00:00It's maybe time for Sam Altman to start worrying. ChatGPT has seen a decline in traffic for two
00:07months straight for the first time in two years. The dip might not look like much here and this
00:13chart only captures visitors to ChatGPT.com, not users on the app. But it's still troubling
00:19for OpenAI, whose sky-high valuation relies on this idea that it will be the choice for
00:24consumers using AI. Now, ChatGPT is still by far the most popular AI chatbot and indeed
00:31the fifth most popular website in the world. But I think this is proof that competition
00:36is heating up. Google's latest Gemini model has been extremely well received and is now
00:42considered enough of a threat for Sam Altman to declare a code red in the company. And
00:47Alphabet, the parent company of Google, just leapfrogged Apple to become the second most
00:53valuable company in the US, thanks to its growing AI capabilities. It's not panic stations at
00:59OpenAI yet, but Sam Altman's task is to make sure that at the end of this month, this chart
01:05starts pointing up again.
