Transcript
00:00I'm curious, like, how you feel where kind of body horror is right now, especially after the success of The Substance last year.
00:07Yeah, The Substance was like a huge body horror boom.
00:11Like, we watched that whilst we were in post.
00:13We were editing the movie, and it played the Melbourne International Film Festival.
00:16And myself, the producer Mike, and the editing team, we all went out and watched that movie.
00:20And we left being like, God damn, they had so much more money than us.
00:23Like, oh, the amount of shots that they had.
00:26But it was awesome.
00:27And, like, I watched that in a crowded theater, and people were, like, hooting and hollering and just being like, yes, like, it's not just for weird little perverts like me.
00:33It's for, like, people are really liking this stuff.
00:36And saying that there's, like, body horror stuff coming out in the Philippou Brothers' work and bring her back and talk to me, like, I think it's kind of an evergreen genre because we all, I'll be shocking people here, we all have bodies.
00:49And I have a weird relationship with my body.
00:52We all probably do.
00:53And so to have, like, a horror film where it's not a slasher or an alien or a creature that you can run away from, but it's, like, something inside you that you can't control, like, as a professional hypochondriac, like, that's just something that I find really scary.
01:07Sure.
01:07Sure.
