04:51win I have one maxi win and a mini win which is something sure I have no win and
04:59I'm honestly a little frustrated just looking at the statistics I feel like
05:03you've been in the bottom four times I've been in the bottom twice and I
05:06actually fought my way to be here like I wasn't given the Bieber I just feel like
05:10so discounted and it's really frustrating me and like you two have

21:44to the end I'm looking at this fugly black dress and she is not standing out interesting so I need to make her

23:23van is obviously the biggest competition I know she designs I know what she can do but that's enough
23:28from her her time's over let it go first half competition van sure whatever second half caramel is
23:33coming for that fucking crown I could have won the challenge over you our critiques were pretty much the
23:38same girl by caramel acting like she's a fucking designer now bitch you hot glued fucking fabric
23:46to a corset Brooklyn said that my look was the best made and she was the most impressed by mine
23:51what did you get she loved my look she said she would wear it it was just like the midsection was
23:56wrong there was no hem on the bottom and it was a black dress she said there was just minor details
24:00but I feel like for me not actually being a designer just to have those few edits kind of ate you up
24:05let's see if you can pull it off again without Suki's help let's see girl I want to make a similar
24:11dress to what I made for Brooklyn but kind of in a way that fits me my own way in my culture I want
24:17to kind of do what I did last week but better wait guys guys guys I have announcements oh these are nice

24:33biggest fear right now is like I really don't want my outfit to fall off of me I don't want it to break

25:07girl I really think that like my Acadianess is a big part of my uniqueness whether I'm in a queer space I
25:15want to bring my Acadian culture with me if I'm in an Acadian space I want to bring queerness with me
25:20because there are two things that are so integral to who I am as a person what's your Acadian last
25:27name again LeBlanc LeBlanc LeBlanc growing up I always knew I was Acadian and I just like never had a lot
25:35of opportunities to really connect with it my Nana uh Yvonne LeBlanc is Yvonne yeah yeah very Acadian
25:42is a very Acadian name yeah um she's actually the reason why I got into sewing I found her like
25:47old sewing machine in my basement she's like didn't grow up with a lot of money so like sewing was kind
25:52of more of like a tactical yes like reason my grandma lost her mind towards the end of her life
25:58and she wasn't the same anymore so getting to hold on to our love of sewing together has been such like a
26:05blessing but when I went back to Nova Scotia where my Nana's from I've never met these people in my life
26:10but they were acting like we've been at family gatherings all the time like yeah it was yes an
26:15Acadian family party is a party another big thing about being Acadian is that we have it's what people
26:23always say when they meet us we have it's what the V like we love we'd love to have fun like hello I
26:29really want to like go and like experience more of like even like where you're from and just like where
26:35family's from seeing Sammy here and like I see my like Nana and my like family and her just feels so
26:42much more connected to that it's just been so like really nice girl how are you planning on showing your
26:50your uniqueness I kind of want to just walk down the runway and serve like black excellence she deserves
26:58to be here she's not like I'm not just here because I'm black like I'm not a token you know what I mean yes
27:03and I want to show that being a black queen you want the sisterhood and because drag is also so
27:11competitive and also because drag does tokenize a lot this is like this sense of like fighting for
27:19those opportunities to be like the token black girl how's that like growing up in these coasts these
27:24coasts is very white and I feel like where there was black kids it was very much like oh you're not
27:30black or like you're not black enough and I feel like my blackness was kind of stripped away everything
27:35was fine around my family but like being one of the only black kids in my school and like all my
27:41friends being predominantly white it's more so just like the way you're raised like what you're around
27:44yeah it's like people would say like you don't speak like you're black and it's like well what do
27:48black people speak like what about I mean yeah I also grew up around that same mindset of people
27:55yeah that were constantly telling me I wasn't black enough and so I'm like okay well so then what is
28:02the what's the rule book exactly it's crazy because it's like girl you're black because you're black and
28:09there's no right way to be something aside from like being yourself who put that thought there in the
28:15first place of what is and what's not black enough it's such a nasty deeply rooted self-hate and racism
28:24because when you don't see black people act like these caricatures you're like what you're not
28:33you're not black what the fuck and it's so nasty because it's it was this it's such an intentional plan
28:42to help break down any sense of community it's like girl we're two black queens and I think it's
28:51sickening because we both have very different perspectives on things but that's the important
28:55part yeah people don't think about intersectionality a lot and there's so many ways that people were
29:01raised things that we were learned and so much that we're exposed to are all exposed to different
29:05culture and the black experience is not one size fits all I think we are bonded and have similar
29:13experiences especially when it comes to racism and oppression but when it comes to personality and
29:19identity that's all different you don't put that into a category I love your sister I love you
29:25I'm so glad that Karamok is here and I see her so clearly I am just I'm just so happy I'm so happy

30:08day without worry about going home well you escaped another design challenge which like
30:14serious probably is your biggest fear I didn't have to do it three times yeah you missed a lot of
30:21emotions okay so what did you get up to did you sleep I got a little bit of sleep but you've been
30:27going through it like every week and I feel like to get that first spot this is so big for you so
30:32like yeah also like a performance challenge from like the lip sync slayoffs like redeem that yeah
30:36that that was the most important thing for me is like the slayoffs felt so different than yesterday's
30:42challenge because you're competing against somebody yesterday it felt like the first time that I went out
30:48there by myself and just vibed with the judges and did a performance I love to dance so much for some
30:57reason when I perform everything goes out of my head except the moment in the fun I'm having my mom and I
31:04shared this commonality of dance from my earliest childhood memories it was times in the studio and then I
31:11just danced and it made my mom happy so I just kept doing it and it really made me happy too I haven't
31:19really told you all but um yeah this is the uh 10th year anniversary of my mom's passing too and I've just
31:30been um dealing with a lot of regret here and missing her a lot what do you regret well everything my mom
31:41was like one of my best friends uh yeah I really feel that I didn't use my time enough with her which
31:49sucks oh sorry I didn't come out to her I didn't let her into my partner and I's life and just being
32:03here and like being so happy here I just really wish want to share it with her I feel like really close to
32:08her being here and it's been a lot to deal with on my own a lot of it each time I like walk off the
32:15stage I like think of how proud she'd be of me and like yeah I feel like she missed out on a lot not
32:22all parents have to like be the biggest cheerleaders but my mom was and later on in life I found out that
32:31she knew I was queer but she never pushed me to come out she was waiting for me to do it myself and

37:08wow I completely transformed the dress I took the whole thing apart used it for patterns I took the
37:17black material and created a new legging to elongate the body and then I made this structural jacket dress
37:23it's a little McGlare a little punk it's giving Vivian Westwood goes north to the highlands
37:30inspired I feel like I manage a rock band I have power and I'm not afraid to use this I think I
37:37definitely would be firing someone I'm firing the other three designers because they can't sew

37:42welcome our designing women first up Ebony LaBelle now tell me about your look and how did you transform
37:53your dress into this so I took the skirt and I used it as this skirt as a base I sewed the whole top with
38:01some of the fabric that the dress was made out of and then I bedazzled and bling bling yeah but I did
38:07so I love the transformation of this dress this is something so quintessentially you that I could
38:12absolutely see you wearing out I love the classic burlesque elements with the little ruffles I love
38:18the asymmetry the sparkle the shine it's cheeky but classy at the same time somehow I can see that the
38:25dress is still there but I feel like the construction could have been tweaked a little bit tighter the
38:30challenge was to take this black dress and make it uniquely you and you can see that in the way that you
38:36walked out because you felt like you you're not just a glue gun girl I'm not girl I feel so powerful
38:43like and you hit the button so it goes back to finish it I was like okay yeah keep your nails out
38:49now who taught you that next up Sammy Landry hi hi tell us about your dress so I saw the little dress
38:59and then I was like you know what I'm just gonna cut her up so I cut the whole thing into strips
39:04and that's where these bows come from so this is all the remnants of that dress I really get your
39:10drag and I love how much you know who that is and what she wears it's giving me JLo and her iconic
39:18Versace number at the Grammys but the brief was to transform the dress all you did was use little
39:27pieces of the fabric from it to accentuate a completely new dress but you look good gal thank you
39:33next up Van Goss tell us about your look and how you incorporated the little black dress into it
39:41so I used it to create these pattern pieces on the jacket dress moment and then added in the plaid to
39:47kind of round it out and then I took the little black dress material to create more of a legging
39:51so it kind of has elements of a little black dress but a little black legging pant moment well as per
39:57usual you took a big bite out of a design challenge can't help it I love the silhouette I love that I can
40:03actually see elements of it in there I love that it's so you as well it's very your taste your drag
40:09it fits you beautifully I'm in awe of the of the craftsmanship the tailoring and I have a Scottish
40:16grandma which is not immediately apparent so I'm a sucker for plaid just fantastic next up Caramel tell
40:25us about your look and how you incorporated the little black dress into it so this week Ebony and
40:29I had a powerful conversation about our blackness so this look was kind of a love letter to that
40:34obviously I don't design last week I did really well so I didn't want to reinvent the wheel so I kind
40:39of went in that same structure and everywhere you kind of see like the flower trim I put the black dress
40:44as the trim and then the flowers over top um here and on the train as well and on the do rag you look
40:51gorgeous stunning and I can still empathize with everything that you just said about being black
40:57and black identity but the assignments is uniqueness and when you came out I was struck by how it looked
41:05like the look that you designed for Brooke which by definition doesn't make it unique you can't actually
41:11see any of the black dress on your outfit because it's covered by something else you do look beautiful in
41:16this it's a great silhouette on you I love this color palette on you it's rich it's gorgeous but
41:21unfortunately misses the mark when it comes to the challenge I think that your black experience is
41:26uniquely you and none of us are gonna touch that that's your your gold yeah the dress is not unique
41:34but girl you definitely are thank you there's the majesty to this look there's a regalness and there's
41:42also an iconography to it and that reminds me that all of humanity is one family and our mother if we
41:50trace her back far enough came from Africa all of us and I love the braids that wrap with the gold I I
41:59just love it thank you Queens we have made our decision Van Gogh you are the winner of the uniqueness round

43:15girl I love this dress the vibe in untucked is a little weird we have PM and Van who have earned
43:31their spot in the top four and we have three people who are desperate and exhausted trying to get their
43:39spot in the top four how are you feeling honestly really good like I really love this dress I think
43:45it's so good and I like I totally understand the critiques even when I was doing it I was like
43:50I don't think this is the challenge but I ended up with this great dress lovely gowns love the gown
43:55it's very Sammy it's very me I feel like I really did the best that I could do and I know that in this
44:02challenge it's all about keep knocking on the doors because at one point one of them will open
44:07I'm really happy about like the critiques and how they saw the look and I feel like the look represented
44:11something a little different for me but I understand that I didn't complete the assignment
44:15but I feel like the next challenge is something that's up my alley I'm happy that it's more of a
44:20dramatic side opposed to comedy I grew up doing acting I wanted to be an actor before I was a dancer
44:26and I trained for that I feel like it's really like that's what I do and that's who I am I feel
44:31good about going into this challenge I audition all the time doing monologues but again now there's
44:37only three of us the stakes are even higher so it's like you have to fight hard this is not the
44:42time to falter if any moment ever that you needed to be at your a game it's right fucking now I need
44:47to win this round because the chances are getting slimmer and slimmer and you can literally see that
44:54top four spots slipping away I've never felt more confident about a challenge coming up than right now
44:59work for real for real like I need to be in that top four this is mine to win I do not want to go
45:08into that last round I know that Karamuk has acting experience as well as me but Ebony's a wild card
45:15I'm just gonna tap into that vulnerable side and show the judges I think they've seen a lot of me and
45:22they know who I am and they know my fun and they know my light and they know my bright and I just want
45:28them to see like all of the pain and the challenge that I've had to work and go through as a fucking
45:36black trans woman to get here and fight so hard
45:40and I'm gonna show them I got a lot of feelings right now I got a lot of frustration anger hurt sadness
45:52and pain that is bottling up and it needs to come out and what better way to do that in this damn
46:00monologue I love you but I'm gonna really step into my competitive bag and just fucking crush it
46:09that's what I gotta do I'm like motivated right now the engine is heating up it's like the calm
46:15right before the storm I got a mission that needs to be accomplished as we're about to get ready to just
46:22battle it out to claim our own spots I just want to say like fucking bring nerve let's bring some
46:30fucking nerve to this places everyone curtains up I know the material this is what I do this is my bread
46:40butter this monologue I feel really speaks to me so I'm honestly treating it as every line every
46:48paragraph there's a story being told to the judges for this dramatic monologue I'm going into it really
46:54really different I'm taking all of everything I know and I'm throwing it away because I need it to
47:01be real and authentic and I need it to be from my heart above everything right now I want the judges to
47:11see the person behind the clown I am stripped bare and I'm not moving this is vulnerability at its greatest
47:21everything changed the day I got the call it's the call that every drag artist dreams of it's the call
47:33every drag artist dreams of the one that makes it all worth it one that makes it all worth it
47:43pecking for stage time gigs that no one wanted to take I took gigs that no one else wanted to take
47:53I took I took all for another chance to get on that tiny stage dancing for tips dancing for tips
48:03they don't see that they think it's all fun and games they think it's all fun and games
