Just shared a song I’ve been shaping for a while — Deliver Your Children (McCartney & Laine) in my own style. Over the years, I’ve added a few lines and tweaks, letting it grow while keeping the heart of the original.
I performed this last Sunday at Austin’s Ale House in Kew Gardens, Queens. To me, it still has that timeless folk feeling — part caution, part journey, part story that’s meant to be sung and shared. https://youtu.be/aky2KqPo6uU

00:00This song, um, most important, um, half Paul McCartney, half Paul McCartney.
00:13Well, the rain was falling and the ground turned to mud.
00:20I was watching all the people running from the flood.
00:25So I started crying, though I ain't no crying man.
00:31The Lord's not helping me, knowing he understands.
00:41Oh, deliver your children to a good, good life.
00:44Give you peace and shelter, a hard good night.
00:47Turn a light, a morning, a light.
00:49I found if anything goes wrong.
00:52You better make it right.
00:59Well, I had to be a woman.
01:02She was good, she was true.
01:05She had my faith completely.
01:08But somehow I always knew.
01:11Oh, why did she leave me?
01:14Why did she go away?
01:16Yes, why did she leave me?
01:19And how?
01:23But I stayed.
01:26Oh, deliver your children to a good, good life.
01:30Give you peace and shelter, a hard good night.
01:32Turn a light, a morning, a light at night.
01:35If anything goes wrong.
01:39You better make it right.
01:42So I started traveling, and I'm here that I'm south.
01:51And if they ever catch me, it'll leave my world now.
01:56I say I'm the devil.
01:59They say I'm wrong alone.
02:02I'll put on me a devil.
02:04All the things that I saw.
02:12Oh, deliver your children to a good, good life.
02:15Give you peace and shelter for a midnight.
02:18Turn a light, a morning, a light at night.
02:20If anything goes wrong.
02:24You better make it right.
02:27Well, the rain was falling, and the ground turned to mud.
02:36I was watching all the people running from the flood.
02:41So I started praying, though I ain't no praying man.
02:46For the Lord to come and help me know and heed, understand.
03:03Woo!
