00:07former local football star. Plans have now been approved for the Park Hotel in Netherton,
00:13including a new building and a seven-court paddle tennis facility. The paddle courts will be
00:18operated by Paddle 38, a company partly owned by former Liverpool FC defender John Flanagan.
00:25Sefton Council said the new courts would provide a venue for paddle for hotel guests,
00:30and the public. The planning application included a five-storey extension to the existing hotel,
00:36creating 40 extra rooms alongside the paddle facility, which would also include a reception
00:41area, changing rooms and a cafe.
