03:23The biggest mistake he can make here is letting his offense get suckered into trying and matching the pace while the opposition just set.
03:30Even if it's a quick score to begin the game, he's got to have the poise and the patience here to run the opening script they've planned for all week long.
03:38Play your game and not let the circumstances dictate and force your hand early.

03:46And he will have this across that 40-yard line before they manage to stop him.

03:57I'm not going to call this a muscle drive here in this first quarter, Brock, but when your opponents start the game with six, it feels like you need some sort of answer.
04:04You need a response, right? You need a response. You don't need all these home runs or big highlights.
04:09But you just need to keep matriculating that ball down the field.
04:13This is tough running his weather out there, but he keeps the feet moving, gains three.

04:21I know that may look like a whole lot of nothing burger on the stat sheet, but those are the kind of plays, that inside run,
04:28that you see creative play action come off of later in the game.

04:46Well, his buddy was there to swarm to the ball and make that play just as it gets to the line of scrimmage.

06:17Well, this entire game script is playing out just the way they want to.

06:47I don't care how good a secondary you are, how loaded you are with talent,
06:52when you've got time to allow a receiver to work from one side of the field all the way to the other versus zone coverage,
06:58well, you're going to make a defense pay.

07:05And then he just had a little traction on that, so it's Beyonce fights for a couple.
07:10Two on the pickup there, and it's going to be second and eight.
07:14Okay, that's a run that's whole hump on the stat sheet,
07:16but if you see a bigger play on the ground later on,
07:19it'll largely be because of a play just like that one,
07:22softening up the front and opening the door for a bigger gap in the future.
07:26He's hanging on to this one on the second down option,
07:35and he gets it through the midfield strike and on the cold side of the field.
07:40Give him about three yards, and now they can have 35 to figure out.
07:44I can promise you, that's not what it looked like on the practice field nor on the whiteboard.
07:49Typically, QB run is going to net you a whole lot more yardage than that,
07:52but let's give some credit.
07:53That strong effort by that defensive front who contained a play,
07:57it typically goes for a whole lot more.

08:26I think it limited their ability to stop what turned into a pretty impressive touchdown.
