my business like that on this radio?
05:42Right.
05:43I guess I can't hit, but prevents me from doing that.
05:45Uh, we used to have a co-host, Roy, who, he lived here in South End and he refused to
05:50use the bathroom here.
05:51He would go home to use the bathroom.
05:53Yeah, you're right.
05:53Yeah.
05:54How many people, can we do a quick people poll and maybe you could drop us a line too and
05:59tell us, like, are you someone who cannot use the toilet outside of your home base?
06:05704-570-9595.
06:07My friend can't do it.
06:09Uh, Roy, our old co-host, couldn't do it.
06:12Like, no matter what, you'll just hold it.
06:14That's what he'll do.
06:14He'll just hold it.
06:15That's crazy.
06:16Your stomach, uh-uh.
06:18My stomach would not let me do it.
06:20Dude.
06:20Y'all have not had the bubble guts bad enough, did it?
06:22I've already used the toilet twice today.
06:24By the way, where's the toilet in the new place?
06:28How far from the studios?
06:30I think it's not far.
06:31Okay, because this is ideal.
06:34It's not in our actual office.
06:35We have to leave the office and go to the, oh no, do we share with other tenants on that
06:41floor?
06:42Yup.
06:44Oh my God.
06:44Public restrooms.
06:46Dun, dun, dun.
06:48OMG.
06:49All right.
06:50704-570-9595.
06:52The good news about working early is we'll get in there before anybody else.
06:56Who is it that can't use the toilet anywhere but home?
07:04Hey, it's Loren from the Mania and Loren Morning Show.
