00:00Hottest team going right now in all of college football.
00:02Indiana beats Ohio State.
00:04They win last week of the playoff game.
00:05Mendoza, I don't know what Mendoza is in the future, honestly,
00:09but in college right now, he's like perfect.
00:11He's the perfect quarterback.
00:13Doesn't make mistakes, always completing passes.
00:16And then when they get a lead, they just run the ball.
00:18The game ends, Paul.
00:19So what happens tonight in the semifinal game?
00:22Total of 48 and a half.
00:24It just seems as though this kid Mendoza's unflappable.
00:27Yeah, I'll tell you, we have two great matchups, Craig, without question.
00:33I mean, the Ole Miss-Miami game has plenty of intrigue.
00:36In this game, a matchup of Big Ten schools, Oregon and Indiana,
00:40just great theater, you know, and you've got two quarterbacks.
00:44You mentioned Fernando Mendoza, but Dante Moore for Oregon.
00:47This is a guy who is, you know, signed with UCLA at a high school
00:51as a true freshman in 2023.
00:53I believe he started five games for the Bruins.
00:57Not a real good UCLA team.
00:59So he took his bumps and bruises.
01:01Last year, after transferring to Oregon, he sits behind Dylan Gabriel,
01:06hardly plays.
01:07So the point I'm really getting to is the fact Dante Moore,
01:10although highly recruited, a five-star guy,
01:13he hadn't really played a whole lot of football until this season.
01:16And we've seen that maturation and that development, I think,
01:20the second half of the quarterback, second half of the season, rather.
01:24And, I mean, again, three of these quarterbacks, not to knock Carson Becks,
01:28because he's got some talent in his own right.
01:30But, man, you look at these two quarterbacks in the Friday semifinal,
01:33Fernando Mendoza, the Heisman Trophy winner for Indiana,
01:36and then Dante Moore for Oregon, and then also, of course,
01:40Ole Miss's Trinidad Chambliss.
01:41So we've got some big-time quarterbacks.
01:44And in this game, you know, this is a rematch of an earlier game played
01:48the second Saturday in October when Indiana travels to Eugene to Austin
01:53Stadium to play Oregon as a seven-point underdog.
01:56Oregon actually tied that game early in the fourth quarter.
01:59Brandon Penny Jr. picks off a Fernando Mendoza pass, returns at 35 yards.
02:04The game's tied at 20.
02:07Indiana, though, in true Indiana fashion, they drive 75 yards.
02:11And 12 plays on the ensuing drive, take the lead, ultimately win that game 30-20.
02:17Looking at that game, man, was Indiana's defense impressive.
02:22In the game, they give up just 267 yards total,
02:26allow the Ducks only 4.2 yards per play.
02:29Oregon only 3 of 14 on third down at home against Indiana in that loss.
02:37And the Hoosiers' defense was especially nasty in the second half.
02:40In the second half, the Ducks only 64 total yards on 27 plays, 2.4 yards per play.
02:48So just a huge effort by that Indiana defense.
02:52But now the question is, what does round two look like?
02:55You know, teams make adjustments.
02:56You've got two great coaching staffs here.
02:59So what will this one look like?
03:00Both teams coming off big victories.
03:02Oregon throttled Alabama 38-3 in their quarterfinal matchup.
03:07Oregon blank Texas Tech.
03:10The Red Raiders couldn't move the ball at all.
03:12Oregon wins that game 23-0.
03:14But I really like this Indiana defense.
03:17I think that's going to be the difference.
03:18I like kind of two plays here.
03:20The play that I like the most is going to be the total.
03:23I like this game to go under 48-1⁄2.
03:25And then I like Indiana minus 3-1⁄2.
03:28I just can't fade Eric Signetti.
03:30I like, you know, I'm going to keep going with the Hoosiers until they prove me wrong.
03:34And, again, I like the under the best and then Indiana as the side.
03:38I like the end of the year.
03:56And I acho it's going to be the first step.
