00:00U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the United States to withdraw from 66 international
00:05organizations, saying they no longer serve American interests. In a memorandum signed
00:11on Wednesday, the White House said the move aligns with Trump's American forced agenda.
00:16The list includes 31 United Nations bodies and 35 non-U.S. organizations. Many of them
00:23focus on climate change, global governance, labor issues and development, areas that
00:29administration has criticized as promoting a so-called woke agenda. Among the UN entities
00:35targeted are economic and social commissions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America
00:42and the Caribbean, as well as the International Trade Center and the International Law Commission.
00:48The decision comes as Trump approaches the first anniversary of his second term. The announcement
00:54follows fresh tensions with allies after Trump questioned whether NATO would defend the United
01:00States if needed amid growing disputes over Greenland and transatlantic security.
