00:00:00Oh, my God.
00:00:30Leanne never asked to be born.
00:00:45She most certainly never asked to be born the first of three,
00:00:48and she definitely never asked for all the responsibility
00:00:51being the oldest in the Bradbury house would entail.
00:00:54You see, her father would come up with excuses to leave the house
00:00:57for hours at a time most days.
00:01:00And her mother, well, she was quite mysterious.
00:01:04She would spend all of her time in the basement,
00:01:06from which Leanne and her younger siblings, Jamie and Polly,
00:01:10would hear their mother chanting strange words
00:01:12and shuffling about through the floor.
00:01:14All this neglect left Leanne in charge of her siblings,
00:01:17which grew more and more tiresome to young Leanne.
00:01:21Then one day, on her 16th birthday,
00:01:23she decided to go to her best friend Olivia's house
00:01:26and escape her responsibilities for just this one night.
00:01:30When she arrived home the next morning,
00:01:31her mother informed her that her father had suddenly moved away.
00:01:36He was never seen or heard from again.
00:01:38The children's mother began to act increasingly more erratic.
00:01:42The townspeople whispered she was a witch and a madwoman.
00:01:45Then, in time, she too disappeared.
00:01:49Now left alone to care for Jamie and Polly,
00:01:52Leanne switched to night school and a day job
00:01:55in order to avoid any questions from her classmates,
00:01:58which might result in separation from her siblings.
00:02:02Leanne chose this sacrifice on her own and did not complain,
00:02:05but over time harbored a weight of mild subconscious resentment.
00:02:18Not that Leanne did not love her siblings very much,
00:02:21but how can you really enjoy the company of someone
00:02:23who's consuming your childhood?
00:02:26For one needs a childhood in order to discover,
00:02:28to find out who they are naturally.
00:02:30Without that,
00:02:32you must find the will to seek your identity later on,
00:02:35after life has told you its own twisted story,
00:02:38which is one of the most difficult tasks of all.
00:02:50Hello?
00:02:53Hello?
00:02:54Hello? Hello?
00:02:56Fuck, God damn it.
00:02:57Jamie?
00:02:57Hey, Leanne?
00:03:00Jamie, is that you?
00:03:02Are you okay?
00:03:03Yeah.
00:03:06Leanne, is that you?
00:03:08Yeah, it's me.
00:03:09What is it?
00:03:09What's the matter?
00:03:10Are you all right?
00:03:12Well, Janet is gone.
00:03:15Janet left.
00:03:17What?
00:03:17What do you mean she's gone?
00:03:18Is she okay?
00:03:19She left me.
00:03:22She didn't say goodbye or anything.
00:03:24And that's that, I think.
00:03:27Oh, well, how do you know she's gone?
00:03:30Because it's been three weeks.
00:03:33Oh.
00:03:36God.
00:03:36Yeah.
00:03:37I'm so sorry.
00:03:40Well, maybe she just needed a little time.
00:03:43Oh, yeah, do you think that that's what it is?
00:03:44That she just needs some time?
00:03:46No, I don't think so.
00:03:47You know as well as I do
00:03:48that when people leave, they never come back.
00:03:50So, what I want to know is
00:03:53what's wrong with me in this situation?
00:03:56Nothing, Jamie.
00:03:57Nothing is wrong with you.
00:03:59I'm pretty sure she met someone.
00:04:02I don't know that, but I do know that.
00:04:04And she's been telling me to grow up
00:04:07for the last three years,
00:04:08so maybe that's got something to do with it.
00:04:10I mean, do you think that's it?
00:04:13I don't know.
00:04:13My chest hurts so bad
00:04:15that I might be having a heart attack.
00:04:17I'm pretty sure I'm having a heart attack.
00:04:18So, I need you to come here now.
00:04:22I need you to come quick.
00:04:23Oh, Jamie.
00:04:23Because I can't do this alone,
00:04:25not in this house.
00:04:27Hon, it's really not the best time.
00:04:29Oh, please, Leanne, please.
00:04:32Also, I found a new box of moms in the basement.
00:04:39And you and Polly could come go through it
00:04:41and split that stuff up any way you can
00:04:43because I won't be needing it.
00:04:45Wait, what?
00:04:46What do you mean a new box?
00:04:47How'd we miss that?
00:04:48Well, it was buried.
00:04:49It was buried in shit.
00:04:53Listen, Jamie, let me just think for a minute
00:04:55and then I will call you right back, okay?
00:04:58Okay, think about it.
00:04:59And then come, both of you, please.
00:05:01Please come, I need you so...
00:05:03I need you both.
00:05:05You know what it's like, right?
00:05:06Yes.
00:05:07Yeah.
00:05:08Okay.
00:05:09Okay, so come.
00:05:10Okay, it's gonna be okay.
00:05:13Yes, I think so, too.
00:05:14I think I have a very positive outlet
00:05:15on this situation.
00:05:17Okay, Jamie.
00:05:18I'll talk to you in a minute, okay?
00:05:19Okay, please come.
00:05:20Okay, goodbye.
00:05:21Okay, bye.
00:05:27God damn it.
00:05:31I'm leaving you.
00:05:59Where are you going?
00:06:04Jamie's.
00:06:04Janet left him.
00:06:06Is he threatening suicide again?
00:06:09Maybe you should go through with it this time.
00:06:11Then she'll never leave.
00:06:12You can't say things like that.
00:06:13He's my brother.
00:06:16Why not send Polly?
00:06:17She's got nothing else to do.
00:06:19Well, Polly's not answering.
00:06:23Shocking.
00:06:25Okay, when are you coming back?
00:06:27I don't know.
00:06:27A couple days, maybe.
00:06:28I'll call.
00:06:29All right, well, don't be surprised
00:06:32if I can't get to the phone.
00:06:34I got a lot of stuff going on this week.
00:06:36What does that mean?
00:06:38That means I am very busy
00:06:39and I may miss your call.
00:06:41What about the kids?
00:06:43Jada can handle it.
00:06:44Jada is only 14.
00:06:47You did just fine at that age, didn't you?
00:06:52Oh, man.
00:06:56I'm gonna see you later.
00:06:57Okay, well, take care of that
00:07:00before you get away.
00:07:06Kids, shut up.
00:07:15Hey.
00:07:17So she finally did it.
00:07:18Good for her.
00:07:19Sucks for Jamie, though.
00:07:20What's he gonna do without her?
00:07:22He doesn't know how to wash a dish.
00:07:24Maybe he should kill himself.
00:07:26Jesus, Polly.
00:07:26You can't say things like that.
00:07:28He's your brother.
00:07:29What?
00:07:30I can't take care of him.
00:07:31He's exhausting.
00:07:32Like a Tasmanian devil
00:07:34running through the house,
00:07:35leaving shit everywhere in his path,
00:07:37crying about everything,
00:07:39switching hobbies daily.
00:07:41I mean, suicide really is for the best.
00:07:42I'm serious.
00:07:43Yeah, I know you're serious,
00:07:45and that's disturbing,
00:07:46but that has way more to do with you
00:07:48and your impatience than with him.
00:07:49You're thinking the same thing.
00:07:52You're just not saying it out loud.
00:07:55So are you coming or not?
00:07:57No, I got my own shit to worry about.
00:07:59He doesn't care if I'm there anyways.
00:08:01He just needs you.
00:08:02He's such a child that I'm not important
00:08:04because I'm not motherly.
00:08:06All men just want somebody to be their mom.
00:08:08It's not fucking me.
00:08:08I'm not a nurturer.
00:08:10Well, that's not entirely true.
00:08:12You can kind of be soft if you try to be.
00:08:16And besides, I don't know how you can forget.
00:08:17You guys were best friends when you were little.
00:08:19Only because we had to be.
00:08:22Freedom of choice doesn't really exist
00:08:23in that kind of environment.
00:08:25Aren't you a little curious what's in the box?
00:08:28Do you even actually believe there's a box,
00:08:30or do you think Jamie's just making it up
00:08:31because he's desperate,
00:08:32and then when we get there,
00:08:33he just magically loses it?
00:08:36He's not that clever.
00:08:39Besides, it's been way too long
00:08:41since we've been together,
00:08:42just the three of us.
00:08:43It might be kind of fun.
00:08:45Come on, Polly.
00:08:46They've been together four years.
00:08:47How would you feel?
00:08:53Fine, but I need you to pick me up on your way
00:08:55and just don't tell him I'm coming, okay?
00:08:58Just in case I change my mind.
00:09:09So what happened to your car?
00:09:16Ah, that psycho Jethro took a power gel to me underneath,
00:09:19and now it's leaking fluid.
00:09:20What?
00:09:22Well, that's insane.
00:09:24What did you do to him?
00:09:25Nothing.
00:09:26I just broke up with him
00:09:27because he's a freaking raging alcoholic.
00:09:31God, why don't you just assume that it's my fault?
00:09:32I didn't, I don't assume it's your fault,
00:09:35but you do kind of have a tendency
00:09:36to make people nuts,
00:09:37and then you run away.
00:09:38It's kind of your pattern.
00:09:40Wait, didn't you two just get couples' photos together?
00:09:44Not really.
00:09:45He's an amateur model
00:09:46and his friend's photographer,
00:09:47so they just invited me.
00:09:48But they're still posted online.
00:09:51I mean, I look pretty good,
00:09:52I've got to admit.
00:09:53And before you even fucking say anything,
00:09:56he is not that hot, okay?
00:09:58My friends are still mourning my breakup,
00:10:01which I initiated, thank you very much,
00:10:02and which I have been fucking over.
00:10:04Makes me sick.
00:10:06If you cut off all his hair,
00:10:07he's just a six anyways.
00:10:09Wasn't he really big into church?
00:10:11He tells people he is,
00:10:12but he's much more into alcohol
00:10:13and looking at himself in a mirror.
00:10:16He calls me an abomination
00:10:17because I've slept with, like, one or two chicks.
00:10:20His best friend's a lesbian.
00:10:21He says she's going to hell
00:10:23all the time.
00:10:23He's just an angry monster.
00:10:25He has some major mommy-daddy issues.
00:10:27I guess that's why I thought
00:10:28we'd get along, but...
00:10:31If you try to get me into bondage and shit,
00:10:33there's fucking something wrong
00:10:34with a guy like that.
00:10:36Yikes.
00:10:38Well,
00:10:39you and Jamie can commiserate.
00:10:42You can go out bar hopping together.
00:10:44I quit drinking.
00:10:45It makes me manic-depressive.
00:10:47And don't lump me in with Jamie,
00:10:49all right?
00:10:49We're not the freaking same.
00:10:51I choose to be single.
00:10:52Jamie's just unbearable.
00:10:55I do fine alone.
00:10:56I feel like I've been alone
00:10:57my entire life anyway.
00:10:58Okay, you haven't been alone
00:11:00your entire life.
00:11:01And Jamie is not unbearable.
00:11:03He's just complicated.
00:11:04He can be very sweet,
00:11:06thoughtful,
00:11:07and fun.
00:11:09He's very talented.
00:11:10None of that holds
00:11:11a freaking candle
00:11:12to all his flaws.
00:11:13I mean,
00:11:14don't be so in denial
00:11:15about how Jamie is.
00:11:16He's not your responsibility anymore.
00:11:17He's not your kid.
00:11:18I'm not in denial.
00:11:21And just because you have
00:11:22to call the cops on your boyfriends
00:11:24doesn't mean everyone else
00:11:25is terrible at picking relationships.
00:11:27And Jamie is not crazy.
00:11:29He has just had a hard life.
00:11:31We've all had a hard life.
00:11:33Now all we have are choices.
00:11:36Speaking of choices,
00:11:37how's Robert doing?
00:11:39Collecting enough guns
00:11:41for doomsday yet?
00:11:42Okay, let's just leave Robert
00:11:43out of this.
00:11:44Can we please?
00:11:46I mean, just because you're single,
00:11:48you don't have to pick on me.
00:11:49I'm not jealous of your settling
00:11:51on the easy route of submission.
00:11:54What was that?
00:11:55You hit an armadillo.
00:11:57What?
00:11:58No.
00:11:59Yeah.
00:12:00No, I didn't even see it.
00:12:02Are you sure?
00:12:03Positive.
00:12:05Oh my God.
00:12:07I didn't see it.
00:12:08I didn't mean to.
00:12:09Who cares?
00:12:09It's just an armadillo.
00:12:10I swear to God,
00:12:11I didn't mean to.
00:12:13What was that?
00:12:15My check engine light
00:12:16just came on.
00:12:17Why?
00:12:18I don't know.
00:12:18I don't know why.
00:12:19What if that armadillo
00:12:20popped up and busted something?
00:12:21Just stop with the armadillo,
00:12:23okay?
00:12:23I feel terrible.
00:12:25Man, I'm not trying
00:12:26to be stuck at Jamie's house.
00:12:27This shit better not break down.
00:12:29It's not going to break down.
00:12:30Seriously?
00:12:41Just had to make it
00:12:41all the way here.
00:12:42Jamie?
00:12:48We're here.
00:12:49Jamie, you in there?
00:13:03Oh, thank God you're here.
00:13:08And now I don't have to do this alone.
00:13:10What's going on with the toilet?
00:13:12I murdered my bird, Fanny,
00:13:15and I tried to flush him down there
00:13:17and now rainbow feathers
00:13:18keep coming up.
00:13:19Sick.
00:13:20It makes perfect sense, though.
00:13:23Dad, Mom, Janet,
00:13:26and now Fanny,
00:13:26everybody leaves me.
00:13:27Okay, that's not true.
00:13:29Jamie, we're here right now.
00:13:31And we love you.
00:13:32But you don't love me.
00:13:33You love your husband
00:13:34and those bullshit kids.
00:13:36Let's just take a deep breath.
00:13:37Here, pick one of these.
00:13:39I'll be alone forever.
00:13:41Did you guys get in
00:13:42a really big fight or something?
00:13:43Of course we got into a big fight.
00:13:45That's all we do is fight.
00:13:47She thinks I'm lazy
00:13:48and immature,
00:13:49but she's meticulous.
00:13:51And she takes no responsibility
00:13:52for her faults.
00:13:53Well, she doesn't have any faults,
00:13:55but my friends thought
00:13:56she was a bitch.
00:13:57Your friends thought
00:13:58she was a bitch,
00:13:59or you told them she's a bitch,
00:14:00so that's what they thought?
00:14:01Let me finish.
00:14:02So, I wanted to have a child,
00:14:05and then she didn't think
00:14:06we were ready.
00:14:06No, you're not.
00:14:07And she didn't like me
00:14:09hanging out with Pete.
00:14:10Who's Pete?
00:14:11Pete's my friend.
00:14:12You remember Jerry,
00:14:13Jerry's roommate?
00:14:14Yeah, I remember Jerry.
00:14:15Yeah.
00:14:17Like, this right now?
00:14:19Like, this,
00:14:19what's going on right here?
00:14:21This, I know my body.
00:14:22So, if I tell you that it's time,
00:14:24like, you have to take me
00:14:25to the hospital.
00:14:26Jamie, I think you're being
00:14:27a little dramatic here.
00:14:28Sounds like you just have
00:14:29really bad anxiety.
00:14:31You probably just cut out the caffeine,
00:14:32smoked some weed.
00:14:33No.
00:14:34No, it feels like someone
00:14:35has literally,
00:14:36torn into my chest
00:14:38and just ripped my heart out,
00:14:40like an Indiana Jones
00:14:41in the Temple of Doom.
00:14:42And why can't anyone
00:14:43just love me for me?
00:14:45Why can't any of us be loved?
00:14:47Okay, Polly,
00:14:48not a great time.
00:14:49I really think there's
00:14:50something wrong with us.
00:14:51There's nothing wrong with us.
00:14:53Listen, Jamie,
00:14:54this is how love is.
00:14:55For everybody.
00:14:56Everyone just pretends
00:14:59like it's great
00:15:00and it's perfect,
00:15:01but it's not.
00:15:02It's hard.
00:15:04And sometimes,
00:15:06we think people are the best
00:15:07we can do
00:15:07when really they're not.
00:15:10Okay?
00:15:12Listen, why don't you
00:15:13lie down,
00:15:15take a little rest.
00:15:16Okay.
00:15:17Here's your blankie.
00:15:19Polly and I will go
00:15:20and we'll clean up the house
00:15:22and then we can all
00:15:24have a nice family dinner.
00:15:25How's that sound, okay?
00:15:26Okay.
00:15:27Do you remember
00:15:27how to make the sauce?
00:15:29Yeah, I think I remember.
00:15:31Two cans of tomatoes.
00:15:32I got it, Jamie.
00:15:34I'm really glad
00:15:35you guys are here.
00:15:38I feel strangely aroused
00:15:39right now.
00:15:40Okay, not appropriate.
00:15:52I feel like I'm not
00:16:10going to have a drink
00:16:11but I have a great
00:16:11look.
00:16:12Okay, let's move on.

00:18:18ladies you're looking at a new man yeah yeah good i think all i really needed was a nice nap
00:18:32now i feel refreshed rejuvenated things of that nature
00:18:37anyway it's like my friend pete used to say it's not the who what where why it's just the rejection
00:18:44once you get past the rejection that's the hardest part you know you can move on
00:18:48yeah that sounds right that's a good way to look at it actually
00:18:50hmm and if janet wants to go suck on some other guy's cock that's her prerogative not mine

00:21:13yes we all went through something difficult but but if things hadn't happened exactly how they
00:21:20did if i hadn't gotten to take care of you guys then who knows what kind of mother i would be and who
00:21:26knows where you guys would be and nobody knows where mom and dad are and really do you guys even
00:21:32really care where dad is he's probably dead in a ditch somewhere that's probably true but think about
00:21:40it weren't we lucky that things happened when they did if someone had realized that we were alone you
00:21:48two would have been put into foster care we would have been separated it was mom she was looking out for
00:21:56us oh he's cracked polly please no no i've been living here i've been living with the memories they're
00:22:05fresh i think the demons mom was seeing i i don't think they're demons at all i think we let other

00:24:43So what?
00:24:44What's age?
00:24:45What's age?
00:24:46I dated a 40-year-old.
00:24:47It felt like he was younger than me the whole time.
00:24:48Sounds like a solid choice, Polly.
00:24:50Hey, as long as he's over 18, he's fair game, as far as I see it.
00:24:54Unless you're married, if you're married, trying to get down, means you're a shit human.
00:24:55Yeah, I'm not a shit human.
00:24:56I just happened to look out the window and he ran by.
00:24:59I wasn't talking about you.
00:25:00Women are a totally different story.
00:25:02We deserved to decide by now.
00:25:04I was so worried.
00:25:05I wasn't a good big boy, I was so worried.
00:25:06I was so worried.
00:25:07I wasn't about to say, a doubt.
00:25:08When he was about to say, we just got into trouble.
00:25:11You're gonna have to like get down.
00:25:12You're about to worry to put your mind over your life.
00:25:14If you're married.
00:25:15I mean, you're a shit human.
00:25:16That's what I can do.
00:25:17I'm sorry.
00:25:18So, what's age, what's age?
00:25:19I dated a 40-year-old.
00:25:21I felt like he was younger than me the whole time.
00:25:24Sounds like a solid choice, Polly.
00:25:25Hey, as long as he's over 18, he's fair game, as far as I see it.

00:29:32I changed something different
00:29:42I'll see ya
00:29:47what the fuck was that what the fuck was that you had to make me a painter like it's
00:29:51not cool enough for me to be a mom like it's not valid to have a family
00:29:54um no it clearly wasn't valid enough for you because you didn't fucking tell her about that
00:29:59and really what the takeaway here is what a fucking friend Jesus Christ she just found
00:30:05her window and went straight in for the kill
00:30:07I just pushed them together
00:30:10I opened the window and they walked through it

00:32:20Thank you. Thank you so much. We'll be here.
00:32:23You have reached Robert Jacobs. I can't come to the phone right now.
00:32:45Jamie?
00:32:51Jamie!
00:32:52Yeah.
00:32:54What are you doing down there?
00:32:56I was packing up this box for you guys.
00:32:59Well, I just called the car place and they're sending somebody over.
00:33:03Okay.
00:33:05So, what are you gonna do today?
00:33:09I was thinking about paying my respects to Fanny and masturbating, but not necessarily in that order.
00:33:17Hey, what do you think I should say in the eulogy?
00:33:21Oh, for Fanny?
00:33:22Yeah.
00:33:23Well, I don't know. I... I don't think there's any rules about it. I think you just say whatever... whatever...
00:33:31...to our brother Fanny, who though odious in nature, played a pivotal role in this vast cosmic opera.
00:33:39Fanny, I probably could have been a better caregiver, could have fed you more, gave you more affection, but I had other things going on.
00:33:48Now that you're gone, that's the cross I have to bear. Do you have any words, Fanny?
00:33:55Um... Fanny, you were a pretty cool bird. If I was gonna be reincarnated, I'd hope it would be as a bird.
00:34:05Um... I told you to say cocksucker once. It's pretty cool. You forgot how to do it after a while.
00:34:12Probably for the best.
00:34:14Um... I guess that's probably my fault, not yours.
00:34:18Uh... I hope your spirit lives on and finds a new vessel.
00:34:23Like an eagle?
00:34:25Sure. Like an eagle.
00:34:28Finny, I'm glad I got to know Your gentle, weary soul Now it's time to go
00:34:38Fly away, little angel bird Yesterday's gone.
00:34:45Well, so long.
00:34:55It's like Jonas will be a kid.
00:34:57It's like a small tree, a mighty lion.
00:35:00And so will it be the first praying, little angel of the world.
00:35:02To me, my friend tells you to go.
00:35:06I'm glad I have my father's gone.
00:35:07It's my father's gone.
00:35:09I'm glad I have my father's gone.
00:35:10I'm glad I have my father's gone.
00:35:11I'm glad I have my father's gone.
00:35:13I'm glad I have my father's gone, and I'm glad I have.
00:35:16What's your father's gone?
00:35:18Yeah.
00:35:19At some point, my father's gone.
00:35:21Oh, I have a four- ref square,
00:35:23Yeah.
00:35:24Hi, Leanne?
00:35:28Yes.
00:35:30I'm Sean.
00:35:32Barney called me about your car.
00:35:34Oh, great, thank you. Thanks for coming.
00:35:36What's the problem?
00:35:38I hit an armadillo, my check engine light came on,
00:35:40and then it just died.
00:35:42An armadillo?
00:35:44It was an accident.
00:35:46Well, of course.
00:35:48Well, let me take a look.
00:35:50What happened?
00:35:54What?
00:35:56I broke my ankle.
00:35:58Thank you for asking.
00:36:00I'm broken too.
00:36:04Leanne Bradbury, right?
00:36:08Uh, Jacobs now.
00:36:10Didn't you used to live here?
00:36:12Yeah, I used to.
00:36:14Just visiting my brother.
00:36:18Oh, me too.
00:36:20That's where I'm staying down the street.
00:36:22I don't live here either.
00:36:24Where do you live?
00:36:26Nashville.
00:36:28Hopefully get back there soon.
00:36:30What's in Nashville?
00:36:32Well,
00:36:34I thought I had a record deal.
00:36:36Then the owner of the label went to prison for fraud.
00:36:40So,
00:36:42that was the end to all that.
00:36:44Came back, saved some money,
00:36:46and cool off if I try again.
00:36:48You're a musician.
00:36:50That's cool.
00:36:52If you want to call it that.
00:36:54I guess I'm just trying to fake it till I make it.
00:36:56What about you?
00:36:58What do you do?
00:36:59I'm a caregiver.
00:37:00I give care.
00:37:02So, what do you think about the engine?
00:37:04Do you think you can fix it?
00:37:06Actually,
00:37:08I don't know how to tell you this,
00:37:10but it looks like that little fella smashed up
00:37:14and ricocheted around so hard he broke a rod in your engine.
00:37:16No.
00:37:18Most likely needs to be replaced.
00:37:20No.
00:37:21I'm sorry.
00:37:22It's an expensive bust.
00:37:24Poor little guy must have banged around pretty hard under there.
00:37:30Look, I'm sorry.
00:37:31Don't cry.
00:37:32Don't cry.
00:37:33It's okay.
00:37:34Listen.
00:37:35I'm gonna call around.
00:37:36Maybe there's something sitting in the junkyard somewhere.
00:37:41When I find it, I'll bring it by,
00:37:43and I'll fix it.
00:37:44You can just owe me dinner or something.
00:37:46It's very kind of you, but it's not about the money.
00:37:49It's just...
00:37:51God damn it.
00:37:52That poor armadillo.
00:37:54Come here.
00:37:55It's all right.
00:37:56It's all right.
00:37:57It's all right.
00:37:58I can't imagine you ladies are gonna let me drink alone.
00:38:06Mm-hmm.
00:38:07Fine, but you guys better be sweet to me tomorrow when I'm really needy.
00:38:11Oh, wait.
00:38:12Let's toast.
00:38:13To...
00:38:15coming home.
00:38:16Hmm.
00:38:19It's so boring here.
00:38:20I don't know how you do it.
00:38:21It's a lot easier when I had a love in my life.
00:38:24Of course, I'm speaking of Janet, the great bitch.
00:38:27I wish everyone would shut the fuck up about love.
00:38:30It doesn't exist.
00:38:32Nobody says I love you to me anymore.
00:38:34I love you.
00:38:35Maybe you should learn how to say it first.
00:38:38Polly Bradbury, as I live and breathe.
00:38:41Hi, Benny.
00:38:42How's it going?
00:38:43Heard you were back.
00:38:44Yeah, unfortunately.
00:38:46Why are you back?
00:38:48I guess I'm just trying to relive my glory days.
00:38:51Oh, good.
00:38:52Off to a rollicking start.
00:38:53What is it?
00:38:54The meeting of the Teamsters?
00:38:55Hello again.
00:38:56Hi.
00:38:57I have a couple leads on that engine.
00:39:01Oh, sorry.
00:39:02Should hear something in the next couple days.
00:39:04Great.
00:39:05Hmm.
00:39:06Jamie.
00:39:07Hit.
00:39:08Oh, yeah.
00:39:09Could I please...
00:39:10Oh, no.
00:39:12I'm not trying to smoke pot with a bunch of Philistines.
00:39:13So, no?
00:39:14I think it sucked for everybody.
00:39:15Now, you just tricked yourself into caring and then let your parents trick you into playing
00:39:24sports.
00:39:25You just had to not do that and then it would have been fun.
00:39:26What about you?
00:39:27No.
00:39:28I never felt like I fit in.
00:39:30I was a little emo and wrote poetry so basically I was fucked.
00:39:31You?
00:39:32I was invisible.
00:39:33I also wrote poetry.
00:39:34And I had to drop out of school in the tenth grade.
00:39:35And I had to drop out of school in the tenth grade.
00:39:36I think anybody with brains or personalities or artists would be a kind ofʷ
00:40:05or artists just had a hard time.
00:40:07So we're all fucking angry and we don't understand why
00:40:10until we find an outlet, and then it's just like...
00:40:14I think just artists feel that way.
00:40:17I'm sure mathematicians, politicians, inventors, lawyers
00:40:22all feel that resistance.
00:40:24Every human probably feels a calling.
00:40:26Some just don't choose to go toward it.
00:40:29Some find it harder and more painful not to go toward it.
00:40:34What do you feel called to do?
00:40:36Music.
00:40:38I always thought I'd do something in music.
00:40:41Maybe I could teach music. Maybe I'd produce music.
00:40:45I thought your music's really good.
00:40:48My life's guiding me in directions I don't even understand at the moment.
00:40:52What about you?
00:40:54Um...
00:40:57Nurture.
00:40:59Nurturer?
00:41:00No, you just don't remember what you like to do anymore.
00:41:03Hey, Polly, what I want and what you want, two different things.
00:41:07I'll just say something else for conversation's sake.
00:41:09Okay, um...
00:41:12Writer.
00:41:13But every time I sit down to do it, I suck.
00:41:16Really?
00:41:17Yeah.
00:41:18Why don't you ever tell anybody about that?
00:41:20Because he's the first person who's ever asked me.
00:41:25What about you, Jamie?
00:41:27Well...
00:41:28I've been thinking about getting into home brewing.
00:41:32You know...
00:41:33Different styles.
00:41:34Amber Ale.
00:41:35Cream Ale.
00:41:36Black Ale.
00:41:37Oh, like beer.
00:41:38Yeah.
00:41:39Like beer.
00:41:40Sick.
00:41:43The styles that no one wants to drink anymore.
00:41:45Why?
00:41:48Out of spite.
00:41:51Cause nothing matters.
00:41:52None of this matters.
00:41:53That's the smartest thing you've ever said.
00:41:55Well, then I've got one up on you.
00:41:58Hey, uh...
00:42:01Hey, what if we watched a movie?
00:42:02That's what we should do.
00:42:03Watch a movie.
00:42:04Yeah, 3.30 a.m.
00:42:05Let's start a fucking movie.
00:42:06Oh my God, just chill.
00:42:07There's no such thing as a bedtime.
00:42:09Bedtime is now.
00:42:10This is bedtime.
00:42:11Good night.
00:42:12I hope he has nice dreams.
00:42:17I'm so tired.
00:42:18I'm so tired.
00:42:19I'm so tired.
00:42:20I'm so tired.
00:42:21I'm so tired.
00:42:22A little bit.
00:42:23I'm so tired.
00:42:25Yeah.
00:42:26You just don't have some time to work.
00:42:28It's so tired.
00:42:29And to keep going.
00:42:30It's very, it's crazy.
00:42:32Dreaming is now its hard and happy.
00:42:33Oh, I'm so tired.
00:42:34What if it's just a toy?
00:42:35Do you like my picture, Mommy?
00:42:55It's so good, sweetie.
00:42:57Daddy's going to love it so much.
00:42:59Morning.
00:43:00Morning.
00:43:00Morning.
00:43:01There's some more milk on the stove for you, just like you like it.
00:43:04Oh, my milk.
00:43:07Oh, honey, today's the day we're putting in the new computer system.
00:43:10God damn it!
00:43:12Honey, are you okay?
00:43:14I burnt my hand.
00:43:15Do you need some ice?
00:43:17No, I don't need any goddamn ice.
00:43:19Jack!
00:43:22I'm sorry that I yelled.
00:43:26It's just that goddamn pan.
00:43:28Are you okay, Daddy?
00:43:31Yeah.
00:43:32Yes, I'm fine.
00:43:34I guess Daddy just needs a little rest.
00:43:42And to pee.
00:43:52Okay.
00:43:53Okay.
00:43:53Okay.
00:43:54Okay.
00:43:55Okay.
00:43:56Okay.
00:43:57Okay.
00:43:58Okay.
00:43:59Okay.
00:44:00Okay.
00:44:01Okay.
00:44:02Okay.
00:44:03Do you like my picture, Daddy?
00:44:08Oh, let me look at it, sweetheart.
00:44:10God damn it.
00:44:20God damn it.
00:44:21God damn it.
00:44:23God damn it.
00:44:24I think I got really high.
00:44:41Yeah, I think I might be too high.
00:44:45I'm really struggling to follow this movie.
00:44:50I didn't realize we smoked so much.
00:44:52Me either.
00:44:54I may be a lightweight, though.
00:44:57I don't get out much.
00:44:59Why not?
00:45:01I had a broken heart for a while.
00:45:04You're too young to let that stop you from living.
00:45:08No.
00:45:09No, it was my mom.
00:45:12She had cancer and died a few years ago.
00:45:15We were really close.
00:45:17Benny and my dad were always closer.
00:45:19You know, and I was always more of a mama's boy.
00:45:24I am so sorry.
00:45:26No, don't be.
00:45:28No, it's fine.
00:45:29I mean, it happens to everybody at some point, right?
00:45:32Well, not me.
00:45:34I don't know whether my mom is alive or dead.
00:45:37I don't know where she is.
00:45:41God, I knew that.
00:45:43Shit.
00:45:44I'm sorry.
00:45:45That's so stupid of me.
00:45:46I'm sorry.
00:45:47It's okay.
00:45:48Don't worry.
00:45:49Don't call yourself stupid.
00:45:50We're having some trouble communicating recently.
00:45:52He claims it's stress.
00:45:54I'm a working man, Diane.
00:45:55I work hard.
00:45:57I work in computers.
00:45:58I've seen this a lot in my eight years of counseling experience.
00:46:02But if we work together, we can figure this thing out.
00:46:05Ensure some happiness for you guys.
00:46:06Well, there is one more thing.
00:46:08Diane, don't.
00:46:09He has phobia.
00:46:10That's not relevant here, and it's not even true anyway.
00:46:13It's true.
00:46:13He's obsessed with these corgi dogs.
00:46:17God damn it, Diane.
00:46:18Okay, let's just calm down.
00:46:21Go on about the corgis.
00:46:22He has trouble concentrating on his daily responsibilities.
00:46:25I don't think I have to sit here and listen to you two analyze my private thoughts.
00:46:33Obviously, there's nothing wrong with me.
00:46:34No one's trying to attack you here, Mr. Weatherford.
00:46:37We're just trying to understand so that we can help you.
00:46:40I want a divorce.
00:46:42What?
00:46:42Divorce may be a viable option in this situation.
00:46:45This is a very serious matter.
00:46:46We don't know how corgis can affect a marriage.
00:46:50No one knows.
00:46:51Diane, think about Poppy.
00:46:53Think about what you're doing here.
00:46:54Poppy is a corgi?
00:46:56No.
00:46:57Poppy's our daughter.
00:47:00My God.
00:47:01You motherfuckers.
00:47:01I'm going to tell you when for a moment.
00:47:02Dad, stop!
00:47:02Do you ever know what you're doing to this family?
00:47:04We're in love.
00:47:06Can I ask you something that may seem a little intrusive?
00:47:14Sure.
00:47:14What's your husband like?
00:47:19He's a good guy.
00:47:23He works really hard.
00:47:28He teaches government.
00:47:30He's sort of old-fashioned.
00:47:32Really?
00:47:33Yeah.
00:47:34Weird.
00:47:35I'd expect you to be with, like, a painter or an architect or something like that.
00:47:41Why?
00:47:42Oh, you're just so fascinating.
00:47:45And you seem sort of spiritual in a bright kind of way.
00:47:51And I'm rambling.
00:47:52Yes.
00:47:53I'm sorry.
00:48:00Oh, I'm so stupid.
00:48:02Don't ever call yourself stupid.
00:48:11Oh, hi, Poppy.
00:48:15I want you to understand that this doesn't mean that we're not going to see each other anymore, okay?
00:48:21Your mom and I are going to figure it out.
00:48:24And every other weekend or something like that, we'll get together.
00:48:27Is this because of the picture I drew?
00:48:34Yes.
00:48:35Yes, it is.
00:48:36I'm sorry, honey.
00:48:37But why don't you like Gorgies?
00:48:40It's not that I, uh...
00:48:42Well...
00:48:44It's...
00:48:45I can't do this anymore.
00:48:48I'm so sorry.
00:48:49I love you.
00:48:51Jack, I don't want this.
00:48:55I don't want to fight anymore.
00:48:57Can't we just go back to normal before those goddamn Gorgies?
00:49:10What's wrong, honey?
00:49:12Did you have another nightmare?
00:49:15They're everywhere.
00:49:16I can't get those goddamn things off my mind.
00:49:20Have you thought about the surgery?
00:49:24You mean that surgery where they rip out your brain and replace it with the brain of a goddamn corgi?
00:49:29No thanks.
00:49:31Beverly's husband, Mike, did it and they have been happy ever since.
00:49:35Mike?
00:49:35How would I get my computer work done?
00:49:39Oh, that is just it.
00:49:41You care more about your computers than you do your family.
00:49:44Diane, you know that's not true.
00:49:49Look, um...
00:49:50If I did...
00:49:51get the surgery...
00:49:53I mean, what if it just changed everything?
00:49:57Jack, we're in need of a change, don't you think?
00:50:01Jack, do it for Poppy.
00:50:05Goddamn it, Diane.
00:50:06I think this is exactly what they want.
00:50:09I think those goddamn Gorgies are trying to ruin our lives.
00:50:13And I think that's why you should go through with the surgery, Jack.
00:50:18It's time.
00:50:20I guess I just accepted that I would never find anything better.
00:50:30I mean, it's not like I didn't care.
00:50:34I mean, I cared.
00:50:36But I was so young.
00:50:38And I always made the right choice, you know.
00:50:42But years go by and then one day you wake up and you realize you're living with a stranger.
00:50:51Who knows, maybe I'm a stranger.
00:50:52Okay.
00:51:04Okay.
00:51:12Okay.
00:51:12Right.
00:51:13Okay.
00:51:16Okay.
00:51:17That's a good boy.
00:51:26Mm-hmm.
00:51:35Good boy.
00:51:38What you thinking?
00:51:41Computers?
00:51:43Yeah.
00:51:44Such a good boy.
00:51:47You know, dogs are the only thing on earth that love you more than he loves himself.
00:51:52No, no, no, no, no.
00:51:54Every dog has its day.
00:51:56No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:52:02There's no life calendar.
00:52:19there's no life calendar and people die they get cancer they get by a bus you should always choose

00:55:23Can't sleep? Yeah, me too. I had a weird dream.
00:55:33Do you remember the time when we were at the bus stop
00:55:38and those neighborhood kids came and they ran over my dog
00:55:46and then I carried him to dad
00:55:49and dad threw him in the trash can and told me to get back on the bus?
00:55:57Yeah, I remember that.
00:56:03I'm sorry that happened to you, Jamie.
00:56:09I'm used to it. I've always been used to it.
00:56:17Why don't you get a little sleep, okay?
00:56:31How much?
00:56:33How much is it?
00:56:42How much would you help me?
00:56:45How much would you help me?

00:57:26Wake up, honey.
00:57:28Come on.
00:57:29Wake up.
00:57:31Come on.
00:57:32What the heck are you doing out here?
00:57:55And what?
00:57:56I don't know how to do it.
00:57:57I'm sorry.
00:57:58Surprise.
00:57:59I'm sorry.
00:58:00You're right.
00:58:03We're all about to have a sleep.
00:58:05We're all about to have a sleep.
00:58:06We're all about to have a sleep.
00:58:08It's really good to have sleep.
00:58:09good morning how are you feeling guess what you did last night oh you pulled
00:58:36the cubby bear yeah uh-huh I looked out the window and you were lying spready go in the backyard
00:58:43are you serious it's weird right I haven't done that in years I've been waiting for you to wake
00:58:49up so we can go through this box together okay
00:58:53who's this no idea I'm gonna keep it well this is a journal of moms starts before dad left
00:59:12oh there's a page ripped out oh we can fix that here go get me a pencil
00:59:19why so I can you know do the thing so we can see the words why well so we can see what's in there
00:59:27don't you want to know what you wrote no why not Leanne she was insane do you know how much
00:59:37therapy and analysis I've had to go through to get this fucking far and I'm still a goddamn mess
00:59:43no one don't want to fucking know what she has to say that might mess me up worse maybe there are
00:59:49some answers in here like like why she left where she was gonna go what was going on in her head I
00:59:59mean even if it is all cuckoo gibberish at least it is some kind of an answer and it means something
01:00:06it does to me okay that's fine for you but she never locked you in a closet with Jamie for a day
01:00:13and a half while I went to a fucking sleepover oh well I am so sorry that I took one night to be a
01:00:19teenager I mean Jesus Christ Polly how can you be so selfish do you have any idea what it was like
01:00:29to basically become a parent at the age of 16 I dropped out of high school I lost all my friends
01:00:39I lost my boyfriends I had to deal with all the gossip in this small fucking town and you were
01:00:45sheltered from all that because you were so little and I was the one who sheltered you but I had to take
01:00:52the brunt of it and I'm still dealing with it and it sucks so I am so sorry that you had to spend a
01:01:01day in the closet holding your brother's hand while I was doing everything I could to keep our family
01:01:06together I mean really can you even imagine that no I can't imagine what that's like I'm sorry I just
01:01:20don't know if I'm ready to deal with seeing what her headspace was like don't be sorry just please
01:01:29just try to understand you're not the only one who is hurt by this who's dealing with us who's still
01:01:36trying to clean up the mess I mean just try not to make it all about you will you please just give me a
01:01:46pencil
01:02:16is that a poem? I think so all the hurt has left me now a hollow shell that big fat cow really my heart's ripped out frozen and hard I buried it next to you in our
01:02:44backyard the spot was measured it wasn't bad my vengeance pleasured no one was sad our faithful
01:02:55son is keeping guard of our family secrets in the yard what the hell does she mean she buried it next
01:03:03to him in the yard I don't know but I really feel like she's ripping off somebody right there you suppose it's a metaphor
01:03:09so
01:03:23Do you think Dad's down there?
01:03:49I don't know.
01:03:49The spot's measured.
01:03:54I don't know.
01:03:55What do you mean you don't know?
01:03:56Please say something else.
01:03:57I don't know.
01:03:58I don't know what he wanted me to say.
01:03:59What I think?
01:04:00Yes, please.
01:04:01I don't know what I think.
01:04:02Just give me a second.
01:04:06So Mom killed Dad, buried him in the yard,
01:04:09drove her fucking crazy.
01:04:10That's why she left.
01:04:12And he's actually just been here this whole fucking time.
01:04:14Okay, okay, okay, okay.
01:04:15Let's just think about this logically, okay?
01:04:17Mom was nuts.
01:04:18And even if she did kill Dad,
01:04:21do you think that she had the strength
01:04:22to take him out here to drag his body out
01:04:24and dig a hole and throw him in it?
01:04:26I mean, she was tiny.
01:04:28I can't imagine doing that.
01:04:29Can you imagine doing that?
01:04:33Irregardless of that,
01:04:34what are we going to do about it?
01:04:37I mean, clearly the cops aren't looking for him.
01:04:39If they ever were, we didn't know about it.
01:04:41So what do you want to do, Polly?
01:04:42Do you want to dig and dig until we find something?
01:04:44I mean, think about it, Polly.
01:04:48Do you really want to see your dead dad
01:04:50covered in dirt?
01:04:54I mean, if Mom killed Dad,
01:04:57and he's been out here all these years,
01:05:01maybe we should just let him rest in peace.
01:05:04I'm going to dig him up.
01:05:31Let's make Jamie do it.
01:05:32I mean, I'm pretty okay with this.
01:05:37Oh, fuck.
01:05:43Should we have a party?
01:05:49I mean, the only place I know to check
01:05:51is Jerry and Pete's.
01:05:52Unless he slit his wrist somewhere.
01:05:54No.
01:06:02Hi, Jerry.
01:06:07How have you been?
01:06:10Pretty good.
01:06:11Thinking about having a baby.
01:06:13Or getting a rabbit.
01:06:17Rabbits are cool.
01:06:19Wow, rabbits.
01:06:21Um,
01:06:21is
01:06:22Jamie here
01:06:24or Pete?
01:06:25I haven't seen Jamie in a while.
01:06:33But Pete's here.
01:06:34He's in his room.
01:06:36Oh, do you mind if we...
01:06:39No.
01:06:40Not at all.
01:06:40Come in.
01:06:55Well, hello.
01:06:57Hi.
01:06:58Uh,
01:06:59we're Jamie's sisters.
01:07:02I know.
01:07:03I've heard all about you both.
01:07:05I'm pretty sure he missed the details on you.
01:07:07Well, I figured I'd be taller.
01:07:09Classic James.
01:07:11Exactly.
01:07:11No, not exactly.
01:07:13Well, let me explain.
01:07:14As you probably know,
01:07:16my dad and James have been friends
01:07:17for a long time.
01:07:20Well, six or seven years ago,
01:07:21we started having a real-time bond.
01:07:23We realized we had the same interests.
01:07:25We both liked philosophy,
01:07:27video games,
01:07:28jelly beans.
01:07:30So,
01:07:31eventually,
01:07:31over time,
01:07:32he started coming over here
01:07:33for me
01:07:34instead of my dad.
01:07:35My dad and James
01:07:37are still friends superficially,
01:07:39but
01:07:40we have a more
01:07:42spiritual bond.
01:07:43Oh.
01:07:44That makes
01:07:45total sense.
01:07:46Have you seen
01:07:47Jamie today?
01:07:48I spoke to him last Wednesday.
01:07:50He asked if I could come over
01:07:51and bring a bottle of Yoo-Hoo
01:07:52and an extra controller,
01:07:53but
01:07:54I was busy
01:07:55and I don't have a car
01:07:57yet.
01:08:00I've been trying to get through to him.
01:08:02He
01:08:02is really upset.
01:08:04I've talked to him about therapy and stuff,
01:08:06but
01:08:06he just puts a wall up on everything.
01:08:09Doesn't respond.
01:08:11Does he seem all right to you?
01:08:13What's the normal grading scale?
01:08:15He just,
01:08:16he left this morning
01:08:18and he didn't say where he was going
01:08:20and he didn't take his car.
01:08:21Can I ask you a question?
01:08:24In hopes that you won't relate to James?
01:08:27Sure.
01:08:36Have you heard from
01:08:37Janet?
01:08:39No, no, not at all.
01:08:41Do you know about
01:08:43Janet and...
01:08:44Yes, and frankly
01:08:46that's what I'm worried about.
01:08:48I sort of may have
01:08:49made a joke online
01:08:50about
01:08:51how I like Janet
01:08:53because I do.
01:08:55And I've been worried
01:08:55ever since about her.
01:08:57She just disappeared
01:08:58and
01:08:58I don't know if it was
01:09:00because of me
01:09:00or what,
01:09:02but
01:09:02I haven't heard from Janet
01:09:04in weeks.
01:09:05If you find her,
01:09:07can you tell her to call me
01:09:08so I know
01:09:10everything's all right?
01:09:13Yeah, sure.
01:09:14And please
01:09:15don't tell James.
01:09:17It was a stupid joke
01:09:18and I shouldn't have done it.
01:09:19Yeah.
01:09:20That's fine.
01:09:21Right?
01:09:21Yeah.
01:09:23Well,
01:09:23great.
01:09:24Everything he said
01:09:25about you two
01:09:26is true.
01:09:28Do you want to play
01:09:28games together?
01:09:32Pass.
01:09:32Oh, yeah.
01:09:33What?
01:09:33Sorry,
01:09:34we should probably
01:09:35be going.
01:09:35But thank you.
01:09:36Well,
01:09:38say hi to James for me
01:09:39and I'll look out
01:09:40for his gamertag.
01:09:41Will do.
01:09:43Yep.
01:09:45Adios.
01:09:50It's always
01:09:51a fucking cemetery.
01:09:56There he is,
01:09:57fucking weirdo.
01:09:58Oh, my God.
01:10:01What a fucking weirdo.
01:10:06He's adopted.
01:10:09Jamie,
01:10:09where have you been?
01:10:10We have been looking
01:10:11for you everywhere.
01:10:12What are you doing here?
01:10:14Well,
01:10:14I tried to kill myself
01:10:15and then I thought
01:10:17maybe not.
01:10:22What did you do
01:10:24to your wrists?
01:10:25You don't want to know.
01:10:28Nothing.
01:10:29He did nothing to his wrists.
01:10:30All right,
01:10:30shut the fuck up.
01:10:32Now's not the time,
01:10:32all right?
01:10:32Jamie,
01:10:33why do you want to die?
01:10:36I think it's because
01:10:37I hate myself.
01:10:39But why?
01:10:40You're so wonderful.
01:10:41Well,
01:10:41that's really nice
01:10:42coming from you,
01:10:44considering you're
01:10:45practically my mother.
01:10:47But time has proven
01:10:48that nobody loves me.
01:10:50That's not true.
01:10:51Everybody loves you.
01:10:52We love you.
01:10:53Pete loves you.
01:10:54Okay,
01:10:55fuck Pete,
01:10:56first of all.
01:10:57I hate him.
01:10:58Jamie,
01:11:00sometimes in order
01:11:01to feel love,
01:11:02you have to be able
01:11:02to give love to others.
01:11:04That's not true.
01:11:06It's not true.
01:11:08I've given Polly
01:11:09all kinds of love
01:11:09through the years
01:11:10and she still hates me,
01:11:11just for an example.
01:11:12You haven't given me shit.
01:11:15I don't know why
01:11:16you're even indulging him.
01:11:18He's just fucking faking
01:11:19so he can get
01:11:19some fucking attention.
01:11:21You need to grow up.
01:11:22Oh my God,
01:11:24none of us know
01:11:24how to take care
01:11:25of ourselves.
01:11:26Well,
01:11:27that's probably because
01:11:28I never taught you.
01:11:29It's not true.
01:11:30You taught us a lot.
01:11:33You taught us to wipe
01:11:34from front to back
01:11:35and that's came in
01:11:36really handy for me
01:11:36but I can't speak for Polly.
01:11:39Well,
01:11:39I would like to take
01:11:40this opportunity
01:11:41to apologize
01:11:42to both of you
01:11:43for basically
01:11:45every choice
01:11:46I've ever made
01:11:46in my entire life
01:11:47which has been
01:11:48a complete failure.
01:11:51I'm glad
01:11:52that amuses you.
01:11:54I don't have any joy left.
01:11:56Maybe I'll kill myself.
01:11:58Let's all kill
01:11:58ourselves together.
01:11:59Well,
01:12:00you know,
01:12:01you don't have to
01:12:01choose anything.
01:12:02You don't have to
01:12:02choose one way
01:12:03or the other.
01:12:04You just gotta find
01:12:05someone,
01:12:05like a special someone.
01:12:06For instance,
01:12:07I found someone
01:12:08and then she left me.
01:12:09Yeah,
01:12:09look how that worked out.
01:12:11Yeah.
01:12:11Let's not choose
01:12:12any fucking one.
01:12:14Yeah,
01:12:14maybe we should
01:12:15just choose nobody.
01:12:18Hey,
01:12:19something happen
01:12:19to your place?
01:12:22Hey,
01:12:22Leanne,
01:12:23Sean Howell.
01:12:24So,
01:12:24you're not gonna believe it
01:12:25but I found a used engine
01:12:27that I can replace
01:12:28shoes with.
01:12:28It's crazy I found
01:12:29one so fast.
01:12:30Anyways,
01:12:31I'm going to pick it up now.
01:12:33Are you busy tonight?
01:12:34Maybe we could do
01:12:35that dinner payment
01:12:36we talked about.
01:12:38If that's still something
01:12:39that's okay with you.
01:12:40If not,
01:12:41it's okay.
01:12:42Benny,
01:12:42I know,
01:12:43wants to apologize
01:12:43to Polly for throwing
01:12:44up in her room.
01:12:47Well,
01:12:48give me a call back
01:12:50if it's something
01:12:50you'd still be interested in.
01:12:52Bye.
01:12:54This looks amazing.
01:12:55Yeah,
01:12:55man,
01:12:56you really went all out,
01:12:57man.
01:12:57You look great,
01:12:58too.
01:12:59Did you do something
01:12:59different?
01:12:59What's going on?
01:13:00Me?
01:13:01Yeah.
01:13:02Maybe a little.
01:13:03You do look great,
01:13:04Leanne.
01:13:05And you know
01:13:06what would make you
01:13:06look even greater?
01:13:08It's mom's necklace.
01:13:10I'd like to give it to you.
01:13:12Thank you,
01:13:13Jamie.
01:13:14Mm-hmm.
01:13:15There's more than one
01:13:15sweetheart in this house.
01:13:18The Howell Brothers.
01:13:19More like the Owl Brothers.
01:13:21Could you stay up
01:13:22all damn night?
01:13:23So how are you today?
01:13:25I'm doing fine,
01:13:25thank you.
01:13:26It was really nice
01:13:27speaking with you last night.
01:13:28Yeah,
01:13:28that was fun.
01:13:29I had a really good time.
01:13:30It's really good
01:13:31to finally have
01:13:32all that car business
01:13:33taken care of, too.
01:13:33Yes,
01:13:34thank you.
01:13:34Again,
01:13:35I appreciate it.
01:13:36You're feeling better,
01:13:37I see.
01:13:38Yeah,
01:13:38yeah,
01:13:38you know,
01:13:39water and regular sleep.
01:13:42Good,
01:13:42good for you.
01:13:43Maybe we should
01:13:44finish that movie later.
01:13:46That's a really good idea.
01:13:48Corgi Stu,
01:13:48anyone?
01:13:49Hey,
01:13:51I don't know
01:13:53how to bring this up
01:13:54or talk about it,
01:13:55really.
01:13:57It's none of my business,
01:13:58but...
01:14:00Jamie?
01:14:02Why
01:14:03were you
01:14:04in Polly's room
01:14:05last night?
01:14:07The hell?
01:14:07You were
01:14:08in Polly's room
01:14:09last night.
01:14:10I saw you.
01:14:11I was looking around
01:14:12for something
01:14:12and I looked up
01:14:15and I saw
01:14:15that there was
01:14:16someone there
01:14:16and then I looked up
01:14:17further and I saw
01:14:19that outline of a penis
01:14:20against some briefs,
01:14:22looked up from there
01:14:23and I saw your face.
01:14:25It was you,
01:14:26whatever,
01:14:26I don't know,
01:14:26I just,
01:14:27do you,
01:14:27what were you
01:14:28doing in there?
01:14:30What are you,
01:14:30what are you talking about?
01:14:31I don't go into
01:14:32Polly's room.
01:14:33I told you you were drunk
01:14:34and not to bring it up.
01:14:36I know,
01:14:37look,
01:14:37I was a little drunk,
01:14:38but I wasn't that drunk,
01:14:38I don't really get
01:14:39that drunk,
01:14:41I wasn't blacked out
01:14:42or anything.
01:14:43He's a liar.
01:14:43I feel like I don't remember.
01:14:44I'm sorry,
01:14:44my brother,
01:14:45it's kind of stupid sometimes.
01:14:48Benny,
01:14:48it sounds like
01:14:49maybe you have
01:14:50a bit of a problem.
01:14:51You know,
01:14:52Polly's got some experience
01:14:53with substance abuse,
01:14:55you should maybe
01:14:55talk to her.
01:14:56Yeah,
01:14:57you might also want
01:14:57to get some psychoanalysis
01:14:59on why you're thinking
01:14:59about my brother's junk
01:15:00all night.
01:15:01I wasn't thinking
01:15:01about your brother's junk
01:15:02all night,
01:15:03well,
01:15:03actually,
01:15:04I was,
01:15:04but I'm telling you,
01:15:06this is a real...
01:15:08Yeah,
01:15:09I was pretty drunk
01:15:10last night too.
01:15:11Somehow,
01:15:11I'm really sorry
01:15:12about that.
01:15:12Oh,
01:15:13Are you okay?
01:15:15Yeah.
01:15:17No,
01:15:17I just have
01:15:18a terrible headache.
01:15:19I ran out
01:15:21of my medicine.
01:15:22I think it's...
01:15:23That's...
01:15:24Children.
01:15:31Mom?
01:15:32Bert,
01:15:33this is really exciting.
01:15:35What the shit?
01:15:36What happened
01:15:37to Sean and Benny?
01:15:38Leanne,
01:15:38what's going on?
01:15:39I don't know.
01:15:41Mom?
01:15:42How are you here?
01:15:43Hey,
01:15:44don't know how to...
01:15:45Just listen up.
01:15:45She's here to take care of us.
01:15:46Go ahead, Mom.
01:15:47She can't take care of us.
01:15:48She's mad.
01:15:48Oh,
01:15:49I'm not mad.
01:15:50I love you, dear.
01:15:51I'm here again,
01:15:52you know,
01:15:52for you.
01:15:54I was stuck in this house,
01:15:55but Jamie let me in.
01:15:58He was always
01:15:58the most loyal.
01:16:00It's not your turn,
01:16:01Frank!
01:16:03Dad?
01:16:04This isn't real.
01:16:05Would you...
01:16:06What's...
01:16:07But what did you do to him?
01:16:09He just wanted to see you,
01:16:10so I'm letting him.
01:16:12Don't be so great.
01:16:14You killed Dad.
01:16:16Why would you think that?
01:16:17I don't know,
01:16:18but we saw the thing
01:16:18out in the...
01:16:20But look at him,
01:16:21he's dead.
01:16:22He's always been rotten.
01:16:23Fuck it,
01:16:24I'm good at the stick.
01:16:25And he thought
01:16:25I wouldn't notice.
01:16:27Let this be a lesson to you.
01:16:29Always follow your intuition.
01:16:31These boys,
01:16:32hmm,
01:16:33they're fun for some things,
01:16:34but in the end,
01:16:35they're not worth
01:16:36the sacrifice and pain.
01:16:38Never trust a man.
01:16:41Like,
01:16:41not all men,
01:16:43right?
01:16:43You knew about all this?
01:16:45Maybe,
01:16:45maybe.
01:16:46Why did you leave us,
01:16:48Mom?
01:16:49I wasn't good
01:16:50at being a mother
01:16:50back then.
01:16:51When things went south
01:16:52with your dad,
01:16:53I remembered everything
01:16:54that I was missing.
01:16:55So,
01:16:55I went after my desires,
01:16:58and I met someone
01:16:58at my lowest.
01:17:00Was his name Pete?
01:17:01No.
01:17:02Men are just
01:17:03a waste of time.
01:17:05Like this one.
01:17:06Let him speak.
01:17:08Fine.
01:17:09But you know the drill,
01:17:10Frank.
01:17:12Dad,
01:17:12you have the floor.
01:17:14Hey,
01:17:14kids!
01:17:15You all look swell.
01:17:17Real swell.
01:17:19Look,
01:17:20I fucked up real bad,
01:17:22but sometimes you get to thinking
01:17:23you want to upgrade,
01:17:24you know?
01:17:25Sometimes you want,
01:17:26you want something different
01:17:27because you're bored,
01:17:28but I realized too late
01:17:30that true love
01:17:31gets better with age.
01:17:33It's important to think
01:17:34the big decisions
01:17:36all the way through
01:17:37to the consequences.
01:17:42Jesus Christ,
01:17:43Frank.
01:17:45That's gross,
01:17:45Dad.
01:17:47I should have never
01:17:48done that to my family.
01:17:50I deserved everything
01:17:51I got.
01:17:56Your mother was right,
01:17:59and I want to tell you all,
01:18:01I'm sorry,
01:18:04and I'm very proud
01:18:06of all of you.
01:18:07Oh, hell,
01:18:12why not?
01:18:13Sisters?
01:18:19Janet?
01:18:20What I want to know
01:18:21is how I got dragged
01:18:22into all this.
01:18:23Mother,
01:18:23if you may.
01:18:25You see,
01:18:26James' mother is top tier,
01:18:27you know.
01:18:28And Jamie thought
01:18:28you were acting
01:18:29very suspiciously.
01:18:30Around 12-year-old Pete?
01:18:32Really?
01:18:32He's the one,
01:18:33and as misguided
01:18:34as he may be.
01:18:35Jesus Christ.
01:18:36And against his mother,
01:18:37he's a fuck.
01:18:38Although she never liked you,
01:18:39let's all be clear about that.
01:18:40You were never approved.
01:18:41Never approved!
01:18:43This one hit you
01:18:44over the head one night,
01:18:45bashed your skullin' ya.
01:18:47Well, he didn't really
01:18:47have a plan,
01:18:48so he'd preach your mother.
01:18:50She answered,
01:18:51said she could help him
01:18:52dispose of you
01:18:52if he did something
01:18:53for her in return.
01:18:55So after weighing his options
01:18:56for a moment,
01:18:57that's what happened.
01:18:58What the hell?
01:18:59I'm dead because of that?
01:19:00All I did was give that kid
01:19:01juice and goldfish.
01:19:03Well, I'm sure
01:19:03it was much worse.
01:19:04I'm sure you opened
01:19:05that package like a real slut.
01:19:08It's not about what you do,
01:19:09it's about how you do it.
01:19:10Yeah, that's true.
01:19:12You did.
01:19:13Pete told me.
01:19:14But, in Janet's defense,
01:19:16you were never able
01:19:16to get over her acne problem.
01:19:18You're clinically insane!
01:19:20You're clinically stupid.
01:19:21All of you are insane!
01:19:23Oh, I hate that word.
01:19:25You're just gaslighting us.
01:19:26But that's not gaslighting.
01:19:27You're gaslighting us!
01:19:29Through all this time,
01:19:30you were never nice to me,
01:19:31even though I was just
01:19:32a placeholder to you.
01:19:33You didn't have to go
01:19:34and waste all my time
01:19:35and then take my life.
01:19:36You could've left me
01:19:37as happy as you found me
01:19:39if you weren't so selfish.
01:19:41You know, I was doing pretty good
01:19:42before you found me
01:19:43and knocked me down.
01:19:45You're gonna rot in hell for this!
01:19:47You of all people
01:19:49should know, Janet,
01:19:50there is no hell.
01:19:53No!
01:19:55Thank you, Mom.
01:19:56That was harsh.
01:19:57Why are you doing this to us?
01:19:59Doing what?
01:20:00You can't just come back now
01:20:01after all these years
01:20:02and act like nothing happened.
01:20:03You mean you can't forgive me?
01:20:05I mean, we're family!
01:20:06No!
01:20:07I'm your mother!
01:20:08Yeah, well, you're not
01:20:08the mother you should've been!
01:20:09Well, I'm the best mother I can be!
01:20:12I mean, you're not
01:20:37Decapitated.
01:20:47That's rough.
01:20:50Yeah, but guess what caused them to collide?
01:20:54A dead armadillo.
01:20:57Huh.
01:21:01Wow.
01:21:02Well, it just gets weirder and weirder, doesn't it?
01:21:11When you get two men driving home, one of them hits a dead armadillo, they both end up decapitated.
01:21:19One of them had a full tank of gas, too.
01:21:23It's Ted Greer.
01:21:24We got shit over here.
01:21:25Tons of it.
01:21:28The family's here.
01:21:32I guess I better go get this over with.
01:21:47Looks like you were shit out of luck.
01:21:49Oh.
01:21:51Oh.
01:21:53Oh.
01:21:55Oh.
01:21:58Oh.
01:22:04Oh.
01:22:05Oh.
01:22:05Oh.
01:22:37Well, goodbye forever.
01:22:57You are so weird.
01:22:59Come here.
01:23:00I love you both.
01:23:02Be gentle with yourselves.
01:23:03Well, the news of the day is that I've gotten over Janet, and I plan to leave this home.
01:23:11Where are you going?
01:23:13I don't know.
01:23:15But I know I'm leaving this house.
01:23:17And I know I'm leaving this house to one of you.
01:23:20Holly, being the biggest disappointment in the family, could probably use it more than
01:23:23any of us.
01:23:24So the offer is extended to you.
01:23:26Hard no.
01:23:29Always a disappointment.
01:23:32Leanne, what about you?
01:23:34Uh, I hadn't really thought about living here.
01:23:36It's a yes or no question.
01:23:39Uh, give me a bit to think about it.
01:23:42Offers off the table in five, four, three, two.
01:23:45Okay, I'll take it.
01:23:47You'll probably be more in your element here, Elise.
01:23:50Well, on the road again, as Willie Nelson once said.
01:23:55Willie Nelson also said something about an angel flying too close to the ground.
01:24:00And I imagine there's something in there about you, Leanne.
01:24:06See you later.
01:24:07It must be those generation blues.
01:24:22It must be those generation blues.
01:24:30It must be those...
