Anthropic launched a HIPAA-compliant version of its Claude AI to expand healthcare use, enabling secure handling of medical data and faster clinical workflows.

00:12according to Bloomberg. The San Francisco-based company said,
00:16its Claude product is launching a new HIPAA-compliant healthcare offering for hospitals,
00:21medical providers, and consumers to handle protected health data.
00:25Anthropic also said it has integrated scientific databases
00:28and added enhanced capabilities for biological research.
00:32Anthropic is also allowing consumers to export health data from apps,
00:36including Apple Health and Function Health, to gather and share records with providers.
00:40Anthropic said more than 22,000 providers at Banner Health use Claude,
00:44with 85% reporting faster work with higher accuracy.
00:48The company said it will not train models on healthcare user data.
