00:00we definitely knew at this time last year sam that missouri was headed toward legalizing sports
00:04betting and that happened in quarter four at the end of last year uh saw some reports about
00:09mississippi and wisconsin maybe going online i guess i'm sort of asking at this point more about
00:15wisconsin than mississippi because sam quite frankly i've been hearing about mississippi
00:18going online for like six years and then nothing ever happens they do have the retail shops there
00:23is this something that we should be paying attention to this year
00:26yeah i think you're spot on with uh with mississippi first of all craig it's kind of been
00:32the same story the tribal casinos or the uh the commercial casinos the retail casinos um floating
00:38the idea and then kind of backing off but with wisconsin the uh the problem has rested largely
00:44on getting the tribes um who have a lot of power there to agree to the a framework that the commercial
00:50operators would want as well um you know i don't i wouldn't hold my breath on wisconsin's kind of
00:56start of the year you hear some bubblings you never really know where it's going to end up um if we
01:00could see some real momentum in wisconsin if we see it in any state this year uh but again it's
01:05another complicated tribal situation and we'd have to kind of see how everything plays out
01:10throughout the legislature the priorities of the year as well and then obviously you have a lot of
01:15other issues that are big on wisconsin's docket right now as well i don't know if legalizing sports
01:20betting is going to be one of them but it certainly could pop up and we'll keep watching it
01:24uh the rest of the year as these legislatures really unfold and lawmakers get back to work
